House Cuts Off Funding For Obamacare & Planned Parenthood ~ HUGE Thank you!!

House cuts off funding for healthcare reform, Planned Parenthood
The Hill
House on Friday voted largely along party lines to prohibit funding for President Obama’s healthcare reform law and eliminate funding for family planning.
In a quick succession of two-minute votes, the House adopted three amendments to their stopgap budget bill that eliminates healthcare reform funding through the end of the fiscal year. The House also approved, 240-185, an amendment barring federal Title X family planning grants that was aimed squarely at Planned Parenthood.
The vote on the Planned Parenthood amendment from Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) was postponed Thursday night after three hours of bitter debate during which Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) revealed she once had to have an abortion. She made the revelation on the House floor after Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) described in graphic detail an abortion procedure.

“I really planned to speak about something else but the gentleman from New Jersey just put my stomach in knots because I’m one of those women he spoke about just now,” Speier said. “I had a procedure at 17 weeks pregnant with a child who moved from the vagina into the cervix. And that procedure that you just described is a procedure that I endured.”

The other three amendments bar federal funding for the healthcare reform law:
an amendment from health appropriations subcommittee Chair Denny Rehberg (R-Mont.) blocks 2011 funding for the health and labor departments to implement the healthcare reform law;
an amendment from Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) blocks all federal funding for the law; and
an amendment from Rep. Jo Ann Emerson (R-Mo.) bars the Internal Revenue Service from using funds to enforce the law’s individual mandate requiring Americans to have insurance by 2014. Two federal courts have ruled that the mandate is unconstitutional.
The continuing resolution faces high hurdles in the Democrat-controlled Senate. And President Obama announced he “strongly opposes” it before the new amendments even passed.

“If the president is presented with a bill that undermines critical priorities or national security through funding levels or restrictions, contains earmarks, or curtails the drivers of long-term economic growth and job creation while continuing to burden future generations with deficits, the president will veto the bill,” the administration said this week.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
Hallelujah
Let us all remember this wonderful day and realize that this GOP House is doing what they promised if elected.
The way I understand it is, according to the Constitution, all bills to spend money must originate in the House. The President can propose any spending he wants to, but that’s just for show until the House puts said spending into a bill and send it over to the Senate. Then, if they approve it, the President must sign it for the bill to become law and to actually get the money spent.
So, in this case if the House doesn’t put the spending into the budget bill, then the money can’t get spent. The Senate and the President can stand on their heads, and it will do no more good than King Cannute getting ticked off about the tide rolling in.
The key here, now that these funds have been stripped out of the bill, is strictly and solely that the House Republicans have to stick to their guns, stay strong and not give in no matter what.
This is very heartening news.
THIS, my FRiends………is a GOOD day for America!

Mark says:

In the Declaration of Independence it clearly says, we have certain unalienable Rights to Life, Liberty and the purusit of happiness. We meaning the people. Through the courts and other government machinations that right has been stripped from the most vulnerable in our society. The newborn and the not yet born, their Right to life has been put on a maybe basis. With Roe v. Wade the Government has been discriminating against the unborn by taking their Right to life away. If this group was any other minority the dems would be screaming for their rights, in a ‘show’ of phony support for that minority.
Hillary Clinton said she was in Awe over Margaret Sanger, whose, main agenda was the extermination of Black people, that part of the agenda is NEVER mentioned. These minorities should ask them selves why all these Abortion Clinics are either in or very accessible to the Black community.
Early on they had talked about weeding out the weak stock in society, Teddy Roosevelt talked about, not breeding cows or people of lesser quality to breed the very best, Oliver Wendell Holmes talked from the Supreme Court that 3 generations of Imbiciles was enough and their parents should be sterilized, then there was the witch Margaret Sanger. She had her, Negro project. This is where it started. Abortion is just one means to the end of total control of the People, who they, do not want us to bequeath another generation of misfits.

Mark, thank you so much, that was great.
