May Day March By Illegals and Those That Support Them

There are a lot of photos online from all the May Day rallies for ILLEGAL immigration. This is just one of them.

A demonstrator covers his face with a Mexican flag during a May Day immigration and labor march and rally in downtown Los Angeles May 1st.

The article is below but I also want to show you this video.
MAY DAY MARCH BY ILLEGAL ALIENS

Thousands rally in May Day effort for immigration reform
CHICAGO (AP)
Thousands of chanting, flag-waving immigrants and activists rallied in cities across the country Thursday, attempting to reinvigorate calls for immigration reform in a presidential election year in which the economy has taken center stage.
From Washington to Miami to Los Angeles, immigrant rights activists demanded citizenship opportunities for the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. and an end to raids and deportations.

“We come here to fight for legalization. We’re people. We have rights,” said Eric Molina, an undocumented factory worker who immigrated to Zion, Ill., from Mexico.

Molina, his sister and his 13-year-old daughter Erika, a U.S. citizen, were among about 15,000 people who rallied in Chicago in one of the largest demonstrations of the day.
Turnout has fallen sharply since the first nationwide rallies in 2006, when more than 1 million people – at least 400,000 in Chicago alone – clogged streets and brought downtown traffic to a standstill. Activists say this year’s efforts are focused less on protests and more on voter registration and setting an agenda for the next president.
Some said participation likely was lower because many immigrants increasingly fear deportation.
Margot Veranes, a volunteer organizer in Tucson, Ariz., – where 12,000 took to the streets last year but early estimates Thursday put the crowd at about 500 – blamed the turnout on aggressive enforcement by Border Patrol and police.

“People have been stopped and deported in the last week. This is a community living in fear,” said Veranes, a researcher for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades. “You never know when you’re going to be stopped by Border Patrol and now the police.”

But she said that’s also why people were marching.

“We’re marching to end the raids and the deportations, but we’re also marching for health care and education and good jobs,” she said.

In Washington, immigrant rights groups and social justice organizations were demanding that Prince William County, in northern Virginia, rescind its anti-illegal immigration measure. They also called for an end to raids and deportations and for establishment of worker centers in Washington, Maryland and Virginia.
Activists also asked the Republican and Democratic national committees to have their presidential candidates enact immigration reform.
A crowd of about 1,000 gathered on the steps of the Oregon Capitol in Salem to call for changes in immigration and workplace laws within the first 100 days of the next congressional session. Many demanded that Oregon reverse a decision, imposed by the Legislature in February, to require proof of legal residence to get a driver’s license.
Hugo Orozzo, 17-year-old high school senior, was among hundreds who marched through the streets of southwest Detroit. He was born in the U.S., but his father was born in Mexico and some other family members are originally from Mexico.

“It is going to help my family and friends,” Orozzo said of the effort. He carried a preprinted sign that read: “Stop raids and deportations that separate families!” in both English and Spanish.

And in Milwaukee, factory worker Miguel Tesillos, 29, was among hundreds who lined sidewalks waiting for the march to begin.

“Our people, we pay taxes, we pay the same as a citizen,” said Tesillos, who has a Green Card. “Maybe the new president can see this point, and do something for us.”

But activists say they know it will be a challenge to push their issues to the political forefront.
Immigration reform did not resonate with voters in primary elections who overwhelmingly listed the economy as their top concern. Immigration legislation has stalled and been defeated in the Senate, and presidential candidates have not extensively addressed the issues.
Democratic presidential rivals Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton supported a 2006 bill, sponsored by Republican candidate John McCain, that offered illegal immigrants legal status on conditions such as learning English. All three also have supported a border fence.
In Chicago, 17-year-old Celeste Rodarte marched with a group of her friends from the city’s West Side. She said her parents came to the United States more than 20 years ago and became citizens last year.

“I know a lot of people who don’t have papers and I want to help them out,” Rodarte said.

Seventh-grader Vicente Campos of Milwaukee was granted an excused absence from school to attend the march. He said he was concerned by stories of immigration officials separating parents and children.

“Immigrants come here to support their families in Mexico,” said Campos, 13. “They’re not all here to do crimes.”

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Illegals are parasites eating away at the fabric of our democracy. The USA is still a sovereign nation. The government might not think so any longer, but the American people certainly do and we want to keep it that way! If you want to live here as Americans, come the legal way. Otherwise, go away, Jose!

….Thank you Mark for the heads up about this.

