President Reagan delivered his first inaugural address on January 20, 1981.
Around the 10:00 spot President Reagan says “Those who say we are in a time where there are no heroes…”
You can see he is holding back tears.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Just for a moment in time, to be able to hear once again a real President with such a great love for America. He knew how America worked and what made it special. I thought you might like to hear this. It makes ones heart proud and that sure feels good.
….Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Chrissie- I loved Ronnie Reagan as President. The man stood for all that was decent & true in America. He stood for values that some see as antiquated & obsolete in this pitiless world we now live in. He is truely one of the few US Presidents that I genuinely miss.
This is my all time favorite photo of Reagan.

After living this nightmare for the past 7 months, hearing Ronald Reagans voice is like waking up in America. Where the President was proud of his country, and never, never apologize for her.
But today, we wait for something terrible to happen, are we going to be attacked today, what Rights will be taken away. Today there is no good news. It is no longer ‘Morning in America’, it is gloom and doom, and part of the country elected Captain doom to the White House.
Ronald Reagan was the best. He represented the heart and soul of the traditional America that grew to become the greatest country on earth. He defeated European communism with the value of his words and ideas. Reagan’s character brought us out of the Carter malaise. The World respected us, either through admiration or respect of our strength. Reagan believed in the value of individual effort over the power of government.
Let’s hope that we have another Reagan stirring in the wings to take us out of the nightmare we are in. Maybe Sarah Palin or Liz Cheney. Maybe John Bolton or one of the small number of real conservative Congresspeople. Maybe someone most of us don’t yet know.
Lynette in Australia, I LOVE that one
too. Gosh I miss him. GREAT photo, thank

Mark, I feel the same way. It breaks
