On March 22, 2011, Democrat Sen. Frank Lautenberg speaking at a Planned Parenthood event in New Jersey where he railed, stood with, and was applauded by, Planned Parenthood supporters and state lawmakers against Republicans and Tea Party supporters, actually saying:
“The Republicans in Congress claim they’re concerned about the budget balance, but it’s a disguise! It’s not true! It’s a lie! That’s not what they want. They want — they want other people not to be able to have their own opinions. They don’t deserve the freedoms that are in the Constitution! But we’ll give it to them anyway.”

Lautenberg doesn’t believe in the foundational philosophy of America – that all men were endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights and it is to secure these rights that governments are instituted among men.