Former Guantanamo Detainee Carried Out Iraq Suicide Attack

Former Guantanamo detainee carried out Iraq suicide attack
International Herald Tribune
Al-Arabiya television reports that a former Guantanamo detainee carried out a recent suicide bombing in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.
A cousin says Abdullah Saleh al-Ajmi, a Kuwaiti released from Guantanamo in 2005, was reported missing two weeks ago and his family learned of his death Thursday through a friend in Iraq.
The cousin, Salem al-Ajmi, told Al-Arabiya on Thursday that the former detainee was behind the latest attack in Mosul, although he did not provide more details.
Three suicide car bombers targeted Iraqi security forces in Mosul on April 26, killing at least seven people.
Mosul is believed to be the last urban stronghold of al-Qaida in Iraq.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
Abdullah Saleh al-Ajmi is not the only Guantanamo releasee to return to the fighting. A half dozen have been killed fighting with Al Qa’ida and the Taliban in Afghanistan.
I think these lawyers should also be held accountable.
From Wikipedia:

” On September 2, 2003 attorneys Thomas Wilner, Neil H. Koslowe, Kristine A. Huskey, and Heather Lamberg Kafele filed a Petition for writ of Certiorari on behalf of Al Ajmi and eleven other Guantanamo detainees.
In April 2008 Al Ajmi was reported to have conducted a suicide attack in Iraq.”

And let’s not forget THIS too:
From John McCain

“I would immediately close Guantanamo Bay, move all the prisoners to Fort Leavenworth (Kansas) and truly expedite the judicial proceedings in their cases,” he said.

Shoot and Scoot

50th Public Affairs Detachment
KUWAIT – “As a unit we provide accurate and responsive fire support for units out there on the ground and make sure they get all the fire support they need to accomplish the mission,” said 2nd Lt. Daniel Duffy, a fire direction officer for the 4-27th Field Artillery Regiment.
The 4th Battalion., 27th FA Regt., used the U.S. Army Central ranges near Camp Buehring, Kuwait, to calibrate the 155mm guns of its Paladins before moving north into Iraq.
“We have several different types of charges and propellants that we use,” Duffy said. “Each propellant is manufactured in different lots so they respond differently, therefore we have to determine how much variance there is between lots so that we can account for that during fire missions and provide more accurate fire.”
The Paladin is the most advanced artillery piece currently in use by the U.S. military today. The development of the M109 series was in answer to the need to have a faster, more reliable, highly mobile and extremely lethal replacement for the Howitzer.
The Soldiers of 4th Bn., 27th FA Regt., have the ability to perform many different fire missions due to the versatility and mobility of the Paladin, and its ability to fire different types of rounds.
Besides conventional munitions the Paladin can fire high explosive, illumination and white phosphorous rounds from a distance of about 30 kilometers away, said Sgt. Christopher L. Brown, a Howitzer crewmember with the unit.
Using “shoot and scoot” methods the artillerymen can lay down heavy fire on an enemy position and move out to another position in a manner of 30 seconds thus protecting the crew.

The Paladin is the most advanced artillery system currently in use by the Army today. Only the United States Army uses the Paladin.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Well good grief! How about if we had McCain, Bush, Kennedy and rest of the ILLEGAL friendlies pay for this instead of “we the people”. This makes me so furious that we all have to pay for this, and those in power demanding we cave in to the illegals probably pay the least if anything at all.
Then there are those like Geraldo that tell us ( I heard this on one of Laura Ingraham radio shows when she had Geraldo on) how smart they are, smarter then any other immigrant. That is what Geraldo said and thank God for Laura laying into Geraldo about this BS. What a LIE, what a bunch of poppycock! If they were sooooo smart then we would have to have the press #2 for Spanish all over the freaking place. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
NO OTHER immigrant group has had to have this, no other has demanded it.
Illegals are so SMART Geraldo ????? I think NOT, prove it by taking away every single Press # 2 for Spanish!!!

Thank You Marines of Tilt-Rotor Squadron 263 VMM-263

Marines Report Osprey Has Proven Itself in Iraq
DOD
WASHINGTON, May 2, 2008 – The MV-22 Osprey has proven itself in Iraq, and Marine officials are applying the lessons learned in the first operational deployment of the tilt-rotor aircraft to current operations.

“We’re immensely proud of the Marines of Tilt-Rotor Squadron 263, who took on the challenging task of the first combat deployment of the Osprey,” Lt. Gen. George J. Trautman, deputy commandant for Marine Corps aviation, said here today.

The MV-22 takes off and lands as a helicopter, but flies like an airplane.
Trautman, squadron commander Lt. Col. Paul Rock, MV-22 pilot Capt. Sara Faibisoff, and crew chief Sgt. Danny Herrman briefed Pentagon reporters on the squadron’s deployment to Iraq. The unit deployed from Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., in September 2007 and returned last week.

