David Madeira for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District

I really like what he says:…this is from his website…………

The challenges that face America are not unprecedented, but they are serious. The lack of responsiveness from our elected leaders has convinced me that we need to come together to return the reigns of power in America to their rightful owners, We The People.

Last summer I spoke at Tea Party rallies and saw my friends and neighbors express their frustration with the rush to government control of just about every aspect of our lives. Washington’s Wall Street Bailouts and Big Business Takeovers have left us with double digit unemployment, declining wages and unfathomable debt.

The American people don’t want to be governed by Democrats or Republicans, they want to govern themselves according to the Constitution and they want their elected representatives to do just that – represent them.

I’m determined, with your help and support, to take up the challenge to restore the Constitutional Representative Republic we were given by the incredible sacrifice and wisdom of our Founding Fathers. I’m running for Congress to represent the ideals of Faith, Family and Freedom that we all hold dear.

Tristate Sons of Liberty Announce Pennsylvania Congresional District 10 Endorsement

“Tristate Sons of Liberty is an alliance of like-minded patriots committed to restoring, upholding and defending American values, virtues, principles and ideals as outlined by the Constitution of the United States. Members of the Sons of Liberty actively advance this ideology through political action, financial, educational and emotional support. We are an organization sworn to uphold the traditions and vision of America’s Founding Fathers inasmuch as we deem to effect political candidates for office, form lobbying efforts, promote public demonstrations and speak out against all those who wish to denigrate our beloved country. We stand firmly on the Constitutional precepts that serve as the foundation of a free and prosperous people, regardless of race, religion or gender.”

On Issues:
Health Care – Defeat. Defund. REPEAL! I reject any notion of government-run health care. More government intervention will only exasperate the problems of access and affordability. Private ownership and individual choice are the keys to real health care finance reform.
We the People – The Founding Fathers knew that the power for self-governance comes from our Creator and is lent to the government by the people through the electoral process. For far to long we have turned that power over to elected officials without holding them accountable for how they use it. That is about to change.
The Constitution …defines the limits of the federal government’s power and protects our God-given rights. The original intent of the authors will guide my application of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights as I seek to roll back the encroachment of government on our liberties.
The Second Amendment … is not about hunting, it’s about self-defense and liberty. I support an individual’s right to own guns. I oppose national gun registration or other attempts at federal licensing of law abiding gun owners as a violation of the Second Amendment and an invasion of the privacy of honest citizens.
Private Property – I support the right of our citizens to own private property as protected by the Takings Clause of the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.
Immigration – I support measures to ensure that the immigration system is structured to address the needs of national security. I will work for real border security including a technologically-supported physical fence and oppose any amnesty for illegal immigrants.
Lawsuit abuse reform – I support legal reform to eliminate frivolous lawsuits. “Loser Pays” provisions will protect access to courts by those legitimately harmed while providing the proper incentives to reduce unnecessary lawsuits.
National Security – I oppose Miranda rights and civilian trials for terrorists. Our military and intelligence agents should treat terrorists as unlawful combatants and be able to interrogate and prosecute in Guantanamo or other appropriate military facilities without fear if they follow the time-tested rules of our military system of Justice.
The Tenth Amendment … It doesn’t really need explanation, just application. “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

Wild Thing’s comment……..
I like these quotes he has at his campaign website:

““In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.” Thomas Jefferson

“The federal government has taken too much tax money from the people, too much authority from the states, and too much liberty with the Constitution.” Ronald Reagan

TomR says:

Let’s hope that Madeira and a whole lot of other candidates like him get elected to Congress. We The People need our goverment back.

Bob A says:

I agree TomR,
Chris Gibson, recently retired Army Lt. Colonel for District 20 NY. I have been posting his campaign updates on all of my sites as I am a resident of the district. Early in his campaign his Republican opponents bowed out and endorsed him. Let’s hope he runs over Dem. Scott Murphy the same way.

Mark says:

We will do our best to get David Madeira elected in 15 days, that’s the primary. I talked to him on the phone, I emailed him some responses I got from Carney(Dumbass-Pa-10) hopfully he can use some of it in response to any future debate.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, I agree so much. There are some really fine people running, I pray the good ones win.
BoB A., that is great. I am so glad you are doing that. I agree with you it is a good idea to get the word out.
Mark, that is fantastic I am so glad. He seems like someone that listens too.
