God and Country …..Something Foreign to Obama and His Ilk!
Remember when Hollywood big-wigs had character and class? Remember when they loved our country?
This is a wonderful video from the Dean Martin show John Wayne talks about God and country.
Dean Martins son, Dean Paul Martin, was killed when his F4-C Phantom crashed on a training mission in California. Dean’s son was an ANG pilot just like GW Bush. Never forget how the Democrats tried to belittle those who served in the Guard
Those days were a lot like today. Some people were patriotic and others only had bad things to say about America.
I will disagree with BobF though. During Vietnam many men joined the Natl. Guard to escape Vietnam. Three of my high school friends did just that. LBJ promised he would not call up the Guard so it was a haven for “avoiders”. I know a few Guard units were activated, but only a few. I tried to join the Guard after I came home from RVN and they flat told me I had to know someone to get into that unit that had my MOS. Now days the Guard proudly serves on active duty deployments. They are deployed several times over and serve shoulder to shoulder with the regulars. A big difference in the Guard since the draft ended.

TomR, as far as I’m concerned “Love it or leave it” is still applicable. Merry Christmas buddy!
BobF., thanks I remember when that happened to
Dean Martin’s son. Dean was never able to get
over it.
Tom, I agree it was a lot like today.
