Scott Brown, his wife and their two daughters after the WIN!

Senator Scott Brown:
And as a Boston College basketball player you know she’s pretty good on the court. And, the reason I bring that up is because when I spoke to the president tonight, I asked the president because he has a couple of basketball courts there. When I spoke to the president the first thing I said was would you like me to drive the truck down to Washington so you could see it? …And, then I said Mr. President I know you like basketball so I tell you what, why don’t you pick your best player and I’ll take Ayla and we’ll take you on in two on two.

From Sarah Palin : Mr. Brown Goes to Washington… In a Pick-up Truck, No Less!
Congratulations to the new Senator-elect from Massachusetts! Scott Brown’s victory proves that the desire for real solutions transcends notions of “blue state” and “red state”. Americans agree that we need to hold our politicians accountable and bring common sense to D.C.
Recent elections have taught us that when a party in power loses its way, the American people will hold them accountable at the ballot box. Today under the Democrats, government spending is up nearly 23 percent and unemployment is higher than it’s been in a quarter of a century. For the past year they’ve built a record of broken promises, fat cat bailouts, closed-door meetings with lobbyists, sweetheart deals for corporate cronies, and midnight votes on weekends for major legislation that wasn’t even read. The good citizens of Massachusetts reminded Democrats not to take them for granted.
Americans cheered for Scott Brown’s underdog campaign because they viewed his candidacy as a vote against the Democrats’ health care bill. You know that there’s something wrong with this legislation when opposition to it inspired a Republican victory in a state that currently has no Republicans in Congress and last sent a Republican to the Senate nearly 40 years ago.
Clearly this victory is a bellwether for the big election night ten months from now. In the spirit of bipartisanship, let me offer some advice to the Democrats on how to stem this populist tide. Scrap your current health care bill and start from scratch. We all want true reform, but government mandated insurance is not it. Scott Brown campaigned against this top-down bureaucratic mess. We need common sense solutions like reforming malpractice laws, allowing people to purchase insurance across state lines, giving individual purchasers the same tax benefits as those who get coverage through their employers, and letting small businesses pool together to provide insurance for their employees. Focus your efforts on jobs, not on job-killing legislation. Such a change in approach would show Americans that you’re listening.
My best wishes to Senator-Elect Brown. When you go to Washington, may you never forget the ordinary citizens you met while driving that truck through the great Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Barney Frank (D-MA) released this statement following Brown’s win.
“I have two reactions to the election in Massachusetts. One, I am disappointed. Two, I feel strongly that the Democratic majority in Congress must respect the process and make no effort to bypass the electoral results.
If Martha Coakley had won, I believe we could have worked out a reasonable compromise between the House and Senate health care bills. But since Scott Brown has won and the Republicans now have 41 votes in the Senate, that approach is no longer appropriate.
I am hopeful that some Republican senators will be willing to discuss a revised version of health care reform because I do not think that the country would be well served by the healthcare status quo.
But our respect for democratic procedures must rule out any effort to pass a health care bill as if the Massachusetts election had not happened.
Going forward, I hope there will be a serious effort to change the Senate rule which means that 59 votes are not enough to pass major legislation, but those are the rules by which the health care bill was considered, and it would be wrong to change them in the middle of this process.”

