McCain Keeps Wife from ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Cindy McCain wanted to compete on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” but her famous politician husband wouldn’t let her do it, according to The New York Post.
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) refused to let his wife appear as a dancer on the popular reality show, even though she “wanted to do it very badly,” according to an unnamed source who spoke to the Post’s gossip column, Page Six. Cindy McCain had gone as far as speaking to ABC producers about going on the show, the source said.

It must be hard for Cindy who is a Republican to be married to a Democrat like she is. I wish he was not telling her not to do it. She would do great I think. And think of how many totally ugly democrats are out of shape that could never even try something like this.
If John McCain was President I would understand but he is not. What John McCain should do is get out of politics. He has done too much to hurt the Republican party.
Now I can see why Cindy did not tell John ahead of time that she was learning to be a pilot. He might have said no to that too.
This show is not earth shattering of course. But it is simply a fun thing, and one that truly requires the person to be in good shape.

We are seeing the end to having a President that respects our Constitution, that was elected by what the Constitution has said needs to be in order to become President. So President George W. Bush is our last American President.
He was an awesome CIC and the love and respect went both ways and it showed. He will be missed by our troops and I think he will miss them as well.
President Bush did many good things and yes also things I did not like or understand. But across the board, the heart of Bush in most of the things he did were from integrity and honor and a true deep love for our country.
His face showed his love for our country, his tears he shed for our wounded troops and those that were killed was real and never once a photo op.
We are facing a future of something that imo can only be described as a nightmare for our country. A man elected that has been obstinate in his refusal to prove he is qualified to even run for President. A man that loathes our Constitution and has shown us that in his own words. A man whose wife had never been even proud to be an American until she saw her husband MIGHT become President. Two people so self involved that for either of them to use the word ‘ service’ to ones country is nothing but a total lie and farce.
As a CIC this man, Barack Hussein Obama, has proven in word and deed his disrespect for our military.
Just as the nightmare begins January 20th we also have an opportunity to take our country back. Not the GOP, not the RNC and not the rino’s, they cannot be counted on, they have been part of the problem. But conservatives, the base, the consistent driven force of what has made our nation great and standing along side our military all who love our country, in that we have a future. You don’t see Republican at the top of my blog, instead the statement below the logo says I am “American first and Conservative second”. It has been there since I started my blog and will remain that way. We have a handful of true conservatives in the Republican party, but they will let us know how much they want to take our country back in the future too.
Meanwhile, hold tight, pray and I just want to thank each one of your for being a part of Team Theodore, it has meant more to me then I can say. When I cheer, rant or cry about things happening within our country I feel I am among not only friends but my online family. Those of you that are Veterans and those serving now deserve better then what will be sworn in on January 20th. Our Founding Fathers worded things in case this kind of thing would happen, and you know what? I think they also knew that there would be citizens like you and I that have the spirit to do our best to fight back and never give up.

Hudson River hero is ex-Air Force fighter pilot
NEW YORK
The pilot who guided a crippled US Airways jetliner safely into the Hudson River — saving all 155 people aboard — became an instant hero Thursday, with accolades from the mayor and governor and a fan club online.
The pilot of Flight 1549 was Chesley B. “Sully” Sullenberger III, 57, of Danville, Calif., an official familiar with the accident told The Associated Press. Sullenberger is a former fighter pilot who runs a safety consulting firm in addition to flying commercial aircraft.
Sullenberger, who has flown for US Airways since 1980, flew F-4 fighter jets with the Air Force in the 1970s. He then served on a board that investigated aircraft accidents and participated later in several National Transportation Safety Board investigations.
Sullenberger, is also the founder of Safety Reliability Methods. The firm describes itself as providing “technical expertise and strategic vision and direction to improve safety and reliability in a variety of high risk industries.”
Sullenberger’s co-pilot was Jeff Skiles, 49, of Oregon, Wis., a 23-year US Airways veteran.

Republicans Blast Pelosi for Politicizing Intelligence

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision this week to pack the House intelligence committee with Democrats — despite a clear recommendation from the 9/11 commission to keep politics out of intelligence matters — has roiled Republicans.
Concerned by reports of the “politicization” of intelligence, the 9/11 commission recommended in July 2004 that the House and Senate intelligence committees be almost evenly balanced, regardless of the number of Republicans and Democrats in Congress.

“The majority party’s representation on this committee should never exceed the minority’s representation by more than one,” the final report of the 9/11 Commission states on page 421.

