In Country With Our Troops

Army 1st Lt. Samuel Colby, the leader of Assault & Obstacle Platoon, A Company, 3rd Brigade Special Troops Battalion, departs a deserted compound he checked for explosives and enemy activity.
The patrolling Soldiers look for anything out of the ordinary. He said if there are usually a lot of people somewhere like a bazaar and no one’s around, that can be a warning sign.

“You’re looking for antennas, wires or anything that’s out of place,” said Army Spc. Nicholaus Connole, a San Antonio, Texas, native serving as a medic with the platoon.

Connole typically moves on foot with the clearance team in order to remain nearby in the event of traumas, heat casualties or emergencies. “Terrorists, he said, sometimes disguise explosive devices within bushes, trees, plastic bags, soft ground, rocks, bottles, boxes and even soda cans.”

According to key platoon leaders, enemy IED placement usually follows certain patters.

“Historically, when they put an IED in a certain place, they’re likely to put another one there,” said Army Staff Sgt. Roman Espinoza, the organization’s platoon sergeant, pointing to the Pech River Road as one example of a heavily mined route.

“The ground is so hard that it takes a lot of work to prepare it for an IED,” explained the Watertown, N.Y., resident

.

“Once the ground is softened up, they’ll take advantage of the loose ground to plant another one. Most times, they’ll put them in a place like a dip in the road where the ground if soft. The bad thing about an IED is you usually don’t find it until it finds you.”

Faces of Islam the Death Cult

Tabari VIII:182 “Allah had enabled Muhammad to take the persons of the Quraysh by force, giving him power over them so they were his booty. Their lives were now his spoil.”

Qur’an 4:90 “For those who join a group between you and whom there is a treaty, or those who become weary of fighting you, had Allah had willed, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you. Therefore if they withdraw and wage not war, and send you guarantees of peace, then Allah has not given you a way to war against them.” [The purpose of terror is to cause people to become so “weary of fighting” they surrender.]

Qur’an 72:15 “The disbelievers are the firewood of hell.”

Tabari VIII:130 “The Messenger said, ‘Two religions cannot coexist in the Arabian Peninsula.’ Umar investigated the matter, then sent to the Jews, saying: ‘Allah has given permission for you to be expelled.”

Ishaq:580 “Our strong warriors obey his orders to the letter. By us Allah’s religion is undeniably strong. You would think when our horses gallop with bits in their mouths that the sounds of demons are among them. The day we trod down the unbelievers there was no deviation or turning from the Apostle’s order. During the battle the people heard our exhortations to fight and the smashing of skulls by swords that sent heads flying. We severed necks with a warrior’s blow. Often we have left the slain cut to pieces and a widow crying alas over her mutilated husband. ’Tis Allah, not man we seek to please.”

Wild Thing’s comment….
Islam is the only ‘religion’ which has the death penalty for converting out of the faith. Islam turns their children into new generations of hateful psychopaths.

Russia Legally Free To Deliver Nuclear Fuel To Iran – official

Russia is legally free to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran – official
ITAR TASS
WASHINGTON, October 4 (Itar-Tass) – As for to day Russia “has no Iegal obstacles to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran,” Nikolai Spassky, deputy head of the Russian Rosatom nuclear agency told reporters on Tuesday.

“We normally work in the framework of international law which is international agreements signed by Russia and resolutions of the UN Security Council,” Spassky said noting that today there are no such resolutions limiting nuclear fuel deliveries to Iran.

However if the United States adopts a law limiting partnership relations with countries cooperating with Iran and if this law affects relations between the two countries in the sphere of nuclear energy “we would revise the situation and react to it,” Spassky said.

The official stressed that in cooperation with Iran “Russia strictly observes al the resolutions by the UN and the IAEA.” He said that Russia would deliver nuclear fuel to Iran before the Bushehr nuclear power plant is launched late in 2007 but only “if Iran signs an agreement on the return of spent nuclear fuel.”

“If by the end of 2007 there are no international norms prohibiting us to deliver nuclear fuel to Iran we will do it,” Spassky said.

