Pence introduces anti-abortion bill ahead of conservative gathering
CNN
Rep. Mike Pence, the Indiana congressman who is considering a presidential bid, introduced an anti-abortion bill Friday that is certain to be greeted fondly by many Republicans ahead of his attendance at a conservative gathering in South Carolina this weekend.
The measure, which has 122 cosponsors and is called the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act, seeks to ban federal funding to organizations that perform abortions.
A version of the measure was first introduced two years ago.
“It is morally wrong to end an unborn human life by abortion,” Pence said in a statement. “It is also morally wrong to take the taxpayer dollars of millions of pro-life Americans and use them to promote abortion at home or abroad.”
Pence added the bill “will ensure that abortion providers are not being subsidized with federal tax dollars.”

Wild Thing’s comment…….
Good for Mike Pence!!!! Thank you sir!
NO taxpayer money should EVER be used to fund the Sanger/Hitler Abortion policies.
Mike Pence is also the person that led the way on trying to get Obama and the left to drill for oil domestically.
IMO abortion should never be paid for with our tax dollars. That is also one of the things I so hate about Obamacare and his strong agenda toward abortion.
This is our man.
I’m a big fan of Mike Pense from Eastern Indiana. As I wrote here last year:
Mike Pence is a true conservative, holds very well to principle with a solid record that will not compromise, and speaks lucid with complete candor and sincerity.
At this critical time in 2011, the Republican Party needs to present to the American people a clear, distinct and solidly conservative alternative.
Time and again, Pense best describes what and how the American people voted for last November with a mandate that is clearly against the current leadership and what has happened these past two years while at the same time presenting a clear and concise alternative. This is the best narrative for America’s future and for victory.
Pense of Indiana and Rubio of Florida would be the best winning ticket for November 2012.
Today in January 2011, Mike Pense of Indiana is the man.
Yes, Mike Pence is a strong conservative. He has certainly taken hits from the media for his conservative stances.
Abortion is not a function for the govt. to support or fund. It is a moral question that should be left up to the individuals involved. To me it is murder and I don’t want my taxdollars used to fund it.
It is fantastic how the strong conservative voices are all working in tandem with each other. I love it!!
We got the talent out there just recognising it. On Fox yesterday Bill Crystal recommended Palu Ryan/Marco Rubio for 2012, I think you could also include Mike Pence, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman too.
Thank you everyone soooo much for your input. I too like Mike Pence. I have been kind of watching what he does for awhile now. And each time he stands strong on issues and things for our country.
I know Pence’s Chief of Staff quite well. Because of his character, Mike Pence is the only congressman I fully trust and will support unequivocally. I applaud Pence for this courageous bill introduction.