Trautman said the decision to send the MV-22 to Iraq was the right one. It gave the Marines and soldiers in Anbar province “the best assault support aircraft” ever made, he said.

The MV-22 handled every mission it was assigned, Rock said. The unit flew more than 2,500 sorties during its seven-month deployment, with each of its aircraft flying an average of 62 hours per month. Rock said before the deployment, officials forecast each MV-22 would fly around 50 hours per month.
The aircraft was easier to maintain than the CH-46 helicopters it replaced. The 46 is 1950s-based technology, and mechanics put in 24 hours of maintenance on those aircraft for every hour in the air. The MV-22 took about 9.5 hours of maintenance for every hour of flight.

The squadron deployed with 10 aircraft. “On any given day, about seven aircraft were mission ready,” Rock said. “That was more than sufficient to meet our daily taskings.”

The biggest surprise for the Marines was the vastly increased payload and greatly increased range the Osprey brings to the mission. Herrman said that, in loading the aircraft, he would often run out of cubic space rather than exceeding the weight the aircraft could handle.
The range and speed of the aircraft also were pleasant surprises. Faibisoff told of flying a medical evacuation mission on Christmas Day. She picked up a Marine with a ruptured appendix in a remote base well south of Al Asad Air Base. The aircraft was able to launch and get the Marine to medical help in 56 minutes — well within the “golden hour,” a rule of thumb that gives an ill or injured person the best chance for survival if treated within the first hour of being stricken.

“We were off deck within 15 minutes of receiving the call and headed for a zone about 90 miles south of Al Asad,” she said.

Computer software makes the aircraft easy to fly, and it was able to handle the desert environment, Faibisoff said.
The aircraft flew raid operations and scout missions, and conducted tactical recovery of aircraft and personnel. The squadron also flew alert missions and casualty evacuations.

“The overwhelming majority of what we did was general support — taking people, gear, combat equipment all over the very large battle space,” Rock said.

The combat conditions in Anbar province had improved to such a degree that the aircraft never had to fly into a landing zone while hostilities were under way. Still, Rock said, squadron aircraft came under small-arms fire once and rocket fire once.

“Taking advantage of the aircraft’s performance (means that) somebody’s opportunity to engage us is very short,” he said.

The Marine Corps is looking at adding an all-aspect, all-quadrant weapon on the MV-22.

“The system we’re looking at now with the [U.S.] Special Operations Command is an all-aspect weapon that would be mounted in the belly of the aircraft,” Trautman said. The weapon will fire in any direction and be controlled by a gunner inside the airplane.

Another MV-22 squadron is operating at Al Asad Air Base today. The service will create two more squadrons each year.

“We’re on a journey to exploit a new and revolutionary technology,” Trautman said. “We’re going to continue to learn lessons and we’re going to continue to improve and we’re going to work hard to exploit the capability this aircraft.”

There is also this from this last March this is really interesting…..
Marine Ospreys Will Get 360-Degree Gun
Military.com
ARLINGTON, Va. – It can fly like an airplane, hover like a helicopter, and soon it will be able to spew rounds like Schwarzenegger.
The Marine Corps’ MV-22 Osprey will get a minigun that can fire in all directions, said James Darcy, a spokesman for the Osprey at Naval Air Systems Command.
The Osprey already has a machine gun in the rear of the aircraft, but with the minigun, it would become the only Marine transport helicopter in use with a gun that can fire forward, Darcy said.
The Corps has the option to buy 12 gun systems for Ospreys under a contract with BAE Systems and U.S. Special Operations Command, Darcy said.
The 7.62 mm minigun will go in the rear of the aircraft, while a separate turret with cameras will allow a controller inside the Osprey to see targets, Darcy said.
The weapon system’s computer will take into account the speed and position of the aircraft to determine how much the gunner has to lead the target in order to hit it, he said.
Darcy said the gun will also have software to make sure the minigun doesn’t shoot off the Osprey’s propellers when the aircraft is in airplane mode.
However, the gun will most likely be used more often when the Osprey is in helicopter mode, he said.
The minigun will fire about 3,000 rounds per minute and have a maximum range of about 1,000 meters, said Dave Adamiak, of BAE Systems.
The major factor in determining what weapon with which to fit the Osprey was size limitation, he said.
The entire system needed to fit into two holes in the aircraft’s floor, each known as a “hell hole,” which is used to attach cables to external cargo, such as a Humvee, Adamiak explained.
Weapon systems such as the .50-caliber machine gun were simply too big to fit in the space available, he said.
The weapon system weighs between 700 and 800 pounds, meaning the Osprey will have two to three fewer seats for troops, Adamiak said.