Mohammed Salah Trial of His Giving $$ To Terror Groups

Terrorism trial of Chicago-area Hamas supporter opens in October
The criminal trial of Mohammed Salah is scheduled to begin Oct. 16. It is perhaps the most significant criminal terrorism case there has been against a U.S. citizen not affiliated with al-Qaeda. Local, national and international media have been covering the extended pre-trial deliberations and rulings. This drama, playing out in a Chicago courtroom, will resonate far and wide, with important implications for America’s war on terrorism, especially the efforts to stop the flow of financial support from the U.S. to terror groups.
Salah, 53, was born in the West Bank and moved to the U.S. in 1971. A resident of the Chicago suburb of Bridgeview, Salah traveled to Israel and the West Bank in 1993. His ties to the terrorist group Hamas had been under suspicion for some time and, shortly after his arrest at an Israeli checkpoint, $97,000 in cash was found in his hotel room, allegedly to be delivered to Hamas.

While in custody, Salah wrote a lengthy document–he incorrectly thought it was to be read only by his fellow Palestinian inmates–acknowledging his role in financially supporting Hamas. Salah pled guilty in an Israeli military court and served five-years.
Salah returned to Bridgeview in 1998 and was given a hero’s welcome by his friends, family and supporters. Shortly afterward, Salah was designated by the U.S. government as a “Specially Designated Terrorist.” As a result, his assets were frozen and he was prohibited from taking a job or engaging in financial transactions. Less than a year later the Quranic Literacy Institute (QLI), located in Oak Lawn, Ill., which employed Salah for some time, had its assets frozen as well.
For almost a decade Salah taught computers at Olive Harvey College on Chicago’s South Side and was a substitute teacher at a Chicago Public School. But then an investigative report by ABC-TV News revealed this illegal employment, leading to his being fired.
In late 2004 Salah, QLI , the Islamic Association for Palestine, and the Holy Land Foundation were found liable in a civil proceeding and ordered to pay $156 million in damages to the family of David Boim, a 17-year-old American killed by Hamas in 1997. Steve Landes and Rick Hoffman of the Wildman Harrold law firm represented the Boims in that case and are serving as pro-bono consultants to the JCRC’s project of monitoring and exposing the Chicago connection to international terrorism.
In the upcoming criminal trial, Salah and two other defendants are accused of a 15-year racketeering conspiracy that funded Hamas.
A watershed moment during the pre-trial hearings had presiding U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve hearing testimony in a closed courtroom from Israeli Shin Bet officials. St. Eve ruled that Salah’s 1993 confession to the Shin Bet was admissible in court. The defense unsuccessfully claimed that Salah’s confession was made under inhumane conditions and that he was subject to torture. St. Eve rejected the defense’s claims as the prosecution argued that Salah’s confessions were made voluntarily.
Beyond the stakes involved in the trial itself, of special interest to the Jewish community is the tactic of Salah’s lawyers to politicize the case in the media and in the courtroom. Their arguments are more a laundry list of familiar allegations against Israel and its treatment of Palestinians and of the special U.S.-Israel relationship than they are an application of U.S. law on behalf of Salah.
This approach was behind several defense motions, including a rejected request to delay the trial’s start because of the supposed impact the conflict between Israel and Lebanon this summer had on the defense’s ability to prepare.
JUF’s Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) Chair Alan Solow said:

“This trial also represents a milestone in the JCRC’s 12-year-old ‘Chicago Connection to International Terrorism’ project. Years after Salah’s assets were frozen it seemed like neither he nor the local ‘charities’ reportedly linked to Hamas and al-Qaeda would ever face the legal implications of their actions. Still, JCRC stayed ‘on the case,’ continuing to monitor and expose this troubling phenomenon. Today, almost eight years after Salah’s assets were frozen and five years after the assets of the Chicago-area groups Benevolence International Foundation, Global Relief Foundation, and the Holy Land Foundation were frozen, important information and legal repercussions will emerge from this Chicago courtroom.”

Wild Thing’s comment…..
Mohammed Salah is one more reason to simply ban Muslim immigration to the US and treat Islam as a dangerous. And once again our enemy CAIR-Chicago was present for a Public Truth Hearing on behalf of Muhammad Salah.
Just DAMN what the heck is happening in this world. How can something like CAIR exist? Why don’t people ‘get it’ when it comes to what Islam is about and their goals?

