Al-Zarqawi May Be Among Dead in Iraq Fight
BAGHDAD, Iraq – U.S. forces sealed off a house in the northern city of Mosul where eight suspected al-Qaida members died in a gunfight — some by their own hand to avoid capture. A U.S. official said Sunday that efforts were under way to determine if terror leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi was among the dead. …
In Washington, a U.S. official said the identities of the terror suspects killed was unknown. Asked if they could include al-Zarqawi, the official replied: “There are efforts under way to determine if he was killed.” ……
American soldiers maintained control of the site, imposing extraordinary security measures, a day after a fierce gunbattle that broke out when Iraqi police and U.S. soldiers surrounded a house after reports that al-Qaida in Iraq members were inside.
Three insurgents detonated explosives and killed themselves to avoid capture, Iraqi officials said. Eleven Americans were wounded, the U.S. military said.

I promise you we are not the land of the free because of war protestors, because of politicians that USE their political status to sell America down the drain or want to FEDX us right into the hands of the terrorists. The USA has freed more human beings in 230 years than the rest of the world combined. America has a provable history of freeing oppressed people all over the world in fighting evil dictators. There is a bond between the radical Islam and the American left that not only sickens me, but also angers me!

February 14, 2003 — about six weeks before troops from the
United States and Britain entered Iraq, bin Laden said:
“The interests of Muslims and the interests of the socialists coincide in the war against the crusaders.”
Osama was talking about the millions of leftists that poured into the streets of Europe’s capitals and also into the streets of Washington and San Francisco and New York, Miami and all across the globe. Their goal was to prevent the United States and Britain from toppling Saddam Hussein. They chanted “no blood for oil” , they called the United States “the world’s greatest terrorist state”, they called the American government an “Axis of Evil“,and they compared the American president to Adolph Hitler. They are socialists and many in our government are members of Democratic Socialists of America aka Congressional Progressive Caucus.They are names like Rep Cynthia A. McKinney, Rep Maxine Waters, Nancy Pelosi , John Conyers, Henry Waxman, Charles Rangel and the list goes on and on.
Party leadership and candidates are socialists in any reasonable senses of the word, but they know that you can’t (yet) win national elections in the USA under that label….. so instead they resort to constant subterfuge and deception. More than 4 dozen members of Congress are self-identified in the current “Progressive Caucus” and at times the list tops 100. And they are of course all Democrats.
When the leftist protesters in America failed to save Saddam Hussein, they marched their activist troops into the Democratic presidential primary campaigns to support the candidacies of anti-war Democrats. In particular, they supported Howard Dean, who condemned America’s war in Iraq and hinted that, if elected, he would make peace at the earliest possible opportunity and withdraw American forces.
I am furious that treason is not taken seriously these days, Republicans have been extraordinarily polite in confronting their accusers over grave matters of war and peace.
If you are 19 and in Afghanistan, Iraq…. you name it, and being fired on by terrorists, and the leaders in the Democratic Party say you shouldn’t be there at all, it does more than confuse you. It demoralizes you. It saps your will to fight. It gets you killed. The reckless nature of the Democratic attacks on this war are getting Americans killed.
Treason is really not that difficult to define. Treason is when your country is at war and you want the other side to win!!!
The war we are in now the enemy walks among us and can kill thousands of civilians at a stroke. The left’s criticism of the war has been made on grounds that the war has nothing to do with American security. Their accusations are made to undermine that security. When leftist critics launch an all-out attack on the Commander-in-Chief by calling him a liar and the war a “fraud.” as they have been doing to nauseum. It isquite another thing to make these unfounded charges when our troops are still in Iraq and still in harms way, and Saddam’s allies like the French are drumming up world opinion against us. And it is quite another thing, in these circumstances, to say that the President lied to the American people and sent our troops to die under false pretenses.
I declare these names we have heard from Kennedy, Reid, Pelosi, Howard Dean, John Kerry, Jimmy Carter and others are traitors to America and have most definitely committed TREASON and are the enemy within!
The war in Iraq was not about weapons of mass destruction it was about Saddam Hussein’s ten-year defiance of international law, his manifest determination to break the UN’s arms control arrangements and to acquire weapons of mass destruction. Heck, all the time that the freakazoid Blinx so called inspections gave Saddam to get rid of WMD, to move them our of the country is also a possibility.
There was no rush to war, but rather a deliberate march to war authorized by both political parties and a unanimous vote of the Security Council (which France and Russia and China had no intention of honoring). It was not unilateral, and it was not about a “non-existent imminent threat.”
In his State of the Union in January 2003, right before the fighting began, the President said in so many words that we were not going to wait until Saddam Hussein became an imminent threat. We were not going to wait until Saddam already had the weapons in place and the plan to attack us was afoot. We were not going to wait until he struck us first.
The President said this clearly and in so many words…
We will not wait for those events to take place. Saddam will comply with the UN ultimatum. He will disarm and prove that he has disarmed, or we will disarm him. The Bush Doctrine rests on this reality. In a world in which terrorists have the means to kill 3,000 Americans in one attack, we can’t wait around for the enemy to prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that he meant us harm.
The mantra of the left is the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Out of simple consideration of self-defense, we must adopt the view that the friend of my enemy is my enemy.
Never forget what our enemy is capable of doing! That means the terrorists as well as the left, the liberals, the socialists of America, the enemy within.
And NEVER forget why we are free and who we are indebted to for our freedom…Our Veterans, Our Military!

