Gay Keith Not A Brigadier General

It seems that Gay Keith, the Clinton plant, was not a Brigadier General and served only in the reserves.

I ( by David Horowitz ) received this note from retired Brigadier General William Becker:

“IN SPITE OF MY CURRENT DISTRACTIONS AT HOME I AM FORCED TO ENTER THE PUBLIC ARENA TO EXPRESS MY OUTRAGE AT THE CURRENT REPUBLICAN DEBATE AS MANAGED BY CNN. GAY KEITH IS NOT A BRIGADIER GENERAL. HE IS NOT EVEN AN ACTIVE DUTY RETIRED ARMY OFFICER. HE SPENT HIS YEARS AS A RESERVIST SOLELY IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA MILITARY BUREAUCRACY. HIS BIO IS PUBLISHED IN THE GAY ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO VOIDING THE “DON’T ASK DON’T TELL” POLICY.
FOR DETAILS. YOU MUST NOTE THAT KERR WAS RETIRED FROM THE INACTIVE ARMY RESERVES IN THE GRADE OF COLONEL. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A FEW YEARS SERVED ON ACTIVE DUTY AS A LIEUTENANT HIS ENTIRE SERVICE WAS IN THE RESERVES IN CALIFORNIA. HE WAS PLACED IN RETIRED RESERVE STATUS WITH THE CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD RESERVES AND PROMOTED TO BRIGADIER GENERAL IN THAT FEDERALLY UNRECOGNIZED STATUS.
THIS IS CONSIDERED AN “HONORARY” TITLE SIMILAR TO THE PHD AWARDED BY UNIVERSITIES AS HONORARIUM. WE WOULD NEVER REFER TO SUCH AWARDEES AS “DOCTOR”. IT IS ALSO NOTEWORTHY THAT HE WAS A GRADUATE OF UC BERKELEY AND SERVED AS AN INSTRUCTOR IN ACADEMIA. HE HAS NO COMBAT EXPERIENCE DURING HIS 43 YEARS OF “SERVICE” AND IT IS A DISGRACE FOR HIM TO BE ASSOCIATED BY THE MEDIA WITH THE ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY!!!!
THANKS FOR LISTENING TO THE VOICE OF WRATH OF THIS OLD MILITARY AVIATOR. BRIGADIER GENERAL BILL BECKER UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, RETIRED COMBAT VETERAN WWII, KOREA, VIETNAM.”

Wild Thing’s comment……..
General Kerr is a “California General” the way Colonel Sanders was a “Kentucky Colonel”.
This is how low the left will go, there is nothing they will not do, or say to push their agenda on the rest of us, on America and the world. They are dangerous to our country and this person Keith is a good example of how little conscience they have.

….Thank you so much Mark for this information and link.

What a disgrace to all Californians, except the left-wingbats at Commie Cal Berkeley! NOT a Brigadier General either? Hillary and her nutwork, CNN, ought to be proud of this dispicable charade. Colonel Kerr and Colonel Sanders (KFC) = Finger licking good…? Sorry WT, didn’t mean to make everyone sick this early in the morning! PS: Colonel Kerr digs REAR ADMIRALS!!

From Wikepedia
The California State Military Reserve is the state defense force of California. The military reserve was formed to provide California a trained and organized military force in the event of a state security emergency when the National Guard is deployed.
The California State Military Reserve is authorized as a state defense force under the provisions of the Title 32, United States Code, Section 109 and the California State Military Reserve Act (codified in the California Military and Veteran’s Code).
The force is made up by volunteers who possess a variety of skills, and many members are veterans of other branches of the United States Military headquartered in Sacramento, CA. All citizens who are not felons and possess a high school diploma are eligible though military veterans and those with special skills are preferred.
You don’t need to have military experience to become part of the CSMR. In essence, they could take a guy off the street, say an engineer, and make him a Bird Colonel. It sounds like it’s basically a Militia in more of the pure sense in that it’s run by the state but isn’t actually a military force like the National Guard.
Kerr did retire as a Colonel from the Army Reserve, just like Murtha retired as a Colonel form the Marine Corps Reserve. Many active duty military officers, except for Academy graduates, hold Reserve Commissions but by time they reach 0-4 they usually have regular commissions.
From reading his Bio, he was involved with the Intelligence world. If I remember correctly, he would have had to sign statements about drug use, homosexual activity, foreign contacts, etc. If he was “gay” during that time, he falsified his statements.

