Senator Marco Rubio:”We don’t need new taxes. We need new taxpayers, people that are gainfully employed” ~ Marco Is Great!

“We don’t need new taxes. We need new taxpayers, people that are gainfully employed, making money and paying into the tax system. Then we need a government that has the discipline to take that additional revenue and use it to pay down the debt and never grow it again,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on the Senate floor.

Here’s the actual clip from Rubio in full, queued at 5:32 to start where he begins to give this speech which ends at the 11:00 mark:

Rush says that Republican leadership is talking about loop holes and revenues when they should be urging the President to live within a Congressional budget by not raising the debt limit and asking the President to make the needed cuts as painless as possible. But then he plays a clip by Marco Rubio which to date must be his best moment in the Senate. Rubio quickly gets to the root of the problem by saying that the real problem is jobs and that by fixing that problem we begin to fix everything else including debt and revenues. He adds that if the President wants to raise revenues, Republicans agree and they should move to help create an environment where people will create jobs. That’s how you solve the problem and that’s how you frame the argument.

Wild Thing’s comment……
Marco has been doing such a good job. Being one of the many freshman in D.C. He is stood out and thank God for Marco and Allen West for talking a stand when they could just sit back and take it all in being freshmen they are not letting any of that intimidate them. They went to D.C. to speak for we the people and I am grateful!

BobF says:

He sure hit the nail right on the head. His speech is something Obama can’t comprehend.

Sean says:

Great to see elected representative actually carry out the wishes of those that put them in office, rather than pandering to some special interest.

Wild Thing says:

Bob, your right, Obama will never understand this kind of speech or love of country.

Wild Thing says:

Sean, I agree so much. There are others like Rubio I just dont’ know each one, but it sure does feel good and hopeful too.
