Rush: ‘For The First Time In My Life, I Am Ashamed Of My Country’
‘To have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way—It just makes me ashamed’
‘My days of being roped into this are over’ (First hour of the Rush Limbaugh program)
“Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in my life, I am ashamed of my country. To be watching all of this, to be treated like this, to have our common sense and intelligence insulted the way it’s being insulted? It just makes me ashamed. Seriously, man. Here we get worked up over $44 billion. That’s the total amount of money that will not be spent that was scheduled to be spent this year. In truth, we’re gonna spend more this year than we spent last year.”

Wild Thing’s comment.………….
Well said Rush and I agree.

Willy says:

…sad but true. Thanks to my dad I began reading the newspaper and paying attention to current events at the age of 10. At age 12 I built a simple shortwave radio and began to listen to the foreign broadcasts so I know what propaganda sounds like. I loved history and civics in school and understood why we were the greatest country in the world . We were not perfect but we were trying to address our problems. Our greatest fear was aggression from the Communists. Today many of us feel insecure because we have a foreign policy based on denial. We have a zombie economy based on debt that produces little of substance because regulators have made it too much of a hassle. We have government officials who tell us the most preposterous lies each day. So-called “liberal education” has caused ignorance and apathy to run rampant. Political correctness has turned our society into a theatre of the absurd and pop culture reigns supreme. I am still proud of our history and our heritage but I am not proud of what we have become over the past 20 years. Since Clinton and especially over the past six years since the Progressives took over Congress we have become the kind of country that no reasonable person would have been proud of 50 years ago.
