Mike Huckabee said that he would not be joining the race for 2012. After deep personal reflection over the past few months, he recently realized “All the factors say go, but my heart says no.”
He said that his original concerns about raising the necessary funds to be competitive or being able to win in states outside the South were answered when signs of strong financial support materialized and polls showed him winning in states like Pennsylvania, Maine and New Jersey.
This decision was spiritual, not political for him and he sought clarity from Jesus Christ in order to make it. In the end, Huckabee said, “My answer is clear and firm. I will not seek the Republican nomination for president this year.”

Wild Thing’s comment……..
If you’re a Republican, this is the year to run. Either we win this time, or it doesn’t very much matter what happens in the future. We have to get obamacare repealed. And it is NOT an election for wimps, we need strong, take no prisoner attitude imo, someone that will speak up about what obama really is to the public and not mince words about it.
I am not interested in a man that sat on a bench with Pelosi and said what Newt did about Global warming.
I am not interested in a man that has had his own version of obamacare in his home state ala Mitt Romney.
This is all so scary, because this election will save our country or throw it the rest of the way to the hungry socialist Marxist enemy within.
So far, I like Herman Cain. He’s a successful businessman and knows what it takes to get this country back on track economically. Also, he’s not a politician like the rest of them.
We will be much better off without the likes of Huckabee.
There is still some time here and I think that the field has not really been sorted out yet.
My only hope is that the Republican don’t start promoting and backing a Mitt Romney campaign.
The press is right, to a certain degree, the Republican Party is splintered. The RINOs have held sway for too long and are firmly intrenched. Hopefully they will open their eyes and ears and allow the voices of the Tea Partiers and other “True Conservative”, to have some say in the decision making.
What the voters need to realize is that the Congressional candidates are just as important.
We really do need to keep control of the House and regain control of the Senate.

No RINOs! Viv la differance!

Well there is always Ron Paul, the munchin from hell. I can’t stand anybody with two first names. And Newt’s beginning to pick up steam too. So should be interesting. Huckleberry is out and thats good the guy was a disaster. We can thank Glenn Beck for that he clobbered him one night and that put the Kybosh on the husksters plans. Now Mitch Daniels has said, He would choose Condalessa Rice as his VP. NOw he suppose to be a conservative, yet he picks a Pro-abortion running mate. They are all shooting themselves in the feet. and pretty soon there will be my two favorite Ladies left.
Thanks everyone so much for your input.
