The Best Military In The World!

This photo was taken by a soldier in Afghanistan of a helo rescue mission. The pilot is a PA Guard guy who flies EMS choppers in civilian life.
Can you imagine just how many people in this world could set the ass end of a chopper down on the roof top of a shack on a steep mountain cliff and hold it there while soldiers load wounded men in the rear??? Our Troops ROCK!
It gives me the chills, I love it! God Bless our military!!!!!

Jack says:

Beautiful photo, have you ever ridden in one of those birds WT? It has twin turbines and five different transmissions, each one louder than the next one. Great bird for troops and cargo and those pilots, I can’t say enough good things about them.

TomR says:

That is a great pilot, and a great bird. The “Hook” has been around a bunch of decades now and continues to prove itsself. Upgrades will perhaps have it around as long as other flying classics, the C-130, C-47/DC-3, and the B-52.
I spent my 1st hitch in Army Aviation and have great affection for “Treetop Air Corps”. It is now considere a true combat branch of the Army.

My boss just showed me this pic at work. That’s someone who has control of their bird.

Tincan Sailor says:

I have a lot of hours in choppers doing line
patrol ,strining wire, hanging transformers and
I would rather fly with an ex-Military Pilot
than a civilian pilot any day of the week…

beth says:

Oh man! That is so cool. Our guys really do ROCK!

Wild Thing says:

Jack I am a huge fan of the Huey since that is what I got to ride in every time.
I would love a chance to ride in all the various choppers. I am so in love with all of them.

Wild Thing says:

Tom that is so interesting. Thank you so much! And great news too for them to be considered a combat branch of the Army.

Wild Thing says:

razOr how neat to have a boss that likes these things too. Thanks razOr.
Love what your boss said. haha

Wild Thing says:

Tincan Sailor, I agree. I feel so much safer with an ex-Military pilot………much safer.
Thanks for sharing about your time with choppers.

Wild Thing says:

Hi Beth, I am so glad you saw this photo. You appreciate our military like I do.
