Paul Ryan Closing Statement FY2012 Budget Resolution
The US House passed the Ryan Amendment today by a 235-193 vote.
International Business Times
The US House of Representatives has passed a budget plan for 2012 which seeks to reduce $6.2 trillion in spending by the government over the next decade.
Fiscal 2012 begins on October 1.
The bill passed the Republican-controlled House by 235-193 vote (only four Republicans failed to approve it; and not one Democrat passed it, according to Reuters).
Proposed by Republican Congressman Paul Ryan, the scheme would cut spending on social programs for the poor, for healthcare and would require the elderly to increase their healthcare cost burden.
Wild Thing’s comment…….
As he speaks you can hear boo’s ( from the progressives) but….you can also hear cheers.
Hopefully this bill will derail a lot of obama’s and the Dem’s massive spending programs.
I wonder what happened to the so called Blue Dog Dems on this vote. Hopefully, in the 2012 elections, these phony conservative Dems will be defeated along with four Republicans.
Not one Democrat voted for Ryan’s Budget Resolution, not one! Even knowing that they were backstopped by Harry Reid’s Socialist Senate and Obama Veto they all showed their hatred of the little guy by slapping down Paul Ryan’s life preserver to America.
There is no blue dog Democrat left, not one.
It’s too bad the government doesn’t send out a (truthful) summary of government spending and revenues and projections for the future. Like the social security statement we get every year.
This too, would become a political football. But it might wake up the massive members of our citizenry who are oblivious.