Wild Thing’s comment…….
“I am hopeful that some Republican senators will be willing to discuss a revised version of health care reform because I do not think that the country would be well served by the healthcare status quo.”
So now he needs Republicans to come to the table on health control? I don’t think so Barney.
He acts like closed door politics never happened and suddenly he got some soul. Go to hell Barney.
Barney Frank is going in to a panicked CYA mode!! Watch the roaches scurry for cover, now.
THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN!!! Barney will face voters from the same pool that voted against Obama’s agenda. And Croakley was the bag tossed in Boston Harbor!!
While listening to Scott’s acceptance speech and the crowd is chanting, 41, 41, 41… people’s seat, people’s seat… seat him now, seat him now, seat him now.
The Second American Revolution Has Started!
Americans are not born to be slaves to an all-powerful government that makes your every decision. We threw those shackles off starting in Boston, Normandy and Iwo Jima and are about to do it again. This will be a nuclear detonation that will show the world these Tea Patriots are a force that can no longer be ignored. We are on the march for Lady Liberty exposing communist oppression in every corner of this land. Americans need their freedom and are tired of the Stalinist tactics that they have been exposed to in every facet of their lives.
Why should we be running from our beliefs when they are based on giving everybody as much freedom as possible. We are the Minutemen fighting the Redcoats in one of the great battles of America’s history. There is no surrender in this one ’cause it’s to the death of either the DNC or America. Once we capture one hill we have to capture the next for the rest of our lives.
We are fighting in the fields of the Internet and Town halls. We are fighting it with words and ideas against the liberal establishment that has beaten us back for decades. We have the founders bracing our backs as we take on modern oppressive Redcoats like Global Warming, Death Care, Taxes, Racism, Energy, Abortion and every other issue that they have used as weapons against America. We must fight the lies by charging straight into them to withstand the volleys that will come our way. They will use their Stalinist thug tactics to try to divide and conquer by dehumanizing, yet this is too important, our legacy depends on it. We are Jefferson, Washington, Hamilton, Paine and Revere, this is the rebirth of our Republic to the founders original design. This ragtag group of Freedom Fighters has grown into an army becoming a movement. We are all Revolutionaries now.
The Liberty Tree was watered tonight and not with blood, but with our combined political will. God bless our founders and those brilliant men who wrote our Constitution. We all must protect it.
I though it was pretty funny when he informed the nation that his daughters are “available”.
He won handily. Martha (funny rhymes with Murtha) had no comeback on the “It’s the peoples seat.” and she said some pretty idiotic things. How did this woman ever get to be attorney general? But it’s the first win of many. And his wife and daughters are lovely. The dark haired Ayla was a finalist on American Idol even. Scott himself was an actor and singer in his younger days. Congrats to the Brown family. 2016-Brown/Palin.
“GAS up the TRUCK for Mr. Brown goes to Washington!”
In 2008 Hillary WON the Mass. Democratic Primary
and Obama did not. She was thrown under the bus by Obamanation and Teddy ‘Breaststroke’ Kennedy after his monarchy endorsed Dr. Zhicago instead of Hillary.
Result? Over 51% of the unregistered TEABAGGERS and pro-Clinton Democrats spoke yesterday at the voting booths… How sweet it is!
Happy NEW Year, especially on the Baracksheviks one year IMMACULATION… to the day!
Camelot has finally been declared dead. I trust Teddy is burning in hell as we celebrate.
I liked your take on this WT, very good.
“Baracksheviks” another word to add to the description of Obumble. Thanks Darth.
Strange what these things generate. Southers candidate for the TSA job has suddenly and with no explanation, why. Then the couple who stole into the white house for that party have taken the 5th Amendment during a house investigation.
Some very strange goings on.
Really enjoyed reading your ‘Second American Revolution’, comment. I believe that all of your observations are right on the money, as are those of Sarah Palin.
This victory is significant in so many ways. It is a tribute to the will of the people of this great nation, who will not tolerate being ignored and talked down to.
If I were Pelosi, Boxer and others, who feel that there positions are secure, due to the makeup of their constituencies, I would be mindful of this example.
Massachusetts has not elected a Republican to Congress or the Senate, for a long, long time. California and New York voters take note. It can and will be done, in 2010 and again in 2012.
This election is a great victory for those of us Americans who believe in The Constitution’s limits on govt. That it happened in Massachusetts is even more significant and surprising. The people who pay the taxes have spoken.
Let’s hope that Senator Brown does not turn out to be a RINO. He campaigned on consevative ideas and beliefs. It will be great if he turns out to be a Senator that conservatives all over America can rely on and be proud of. Let’s also hope that this is a harbinger of the 2010 and 2012 elections.
My thanks to the good folks of the East who have given us two Repub governors and a US Senator.
Baracksheviks. Niiiice!!! I can smell the rubber from Bwany Fwank punching the gas and burning out in reverse. The problem is, Bwany ‘buddy’, there is a stone wall, built through the HARD EARNED blood, seat , and tears of Americans, right behind you, and your gas tank is about to explode upon impact…………….
S/B:……. blood, SWEAT, and tears Of Americans……
For Mary Jo, she must be gloating from above. Thank you everyone for supporting Brown.
Sarah Palin is going on the campaign trail to support Michelle Bachmann, so sorry Michael Steele.