The issue of how many Republicans and Democrats should sit on the intelligence committees is not just inside baseball. It goes to the heart of the way national security issues will be debated in the next administration, and how oversight will be conducted in Congress.

“We want to work together with president-elect Obama on matters of national intelligence, but the decision by Democratic leaders to make policymaking and oversight at the House Intelligence committee more partisan undermines that effort,” House minority leader John Boehner, R-OH, said on Wednesday.

“In the last Congress, Republicans led bipartisan efforts to strip all earmarks from the annual intelligence bill and pass terrorist surveillance legislation to help keep America safe,” Boehner added. “And now Democratic leaders are seeking political advantage on a committee charged with protecting the American people.”

The composition of Congressional committees is decided during the early days of the new Congress in January, as the recent election results are factored in.
Keeping intelligence free of politicization will be important in the next administration as key national security issues are debated, in particular Iran.

Journalists Being Shut Out by Obama

According to Sun-Times columnist and long-time Chicago journalist, Carol Marin, journalists at Barack Obama news conferences have come to realize that Obama has pre-picked those journalists whom he will allow to ask him questions at the conference and many of them now “don’t even bother raising” their hands to be called upon.
One wonders why journalists are allowing this corralling of the press? Would they have allowed George W. Bush to pre-pick journalists like that? Would they meekly sit by and allow themselves to be systematically ignored, their freedom to ask questions silenced by any Republican? Would journalists so eagerly vie with one another for the favor of Bush like they are Obama’s?
For her part, it seems that Carol Marin is starting to wonder at the “bizarro world” that is being invented by the pliant and smitten Obama loving press corps.

“As ferociously as we march like villagers with torches against Blagojevich, we have been, in the true spirit of the Bizarro universe, the polar opposite with the president-elect. Deferential, eager to please, prepared to keep a careful distance.

The Obama news conferences tell that story, making one yearn for the return of the always-irritating Sam Donaldson to awaken the slumbering press to the notion that decorum isn’t all it’s cracked up to be.

The press corps, most of us, don’t even bother raising our hands any more to ask questions because Obama always has before him a list of correspondents who’ve been advised they will be called upon that day.”

OK so the rundown on the wax image. His ears are not right at all. But then again LMAO……. statues are made from beeswax. Millions of bees would have lost their homes if they had made his ears life-size. It’s a green thing I suppose.
His lips are more purple and not the same shade at all as the rest of his face. He also has an ugly mole or whatever near his nose that they left off.
They do have the attitude right, that I am better then you, worship me attitude with the arms crossed like that. Hahahahaa

Monica Ramos embraces her husband, former U.S. Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos, two days before he was sentenced to 11 years in prison

The family of imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos was the victim of an attempted hit on their lives this month, as the agent’s wife says someone broke into their El Paso home and filled it with gas, trashing photographs and pummeling their dog.

Just weeks after Monica Ramos spoke with WND about the difficulty of enduring Christmas without her husband, her family returned from visiting Ignacio in prison on Jan 3. While she was away, burglars stole DVDS, a BB gun and cell phone and slashed her couch with a knife.
They even beat her dog and ripped cherished wedding pictures and family photos of their life with Ignacio off the walls, smashing them on the ground.

“It wasn’t so much that stuff was burglarized or that they actually took much,” she said. “What was really hard was that when we got here, the gas was turned on. It was very intentional in that somebody was trying to hurt us.”

Her son opened the front door and discovered the strong odor.

“Right away he alerted me,” she said. “He started yelling, ‘Mom, don’t walk in. Don’t bring my brothers.’ He said, ‘The gas is on!’ He ran in and started turning everything off.”

Her father, Joe Loya, wrote on his blog, “Thank God no one turned on a light! Monica and her three boys would be gone!”

Monica said she believes the gas was left on for two days.

Her 11-year-old son walked into their home and started crying, ‘Look at our house. Haven’t they done enough?’

Then he said, “Why won’t the president just let my dad come home? This wouldn’t have happened.”

Monica said the incident is still under investigation.
Her older son has also faced troubling circumstances at school due to his father’s imprisonment.
Three months ago, his high school hosted a career day. Border Patrol agents spoke with students about the field.

Monica said one Border Patrol agent stood in front of the student body and said, “I know many of you may have heard about this Ramos-Compean case, and we just want you to know that we got rid of two bad apples. You know, not all agents are rogue agents. They’re not out to break the laws.”

“I thought, ‘Oh my God. Is this propaganda?’ Monica said. “This is what you are using as your hiring technique? Did they not ever think that my son was going to be part of that student body? My son got a lot of heat at school.”

