TomR says:

I think Al bundy is smarter than Al gore.

Lynn says:

Oh that’s a good one, Tom.
(to the tune of White Christmas)
I’m dreaming of a white easter,
just like the ones I never knew..
with this global warming
and Al Gore’s hot air
I’m shivering my butt off in the cold!
I’m dreaming of a white easter
with every easter egg I lose
may your days be chilly and brisk
and may your easter days be white!
HEE-HEE-HEE!
Al Gore is a moron.

Mark says:

According to Algore, he is allowed to use as much energy as he wishes because he buys ‘Carbon-Offsets’, meaning he is paying someone, somewhere to plant a tree(s) for him. Ergo, zero sum gain.
Sounds bogus to me, I am supposed to buy light bulbs at $7 a bulb and need a bunch of them, while he buring megawatts of electricity, without consequence. But I am saving the environment … because I can’t afford to buy ‘carbon-offsets’, … Hell, I can’t afford these stupid bulbs either.
I have done some looking into these CFLs and they are supposed to be the ‘catsass’, they put out as much light as an incandescent, where an incandescent is about 70% efficient, the rub here is the CFLs are actually less efficient than the old ‘Edison’ Bulbs about 59% efficient.
The CFLs have a power factor of .6 meaning they actually consume 48.6 (watts)/VA in order to generate a whopping 26 watts output. The real power, the stuff that does the actual work is 26 watts the rest is what is called ‘Imaginary power’ because it does no work, except for the fact, that this imaginary power must be there in order to get this bulb to work.
Now before CFLs residential power was mostly resistive, meaning no imaginary power, power factor of 1, now with these new fangled over, priced bulbs for home lighting the power factor has dropped to .6 This is good news for the customer because he, at the present time, is not charged for a PF but a flat rate for KWhr.
The trade off here is the power company must generate this imaginary power so these bulbs can work properly. This is costly for the Power company and it won’t be long before the Power company starts charging residential customers for using too much Imaginary power.
If these bulbs start selling, and Wal-Mart is pushing them, and people start buying them by the car load. Also, Wal-Mart has a projected sales figure of 400 million bulbs, this will be a real problem for the power companies.
The bottom line, as I see it, is lighting for a residence, now is about 8.8% of the total load for a home, they will reduce this lighting load 5% and create other problems with transmission lines being undersized, over heating problems.
All because Algore, is a complete nitwit, and wants to take the last rights of free choice away from the American people all for his pet project ‘Global Alarmisn’

Lynn says:

Didn’t his wife try to take away our freedoms by telling us what music our kids could listen to and watch on tv?
That’s my job, not hers!
Both Al and Tipper are moronic jerks.
But that’s just like a socialist–take everything away and give it to the top 1% who will distribute as they see fit.
Nah–I like my freedoms and if my teenager wants to listen to Twisted Sister, so be it. I’m my children’s teacher and I know what’s good and bad for them and they listen to reason.
They’ve seen All in the Family and Jesus of Nazareth. They know what I’ll allow and what I won’t.
Stop taking my freedoms away as a parent and a person.

Dan says:

Ok, who’s the wise guy that spent this months grocery money on “carbon credit offsets?”
Algooooooorrrre!!! You get your ass down here and shovel the walks and parkway! NOW!
Dumbass.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, hahaha I remember Al Bundy.
hahaha

Wild Thing says:

Lynn, I love it thank you so much.

Wild Thing says:

Mark he sure is a nitwit, that is exactly what it should be called too….”‘Global Alarmisn'”

Wild Thing says:

Dan, hahaha I can just see him shoveling snow and all grouchy about being wrong. Well that is a dream anyway. giggle

The Goreons & Opee Edwards are still Sorlosermen! Yeah WT, I saw Al Pacino’s ‘Devil’s Advocate’ (1997) today and trial lawyer John Edwards could have played the part as Satan’s NYC law firm. “Corrupt the US legal system and you have a new acquittal priesthood!” Love these Demliblooney millionaires like the Kerry, Kennedy and Edwards phonies that represent the poor and lower middle class, and their constituents buy into it!

Wild Thing says:

Darth, good movie, I agree Edwards would be perfect for that part.