I am shaking and can hardly type, this is a bold move by the Republicans, very smart but dangerous too. Like put up or shut up kind of thing. I am praying with each letter I type that we will not pull out, and that this will end the left’s socialists take over of our country.
If they vote to pull out I am so afraid what will happen to our troops. The insurgents will be even worse then they are now while I troops are still there. All hell is going to break loose!

I received an email from a mother whose son is currently fighting in Iraq with the 101st Airborne Division. He and his platoon have penned a message to the American public that is a little different from the message we are getting via the MSM. He asked his mom to help get this message out and she asked me. Following are excerpts from a speech given by British MP George Galloway in Damascus University, which aired on Al-Jazeera TV on November 13, 2005.
Galloway: Condoleezza Rice has been touring the Arab countries to speak about Syria, so I have come to Syria to speak about Condoleezza Rice.
You know, it never ceases to surprise me that Arab governments can allow a foreigner to come to their country and sit on their tables with their leaders to insult and attack another Arab country. This is the behavior of slave governments, and the Bahraini regime should have asked Condoleezza to leave when she insulted Syria in their presence, in their capital. In fact maybe it’s the rulers who should leave. When she visited Cairo a few months ago, the Egyptian masses – who are still a part of the Arab world, by the way – raised the slogan about the Arab rulers: “Give them a visa ya Condoleezza,” and I believe that this is a slogan which has not lost its meaning.
I want to be very clear. I was clear in July, and what I said in July has followed me all over the world by the American and Israeli propaganda machine, so I want to be very clear again. All dignified people in the world, whether Arabs or Muslims or others with dignity, are very proud of the speech made by President Bashar Al-Assad a few days ago here in Damascus.
For me he is the last Arab ruler, and Syria is the last Arab country. It is the fortress of the remaining dignity of the Arabs, and that’s why I’m proud to be here and addressing you this evening.
After July he (Blair) condemned me for what I said about President Bashar, but only two years before, he was taking the president to meet Her Majesty the queen. If President Bashar is so dangerous a man, why did he take him inside the royal palace in London? The truth is, Mr. Blair changed his policy towards Syria because President Bush ordered him to. Mr. Blair too is a slave of the slaves.
The reason that Syria is facing this crisis is not because of any bad thing which Syria has done or any weaknesses within its democracy, or within its economy, or within its human rights record – and there are weaknesses in all three of these. The reason why Syria is being threatened is not because of anything bad which she did, but because of the good which she is doing. That’s the reason why Syria is being threatened – because she will not betray the Palestinian resistance, because she will not betray the Lebanese resistance, Hizbullah, because she will not sign a shameful surrender-peace with General Sharon, and above all – more than any of these others – because Syria will not allow her country to be used as a military base for America to crush the resistance in Iraq. These are the reasons why Syria is being targeted by these imperial powers.
Now I warned in July that Lebanon was being sharpened as a knife to be used in the back of Syria, and I warned the Lebanese people that those who care nothing for Lebanon are preparing to use you and your government to weaken the last Arab power. And I turned out to be right. This knife has been sharpened and now they are using it.
And I warned in July about this character, Mehlis. And please don’t call him Sayyed (Mr.) Mehlis. I’m not calling him Sayyed Mehlis.
Translator: We don’t call him Sayyed Mehlis…
Galloway: No, I was interviewed by several Syrian journalists today, and every time I said Mehlis, they said SayyedMehlis. No, he’s not SayyedMehlis.
Just because somebody is appointed by the UN which became – you know, Lenin called the League of Nations a “Thieves’ kitchen.” The UN became a thieves’ and beggars’ kitchen, where the thieves make the decisions, and the beggars vote for the decisions, and if the beggars will not vote for the decisions, the thieves will implement the decisions anyway. Because somebody came through the UN it doesn’t make them a saint. Mehlis is not a saint, he’s not an impartial civil servant, he is a policeman with a record of framing Arab governments, and this is why he was given this job. He was the one who investigated the so-called La Belle disco explosion in Berlin. He named Libya as the responsible party for this crime, and Ronald Reagan used this finding to send a massive and violent attack against Libya, which killed innocent people including the daughter of Mu’ammar Qadhafi herself. This was Mehlis’ job, to falsely accuse Libya of this crime, which everybody now knows Libya was not responsible for.
This record of framing Arab countries is the qualification of Mehlis for his new job of framing Syria.
This is why he was given this job, and everybody should be aware that the verdict of the Mehlis inquiry was already fixed before he began his investigation. This murder of Hariri was deliberately planned and executed precisely to implicate Syria and to set in train the events which have unfolded.
Now some people asked me here, do I think that this will all lead to a situation in Syria which can be compared to the fate of Iraq, and I say no. There is no chance of the American army invading Syria, for many reasons. The first reason is because the Iraqi resistance are defeating the American army in Iraq.
You know, when I went to the American Senate on May the 17th of this year, which seems only yesterday for me, and for the American senators – I heard myself say on a video clip the other day – I told the Senate on May the 17th that 1,600 American soldiers had died. 1,600. That was on May 17th. Today, it’s almost 2,100 and rising rapidly. October was the bloodiest month of the war, with the Americans losing 107 dead soldiers in one month.
Now the Americans cannot control one single street in any town or city or village of Arab Iraq. Not one street can they control safely.
They can control the skies, but only if they don’t come low enough for the RPG.
No American soldier who leaves his barracks can be sure that he will come back alive.
Translator: No American soldier who leaves his suitcases can be sure he will return to life again.
Galloway: Every Iraqi, every roadside, every car is a potential deadly ending for him. And the American army… The American army is losing the will to fight.
So America is losing the war in Iraq and she cannot dream of starting a new war in Syria. The second reason is: The public opinion in Britain and America is moving decisively against the policy of Bush and Blair.
The political strength of George Bush is beginning to seep away into the sand. He is not strong enough to declare another war against another Arab country.
And in Britain, these are the final days of Tony Blair. The British media is discussing every day whether this day Blair will resign.
And the third reason why they will never invade Syria is sitting here and is outside in the streets. It is that if they dared to invade Syria, every dignified person in the country would fight them exactly as the people of Iraq are fighting them now.

