Court Tosses Emanuel Off Chicago Mayoral Ballot

(Bloomberg) — Rahm Emanuel, the former chief of staff for President Barack Obama, is to be “excluded” from the Chicago mayoral ballot after a state appeals court reversed a finding that he is a resident of the city. Bloomberg’s Lizzie O’Leary reports on Bloomberg Television’s “Fast Forward.”

The committee ruled that Emanuel could be on the ballot, and the lower court upheld that decision, The Appellate Court decision did not overturn the committee ruling, it overturned the lower court ruling. The effect is the same, but procedurally the case had to go through the circuit court before it reached the Appellate Court.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
bwahahahaha…. I sure hope this sticks. I am so sick of how the left has such a total double standard.
The Judges are going to need to have someone else start their cars.
To me the killer was when he stopped paying Illinois income taxes. If he had truly stayed a resident he would have paid the taxes, but he decided that he had officially moved to Washington in 2009.
How about Neil Abercrombie? He could testify he saw Rahm living in Chicago at “social events”. heh heh

Jack says:

Me too Chrissie, it would be poetic justice for that arrogant SOB. No, the party will buy off a judge instead and the people of Illinois will be fat dumb and happy again.

Wild Thing says:

Jack, like how you put that “poetic justice”…..so true.

Wild Thing, how about playing the 70’s rock song
“The Night Chicago Died” for me…. And I’m not referring to DA BEARS!

TomR says:

Hey, it’s Chicago. It ain’t over even after it’s over.

Government printing money and printing ballots marked with pre-selected Democrat candidate winners… it’s all for the good of the people. Federal slush money and rural Illinois outstate tax money is the only reason Chicago stays afloat.
