Kyiv mayor Vitaly Klitschko has called the conflict in Ukraine a ‘war against civilians,’ as he surveyed the damage from the latest attacks on Friday in the capital.
Speaking to broadcasters in an impromptu interview amongst the debris from shelling, the former boxer said that the Russian forces are not targeting ‘military bases’, but apartment buildings.
He also added that he feared the damage and destruction seen in other Ukrainian cities would be the fate of Kyiv.
