Wild Thing’s comment…….
It makes me feel good to see a President that respects our troops and is sincere about it. What a huge difference in that and what our troops are stuck with right now.
I thought you might like to see these photos from yesterday. How neat it is that George andn Laura surprised the troops coming home, I love it.

The Bush’s also make that surprised, unannounced visit to Fort Hood to see the shooting victims of that Islamic terrorist.

Mark says:

There is a bond there that onbama can break. G.W. geniune loves the troops and proves it. The best one though was the 2005 Thanksgiving trip to Bagdad The was a hoot.

TomR, armed in Texas says:

I think Bush was weak on a lot of issues, but he certainly was the man on patriotism, love of the troops and the dignity of the office.

Robert says:

These soldiers are coming home for R&R and will return in two weeks. When I came home on my R&R 6 years ago to the day there was a crowd of local people cheering us as we got off the plane. Pretty awesome when you consider we landed at 3AM.

Jim says:

Showing Obama what ‘class’ looks like.

Dennis says:

God bless W. It is nice to see a President who loves and respects our military. You can tell that he genuinely cares about them. He is a good man.

Carlos says:

Yes, you’re right about bringing us these pictures.
George and Laura Bush are American decency personified.
I look forward to his book coming out soon.
Good post. Thank you.

BobF says:

When it comes to the troops, GW is like Ronald Reagan. Both Reagan and GW Bush had the utmost respect and love for the troops.
