Rep. Allen West talking about U.S. involvement in Libya. West said Obama waited to long to act in helping opposition rebel forces, allowing Gadhafi to seize the momentum. Having waited too long, West said there is now no clearly defined mission for what we are doing in Libya. Since Obama has said there will be no ground troops in Libya, it is unlikely Gadhafi will be forced from power any time soon. West said, “you are not going to protect civilians” or get rid og Gadhafi “from 30,000 ft. in the air.”
West does not favor use of ground troops in Libya, but doubts the current military action will be able to oust Gadhafi – meaning there is no clearly defined purpose for the action. West pointed out that if the purpose is to protect civilians, does that mean we will intervene in Yemen, Bahrain, etc.? He called what Obama has done “a dangerous precedent.”

TWO years ago, Barack Obama made this little dig on Bush during remarks to service members at the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida in October 2009.
“I Promise I will never rush the decision to send you in harms way.”
Obama fails to grasp the gravity of going to war.
Washington Examiner
“I am completely mystified,” says former top Bush aide Karl Rove, who supports the Libya intervention, “that this administration, of all administrations, makes a decision on a Tuesday night and does not bother to call anybody in Congress until Friday morning, 90 minutes before the policy is going to be executed, to tell them what is going to happen. Can you imagine what would have happened if we had tried to do that? We’d have been barbecued!”
There’s also the question of why Obama did not explain his decision to the public in a forum that conveyed the gravity of the situation. After ordering troops into action, the president headed off to South America with his wife, daughters, mother-in-law, and mother-in-law’s friend in tow. There was no solemn, reasoned speech to explain why the U.S. was going to war.

When Bush was president angry Obama in 2007: Americans ‘Have a Right to Know’ When We Debate and Engage in Major Foreign Policy Actions
SENATOR OBAMA: “But the fact of the matter is that when we don’t talk to the American people, we’re debating the most important foreign policy issues that we face, and the American people have a right to know. It is not just Washington insiders that — are part of the debate that has to take place with respect to how we’re going to shift our foreign policy. This is a seminal question.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Thank God for Allen West, I really love how he speaks up about obama and a lot of other things that need to be said.
I sure hope Allen West doesn’t become a politician.
Libya is SYRIAOUS?
The Axis of Weasels: Iran, Syria and Libya…
But only to be confronted in all out RULES of LETHAL ENGAGEMENT:
“Operation Crusaders Victory”
Congressman West has an outstanding ability to get to the point and express it articulately. What I would really like to know right now is how he is getting along with the other members of the Congressional Black Caucus.
The Rebel leader or the closest thing to one fought against America in Irag and recruited

Afghanistan.