She talked to the school and reported the incident to the Department of Homeland Security.
Meanwhile, Monica said visiting Ramos has become very difficult for her family.

“My husband, the deplorable conditions that he’s in, it’s unheard of,” she said in the interview. “When I go in and I see him, I try to keep him in the highest spirits I can possibly keep him in. It is difficult for him.”

She said Ignacio is in segregation for 23 hours every day, and he’s not allowed out of his cell on weekends.

“I’m surprised that my husband hasn’t accidentally ended up on death row with the way he’s being treated in prison,” Ramos said. “He doesn’t even go by a name any more. He is literally 58079180. He’s a number in the system. It is awful.”

When Monica and her children enter the Phoenix prison, they are extensively searched for weapons and drugs. The family is not allowed to touch Ignacio for more than one second because guards worry that visitors may be giving him contraband.

“I mean, are we for real? He’s in there because he was stopping a drug smuggler,” she said. “And yet my kids have to go through an extensive search when we see him. … We’re not able to have any physical contact with him while we’re there. ”

Monica said Ignacio is enjoying the letters he receives from supporters – especially encouraging ones.
Despite the family’s troubles, they remain hopeful that Bush may still show mercy and pardon Ignacio and Jose Compean before Jan. 20.

“Whatever this week holds for us,” she said, “I just want everybody to know that we genuinely appreciate from the bottom of our hearts everything that everybody has done and continues to do.”

Big name senators plead for agents’ freedom
Urge Bush to ‘right the wrongs against Ramos and Compean’

Lawmakers are urging President George Bush to pardon imprisoned Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean.
Today, Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, released an open letter to the president pleading for their freedom.

“Because of the excesses of the prosecution against them, they will continue to sit alone in those cells for another decade,” Cornyn wrote. “That is unless President Bush commutes their unjust sentences. In his remaining days as President, I ask President Bush to show mercy and use his clemency power to give back Agents Ramos and Compean the next 10 years of their lives.”

Cornyn and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., have written two letters to President Bush urging him to commute the men’s sentences. Cornyn has also spoken publicly in support of the agents.
While the senator agreed that law enforcement officers must be held accountable for their actions, he said the agents have endured enough.

“I have reached the conclusion as a Senator, a former judge, and a citizen, that the loss of their jobs and the prison time they have already served has been more than enough punishment,” he wrote. “This is a case of prosecutorial overreaching.”

Cornyn said Ramos and Compean were unfairly treated by federal prosecutors and should not have been charged with a federal gun crime that was not meant to be used against law enforcement officers.

“As a result, the penalty levied on these men was grossly excessive,” he wrote. “… Let us hope that President Bush will hear these concerns and right the wrongs against Ramos and Compean.”

Meanwhile, Rep. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, is also asking Bush to commute the agents’ sentences.

“These officers made mistakes, but their sentences were far too harsh. They have served enough time for their convictions,” Brady told the Montgomery County Courier. “… President Bush needs to relieve these officers of the remainder of their sentences.”

House Minority Leader John Boehner needed only three words to serve notice that President-elect Barack Obama is nowhere close to achieving the big bipartisan vote on the stimulus package he wants so badly.

“There was no Republican input at all involved in what House Democrats outlined today,” Boehner, R-Ohio, said at a news conference at the Capitol. “I just took a moment to look over the draft from Chairman [David] Obey and the draft or outline from Chairman [Charlie] Rangel. Oh, my God.

“I just can’t tell you how shocked I am at what we’re seeing. You know it’s clear that they’re moving on this path along the flawed notion that we can borrow and spend our way back to prosperity.”

As we discussed earlier, Republicans heard the Obama team’s discussion of $300 billion in tax cuts and thought (or hoped to think) that was a floor. Many Democrats, meanwhile, thought it was an unacceptably high ceiling, and pressed that number down to the $275 billion in the package produced by House leaders, in consultation with Obama aides.
$1 billion for community development block grants. $650 million for digital TV coupons. Billions for universities.

Boehner says that much of it isn’t going to do anything to help the economy in the short term. He says the approach by Democrats is to “clean out every dime from the taxpayer,” and that the nation can’t “borrow and spend it’s way to prosperity.”

House Republicans held their own forum today in an effort to talk about their ideas for an alternative, which are largely centered around tax cuts and credits.
The Democratic bill will see committee action on Wednesday, or, as Appropriations chairman Dave Obey put it today, “The day after the crown prince is sworn in.”
