First Responders Not Invited To 9/11 Anniversary Ceremony

First Responders Not Invited To 9/11 Anniversary Ceremony
First responders who were called to the World Trade Center site in the days and weeks following 9/11 will be on the outside looking in at next month’s anniversary ceremony.
Organizers say police officers, firefighters and rescue workers will not be invited to take part in the primary 10th anniversary ceremony activities.
Instead, they will be asked back at the site another day for a separate ceremony.
Officials cite security and a lack of room as the reasoning behind the decision.
In addition to President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush, thousands of family members will also be on hand.
It’s estimated as many as 91,000 people took part in the initial search and rescue at the World Trader Center site.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Any one who survived should attend, anyone who risked there lives should be able to attend. It’s not right.

Roger Hall says:

Can’t believe this. Very Disgusting. There excuse of security & not enough room is an absolute lie. What are they afraid of?

Avitar says:

It is a small area made much smaller by the on going construction activity. This reflects the lack of planning talent in New York and this Whitehouse. A wreath laying on site followed by a commemoration at one of New York’s largest stadiums would have filled the bill.
Still thank you god that Obama’s people can not organize a large public event. It makes four more years so much less likely.

BobF says:

With 91,000 people, you have to draw the line somewhere and everyone wants to be at ground zero. I would think they would have the first responders who were actually there on 9/11 when the buildings came down.

TomR, armed in Texas says:

Too bad the anniversary ceremony is not being celebrated at brand new 110 story twin towers. Bush dropped the ball on this.
A crescent shaped monument pointing towards mecca at the crash site in Penn. WTF. America has not had presidential leadership since reagan left office.

latitude38 says:

this is indeed a travesty of justice . i am shocked that the those were the first responders were not invited

Mark says:

This is obama. Screw the country.

Wild Thing says:

Thank you so much all of you.
