President Trump Attends the Sumo Wrestling Cultural Program
President Trump attended a sumo tournament in Tokyo on Sunday, watching the action from a specially prepared seat near the ring, and presented an American-made trophy to the victor.
He climbed into the raised ring to present the newly made trophy, informally dubbed the “Trump Cup,” to the winne .
“In honor of your outstanding achievement as sumo grand champion, I hereby award you the United States President’s Cup,” Trump said before handing a certificate to Asanoyama .
The president, wearing black slippers instead of leather shoes, took the ring via a staircase instead of using the steps cut into the ring’s clay, bowed slightly and smiled to the crowd. He lifted the 60 pound trophy with some help, and handed it to the newly-crowned champion.

President Trump announced Sunday the annual Rolling Thunder veterans gathering would go on past this year, which was expected to be its last ride.

Since 1988, veterans and supporters have ridden motorcycles through Washington to show support and solidarity for prisoners of war and those missing in action. Organizers said there have been financial and logistical reasons for pulling the plug on the event after this year. But Trump tweeted Sunday that they would be returning.

Actor Jon Voight Disgussing His Support for President Trump





Jon Voight is a longtime Republican who supported Trump during his 2016 White House bid, eventually going on to make an appearance at a concert in Washington, D.C., to celebrate Trump’s inauguration the following year.
“And President Lincoln, who sits here with us … I’m sure is smiling knowing America will be saved by an honest and good man who will work for all the people, no matter their creed or color,” Voight said during the event on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial on May 27, 2019
The actor was appointed by Trump in March alongside former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) to the board of trustees of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

After 15 hours in the air, Trump arrived in Tokyo on Saturday. The visit is meant to be largely ceremonial. The president will meet Shinzo Abe, the prime minister, on Sunday for a round of golf, a sumo tournament and a private dinner.