It’s Called Accountability ~ Something Foreign To Dems

Wild Thing’s comment………
Until this post I have not written about Congressman Mark Foley. Not because I do not care, but because my anger was so strong I wanted time to collect my thoughts about this.
So this Mark Foley has shown us many things.
He felt safe in his position of somewhat power to be able to think he could get away with his actions. The lives of the young people involved, the representation of our countries citizens and our country was a mere second and third to the duty of one of the leaders of this country.
Foley’s actions are beyond sick to say the least they are demented. But this is bigger then what he did. It should be of concern to every American how our leaders behave, what did they know, and what did they do with their knowledge to show us they are responsible people.
Clinton, yes I am going to go there. He was defended time, and time again by his political party, which can never put character and responsibility above the ticket. We Republican’s were attacked, verbally threatened and slandered for standing up for what was right when Clinton did his wrongs. Over and over we would point out it was more then politics, but Democrats could not handle the truth and kept their heads in the sand sucking up air from deep within our earth. And the same with Barney Franks.
It is not complicated actually. No it is not political nor should it be. But once again the Democrats make it so!!!
The silence of the Democrats during the Clinton regime protecting and defending his many crimes was deafening. Ted Kennedy causes the death of a woman and makes a small apology and continues to sit in leadership. As I mentioned early, Barney Frank’s activities almost laughed off by the Democrats. Their screams now about Foley show us once again how hypocritical they are with every fiber of their being.
As a Republican I was upset, angry and offended by all the things these men have done. But I was also upset about Nixon and now Foley. But then I am not a Democrat and I hold my leaders to the same standard I hold myself, to be accountable for my actions.
It shouldn’t be political but there are two very obvious things that stand out in this vile thing that has happened. Foley is a low life pervert and Democrats show the world once again their hypocrisy. And that accountability ONLY matters to them when it is a Republican and not a Democrat.

Here is an article about Foley you might like to read. Thank you Jack Hamilton for sending it to me.
Who protected the pervert congressman?
By Cliff Kincaid
Just a snipet….

“Rep. Barney Frank had a homosexual lover, selected from a “hot bottom” ad that ran in the Washington (Gay) Blade newspaper, who operated a prostitution ring out of the congressman’s apartment. Though he was reprimanded by the House, Frank is still a prominent member of Congress and held in high regard by fellow Democrats.”

And this is another excellent article. Thank you Jack of Conservative Insurgent for sending this one to me.
American Thinker

Pardon me, but I smell something very peculiar in the way we have learned of the disgrace of Rep. Mark Foley.
The email scandal which led to the resignation of the Republican Congressman is reverberating throughout the capital and the nation, as Democrats attempt to capitalize on bad news for Republicans.

I Can’t Stand This Jerk Musharraf !

West ‘will fail’ without Pakistan
Pakistan’s president has warned the West would be “brought to its knees” without his country’s co-operation in the so-called war on terror.
“If we were not with you, you won’t manage anything,” said President Pervez Musharraf in a BBC Radio 4 interview.
He said the Taleban, not al-Qaeda, was now the focus of the struggle against militancy in the region.
“The greatest danger today is if the Taleban movement gets converted into a people’s movement,” he warned.
Earlier this week Tony Blair assured Gen Musharraf a leaked paper condemning Pakistan’s intelligence service did not reflect his government’s view.
In the leaked report, a naval commander at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) claimed Pakistan’s intelligence service, ISI, had indirectly helped the Taleban and al-Qaeda.
In the BBC interview Mr Musharraf rejected these claims and said ISI’s support was vital.
You’ll be brought down to your knees if Pakistan doesn’t co-operate with you. That is all that I would like to say. Pakistan is the main ally. If we were not with you, you won’t manage anything,” he said.
“Let that be clear. And if ISI is not with you, you will fail.”
He also claims the US and Britain had a historic debt to pay as Pakistan had helped “win the Cold War” for the West.
His comments develop arguments he has made over the past few days at meetings with US President George W Bush and Tony Blair and a speech given in Oxford.
Gen Musharraf said the Pakistani government’s aim in the country’s tribal border areas was to “wean the people away” from supporting the Taleban, pointing out that while al-Qaeda was mainly comprised of “foreigners”, the Taleban’s support was more locally based.
He denied the suggestion that the tribal elders with whom the government has forged a recent agreement are a front for the Taleban.
He said the tribal elders were the “only way” to establish support from the local population: “The army cannot get them on our side”.
After two hours of talks on Thursday Downing Street said Gen Musharraf had accepted Mr Blair’s reassurances.