Bob is absolutely correct, on a cruise to the Med. the watch found two sailors in one of the 40 mm gun mounts. They were tossed into the Brig and discharged when we got to Rota, Spain about two days later. The Navy never tolerated that kind of non-sense.

Jack says:

Geez, never in all my time in the service did I encounter or know of one inside the organization, it was simply intolerated, especially in my unit, members of which put a bounty on one overbearing miserable ratbastard NCO that the CO wisely separated from the company as we offloaded from the C141 and loaded on the bus in Danang, before our weapons were reissued, he didn’t like that guy either. A homo in my unit would have been ‘accidentally’ killed. My only serious encounter with one got me arrested in Frisco, put on a Greyhound Bus to Ft. Irwin by the police with a police admonition to the bus driver ‘don’t let that SOB off until you get there’, all I did was a public service by mopping the bar’s mensroom and urinal with one of California’s limp wristed lover boy’s, I didn’t know they were a protected specie in California at the time.
I’m puzzled as to why the lefties all seem to self aggrandize their rank and/or accomplishments, often to superman elevations. Like making a silk purse from a sow’s ear, the media takes their cue from the left, inflates the hype and bingo we have the larger than life PT109 skipper being a hero for being asleep on duty or bingo Lynden Johnson’s Silver Star, for The Mission That Never Was, or Bingo the narcissist who has fallen in love with the phony image of himself, that secret agent swiftboat hero with the super secret DD214 with his ultra sensitive solo missions into Cambodia, the one who wrote hisself up for a Silver Star, Bronze Star and his three Purple Heart medals. Now we have that queer Colonel Kerr of California being held out by the media as a Brigadier General. Come on Colonol Sanders, give me a break. How about the truth!!!!
Medals Or Inflated Rank Do Not Make A Man.

You can see why Hollyweird and liberals go together so well. Play acting, exaggerating, make believe, scrip reading.

BobF says:

Jack, I often wondered that too? How can you make a hero of a guy who’s in command of the “Hot Rod” of military service vessles, a PT Boat, and gets run over by a destroyer in the middle of the ocean”?
But then, we have a strange way of making the wrong people hero’s. An Air Force pilot gets his F-16, the hottest fighter flying, shot down over Bosnia, evades capture, gets rescued, and he’s a national hero. I think the hero is his wingman that managed to keep his multi-million jet fighter from being shot down. We don’t even know who he is but we all know Scott O’Grady.

Wild Thing says:

drstrangeloveb52isok, I agree, he is a disgrace! LIke you said Berkeley probably thinks he is fantastic. YUK!

Wild Thing says:

Bob thank you for the information.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, thanks and Nick was telling me stuff about this too from when he was in the Navy. He said the same kind of thing, it was not tolerated at all.

Wild Thing says:

Tom……”You can see why Hollyweird and liberals go together so well. Play acting, exaggerating, make believe, scrip reading.”…..your so right. It is like they lose their reality and actually even believe their BS.

Ed Wheeler says:

“BG” Gay Keith is a pathetic example of a Reserve Colonel who resented not being promoted to brigadier and whom upon retiring from the U.S. Army Reserve, arranged to have himself promoted to what amounts to an honorary position within a state militia structure by a Governor, so that he could satiate his own bruised ego and refer to himself as a “BG.”
I’ve actually known of another example like this several years ago. The individual concerned was a retired Major in the USAR and a high roller contributor to a state Governor in his initial election. Upon being promoted to BG in the “state militia,” he immediately bought himself a General Officer’s uniform and paraded himself in dress blues several times at an officers club on a military base in his state. When it was discovered he had no federal recognition, he was escorted off the post by MPs.
That’s the last I heard of him.
As far as this guy goes, he has a screw loose and is an egocentric disgrace to the armed forces.
Unfortunately, CNN has so few personnel (if any) who really know enough about the armed forces … either through personal experience by actually serving their country in uniform, or even studying the subject … that any good reporter would have checked the retired General Officers roster at DA to see that he was whom he said he was.
I know such a reference is available, because I’m in it.