Air Force fighters strike insurgents

Air Force F-15 Eagles, F-16 Fighting Falcons and MQ-1 Predators flew air strikes against anti-Iraqi forces near the Iraq-Syria border in support of Operation Steel Curtain.
After Marines swept into Ubaydi, a town near Karabilah, Nov. 14, they came in contact with anti-Iraqi forces. The F-15s flew in and dropped precision-guided bombs against enemy forces in a grove of trees.
A Predator unmanned aerial vehicle fired a Hellfire missile at a building from where enemy forces were shooting and successfully drove them from the location.
Later the same day, F-16s and a Predator responded to provide ground support in the same area. The Predator successfully fired a Hellfire missile against insurgents entrenched in a tree line.
Operation Steel Curtain aims to restore Iraqi sovereign control along the Iraq-Syria border and destroy the al Qaeda terrorists operating throughout the Al Qa’im region. More than 1,000 Iraqi Soldiers and 2,500 Marines, Soldiers and Sailors are participating in Operation Steel Curtain.
Ubaydi is on the banks of the Euphrates River, about 12.5 miles from the Syrian border and separated into two main areas, Old and New Ubaydi. Coalition forces cleared Old Ubaydi. Now the Iraqi Army and coalition forces are focusing on clearing the al-Qaeda in Iraq stronghold of New Ubaydi.
This offensive is part of the larger Operation Sayaid (Hunter), designed to prevent al Qaeda in Iraq from operating in the Euphrates River Valley and throughout Al Anbar. The operation is also to establish a permanent Iraqi army presence in the Al Qa’im region.
Iraqi and coalition forces cleared the towns of Husaybah and Karabilah early in the operation, which began Nov. 5, and established a permanent security presence. Coalition officials suspect many of the terrorists now fighting in Ubaydi fled from the two towns.
While the fighting has been sporadic, it has been characterized by ground commanders as some of the heaviest since the operation began.
Intelligence reports indicate the strong resistance to the Iraqi and coalition push into the city is due, in large part, to the fact that terrorists believe they are trapped and have nowhere else to go.
Officials estimate coalition forces killed 30 terrorists since Nov. 15, which brings the total to nearly 80 killed since forces started entering Ubaydi.
Most of those terrorists fell to coalition air strikes, although some were killed in direct small-arms fire engagements with Iraqi and coalition ground forces.
Forces continue clearing the city — house-by-house — occasionally encountering buildings that rigged with explosives and triggered to detonate on entry. The also seized numerous weapons caches, including several that contained suicide vests and bomb-making material.
Overall, forces have found and destroyed 36 weapons caches during the sweep.
Iraqi and coalition forces have also found numerous improvised explosive devices and mines. Coalition forces destroyed the vast majority of these weapons. Detained terrorists revealed the precise locations of many IEDs. Forces have found 107 IEDs and mines.
Coalition forces captured several insurgents trying to sneak out of the area by crawling among a flock of sheep. Overall, the forces have captured 150 terrorists.
