The Secret 1955

The Secret 1955
Dir:Cy Endfield Cast:Wanamaker,Morell,Miller
This is a thriller which ends almost as a Christmas movie. It stars an American actor common in those days due to UK regulations for filmproduction. Wanamaker, in fact, made his place and career in the UK and became a fêted theatre actor and director. However, his acting in this film is a bit odd compared to the English actors with almost Actors studio style acting with some almost stuttering to make it too realistic. There are some fine child actors and the film would be attractive to British film buffs for 1950’s films and is a bit of an oddity. English subtitles available on demand.