Wild Thing’s comments…..
This Musharraf is a piece of work! He has a lot of nerve to say the things he has said. NEVER trust these people!
Pakistan is lost to us as an ally. They have ceeded ALL their Taliban/Al Qaeda infested territories to the terrorists as of last week. Pakistan CANNOT control the terrorists in their midst and Musharraf is on borrowed time.
I do not trust Musharraf or Pakistan.
This Pakistani dictator is playing Bush for a fool. After the 911 attack he played wargames to determine whether he could stand against us. He wisely thought that that would be suicidal and decided to pretend to be a great ally while at the same time refusing to take action against the radical islamics in his country.
He has thwarted every effort to kill or capture Osama Bin Ladin and continues to this day to aid the Taliban and Al Qaeda. I believe the so called assassination attempts against him in Pakistan are manufactured. He is playing the US like a fiddle. He will continue his duplicity as long as we allow him to do so.

Bobblehead Muhammed

A ceramic bobblehead doll of the Prophet Muhammed – created to resemble the infamous caricature published by a Danish newspaper – is being hawked online for $22.99 a pop by an ex-Marine.
The unapologetic creator, Timothy Ames, 28, said the bobblehead is similar to “dashboard Jesus” figurines that can be stuck with adhesive to flat surfaces.

“I thought, ‘If they flipped out over some cartoons what will they do with a dashboard Muhammed?'” Ames said from his home in Hawaii.

But Islamic experts are not amused, saying the bobbleheads could anger Muslims, whose religion strictly prohibits depictions of the prophet.

“No depiction of the prophet, even if it is positive, should be made ever – and certainly not one as ridiculous as the bobblehead Muhammed,” said Zvi Ben-Dor Benite, an assistant professor at New York University. “I don’t think it’s about freedom of speech. This is the freedom to insult, which he shouldn’t be doing.”

Ames said several hundred people have purchased the dolls online, and he has paid a Chinese manufacturer to create 1,000 more. “I just think it’s funny,” he said.
Violent protests erupted last winter across the Muslim world after a Danish newspaper published cartoons lampooning the Prophet Muhammed as a suicide bomber. Many European papers reprinted the cartoons.

“People who get p—-d off about this, they’re going to get p—-d off regardless,” Ames.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Linda sent the link about this to me early Sunday morning and I just had to show it to you.
Yes, I ordered one! LOL
If Americans have to tolerate burning our flag on American campuses, then the islam-o-nuts have to tolerate a bobble head doll. I will find some place for it. Maybe on the front of my bicycle. heh heh Or at least some place in my office. hahaha
Let this silly little bobblehead drive the Muslims further into their insanity.
They do their protests anyway, burn our Flag, laugh while they watch 9-11 happening and do their beheadings like it is a National sport of their death cult.

Muslim …Tariq Ramadan Whines To Come Here To Bash US

I have just taken parts of
what this Muslim has written……..

Why I’m Banned in the USA
By Tariq Ramadan
Sunday, October 1, 2006
London
For more than two years now, the U.S. government has barred me from entering the United States to pursue an academic career. The reasons have changed over time, and have evolved from defamatory to absurd, but the effect has remained the same: I’ve been kept out.
First, I was told that I could not enter the country because I had endorsed terrorism and violated the USA Patriot Act. It took a lawsuit for the government eventually to abandon this baseless accusation. Later, I reapplied for a visa, twice, only to hear nothing for more than a year. Finally, just 10 days ago, after a federal judge forced the State Department to reconsider my application, U.S. authorities offered a new rationale for turning me away: Between 1998 and 2002, I had contributed small sums of money to a French charity supporting humanitarian work in the Palestinian territories.
I am increasingly convinced that the Bush administration has barred me for a much simpler reason: It doesn’t care for my political views. In recent years, I have publicly criticized U.S. policy in the Middle East, the war in Iraq, the use of torture, secret CIA prisons and other government actions that undermine fundamental civil liberties.
My experience reveals how U.S. authorities seek to suppress dissenting voices and — by excluding people such as me from their country — manipulate political debate in America. Unfortunately, the U.S. government’s paranoia has evolved far beyond a fear of particular individuals and taken on a much more insidious form: the fear of ideas.
In January 2004, I was offered a job at the University of Notre Dame, as a professor of Islamic studies and as Luce professor of religion, conflict and peace-building. I accepted the tenured position enthusiastically and looked forward to joining the academic community in the United States. After the government granted me a work visa, I rented a home in South Bend, Ind., enrolled my children in school there and shipped all of my household belongings. Then, in July, the government notified me that my visa had been revoked. It did not offer a specific explanation, but pointed to a provision of the Patriot Act that applies to people who have “endorsed or espoused” terrorist activity.
And, before 2004, I had visited the United States frequently to lecture, attend conferences and meet with other scholars. I had been an invited speaker at conferences or lectures sponsored by Harvard University, Stanford, Princeton and the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Foundation. None of these institutions seemed to consider me a threat to national security.
Finally, in January, the American Civil Liberties Union, the American Academy of Religion, the American Association of University Professors and PEN American Center filed a lawsuit on my behalf, challenging the government’s actions.
On Sept. 21, the long-awaited explanation arrived. The letter from the U.S. Embassy informed me that my visa application had been denied, and it put an end to the rumors that had circulated since my original visa was revoked. The department cited my donation of $940 to two humanitarian organizations (a French group and its Swiss chapter) serving the Palestinian people.
In its letter, the U.S. Embassy claims that I “reasonably should have known” that the charities in question provided money to Hamas. But my donations were made between December 1998 and July 2002, and the United States did not blacklist the charities until 2003.

Wild Thing’s comment…..
Tariq Ramadan I don’t give a rats butt how you think you should be allowed in this country. Your purpose in life is NO good, your agenda stinks and is meant to do harm to my country. You want to come here, eat here, sleep here, breath our air here and then spew your disproval for how we defend ourselves, our country and our Fredom.
You do not have a right to come here, and the ones who are here should be sent home. I cannot believe how you Muslims whine when held accountable. This tells me we are doing something right.
What the hell kind of person goes to another land and does what YOU want to do. You are NUTS and evil! I pray I never ever hear you made it back into our country! We have enough traitors and those committing treason here already. We are on overload as it is! Burn in hell Tariq Ramadan!
Now where is my little violin with the sad gypsy sheet music?
And look at this……very interesting info from Daniel Pipes
* He has praised the brutal Islamist policies of the Sudanese politician Hassan Al-Turabi. Mr. Turabi in turn called Mr. Ramadan the “future of Islam.”
* Mr. Ramadan was banned from entering France in 1996 on suspicion of having links with an Algerian Islamist who had recently initiated a terrorist campaign in Paris.
* Ahmed Brahim, an Algerian indicted for Al-Qaeda activities, had “routine contacts” with Mr. Ramadan, according to a Spanish judge (Baltasar Garzón) in 1999.
* Djamel Beghal, leader of a group accused of planning to attack the American embassy in Paris, stated in his 2001 trial that he had studied with Mr. Ramadan.
* Along with nearly all Islamists, Mr. Ramadan has denied that there is “any certain proof” that Bin Laden was behind 9/11.
* He publicly refers to the Islamist atrocities of 9/11, Bali, and Madrid as “interventions,” minimizing them to the point of near-endorsement.
And here are other reasons, dug up by Jean-Charles Brisard, a former French intelligence officer doing work for some of the 9/11 families, as reported in Le Parisien:
* Intelligence agencies suspect that Mr. Ramadan (along with his brother Hani) coordinated a meeting at the Hôtel Penta in Geneva for Ayman al-Zawahiri, deputy head of Al-Qaeda, and Omar Abdel Rahman, the blind sheikh, now in a Minnesota prison.
* Mr. Ramadan’s address appears in a register of Al Taqwa Bank, an organization the State Department accuses of supporting Islamist terrorism.”
From looking around the web, I would say that this Mr. Ramadan is not telling the entire truth about his terrorist associations. I certainly don’t think he has any reason to be running around these United States; certainly his “scholarship” is not any reason to allow him here.

Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 17, 2006 – Jean-Charles Brisard of The Terror Finance Blog (http://terrorfinance.org) has exposed new evidence that Tariq Ramadan has links to terrorist entities and has endorsed terror activities in his writings and statements. Some of Ramadan’s associates have been convicted of direct involvement in terror plots or have made statements directly in support of al Qaeda-affliated groups engaged in attacks on U.S. targets. This information provides the U.S. sufficient evidence to deny Ramadan a U.S. visa.

VERY informative in the rest of the a PRWEB article as well.