Kennedy and Kerry Say Still Hopeful For Obama

Kennedy still ‘hopeful’ Obama will win Dem. nomination
Boston Herald

“Sen. Edward M. Kennedy admitted yesterday that Barack Obama is running out of time to sew up the Democratic presidential nomination but remains “hopeful” the Illinois senator will overcome Hillary Clinton’s late surge.”

“Kennedy and Sen. John F. Kerry and I are both supporting Obama in his battle against Clinton (D-N.Y.). Kennedy said despite Obama’s recent slips, he remains the best choice for the Democratic party and the country.

“He still offers the best opportunity for new leadership in this country,” Kennedy said.

Obama and Clinton were both in North Carolina last night. Obama has been leading in recent polls in North Carolina while Clinton picked up a big endorsement from Indiana’s largest newspaper, the Indianapolis Star.”

Iraqi Officials Show Proof Of Iranian Support For Militias and Iran Says No More Talks

A woman walks past an anti-American mural on a wall of the former U.S. embassy in central Tehran May 1, 2008.
A senior Iranian official said on Saturday Tehran saw no need for more talks with the United States about Iraqi security until what he described as U.S. attacks on Iraqis stopped, Iran’s Fars News Agency reported.

Iraq presents proof of Iranian meddling-official
BAGHDAD,
May 2
Reuters
An Iraqi delegation in Iran has confronted Iranian security officials with evidence that Tehran is providing support for Shi’ite militias battling Iraqi government forces, an Iraqi official said on Friday.

“They presented a list of names, training camps and cells linked to Iran,” Haidar al-Ibadi, a member of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki’s Dawa party, told Reuters.

“The Iranians did not confess or admit anything. They claim they are not intervening in Iraq and they feel they are being unfairly blamed for everything going on Iraq,” he said of the talks, which took place on Thursday.

Ibadi said he had been in contact with the delegation.
Washington has long accused Tehran of backing Shi’ite militias, particularly fiery cleric Moqtada al-Sadr’s Mehdi Army, providing them with weapons, funding and training. It has displayed some of the weapons, including rockets and mortars.
The Shi’ite-led Iraqi government, however, has generally been more restrained in its criticism of its Shi’ite majority neighbour, which denies the charges and says it supports the government.
Maliki launched a crackdown on the Mehdi Army in the southern oil hub of Basra in late March, provoking a furious response by the militia in southern Iraq and Baghdad, including relentless volleys of Iranian-made rockets against the Green Zone government and diplomatic compound in the capital.
The U.S. military said this week that “very, very significant” amounts of Iranian weaponry had been found in Basra and Baghdad during the offensive. Some of those arms were made in 2008, a senior U.S. military official said on Friday.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said there had been a “sea change” in Baghdad’s view of Iranian activity in Iraq since the discovery of the weapons.

“Basra changed it for the Iraqis. I’m not sure they believed it before. But they went to Basra and saw it first hand,” he said.

Maliki’s ruling United Iraqi Alliance, a coalition of Shi’ite Islamist parties, sent the delegation to Tehran to tell Iranian officials to stop backing the militias.
The delegation includes the deputy speaker of parliament, Khalid al-Attiya, Ali al-Adeeb, a lawmaker from Dawa, and Hadi al-Amari, a powerful figure in the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council, one of the biggest Shi’ite parties in Iraq.
And this is latest as of this posting……..
TEHRAN (Reuters)

A senior Iranian official said on Saturday Tehran saw no need for more talks with the United States about Iraqi security until what he described as U.S. attacks on Iraqis stopped, Iran’s Fars News Agency reported.

Washington accuses Tehran of funding, training and equipping militias in Iraq, a charge Iran denies. Tehran blames the presence of U.S. troops for violence and instability in Iraq.

“Should the Americans’ attacks against civilians and the defenseless Iraqi people come to an end, Iran will consider their request for the fourth round of negotiations,” Fars quoted the official as saying.

It said the official was a senior member of the negotiating team with U.S. officials but did not give his name.

“Under the current conditions, with the Americans’ massive attacks on the Iraqi people in various cities, no need is felt for holding negotiations with that country about Iraq’s security,” the official said.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
“If US savage attacks against the Iraqi people are stopped, we will examine the US request for a fourth round of talks,” the unnamed official said”
Is the savage official too scared to be named? Friggin cowards and thugs.
They must be complaining about our attacks against Mookie’s Army. TUFF he is owned by Iran.
The nerve of them. Asking us to stop attacks on their own Iranian-backed criminal gangs, then they would consider re-opening talks with us. Hell, smart Americans don’t want to bother talking to Iran in the first place. Only the failures like the nitwits in the Iraq Study Group, and the Hamas-supported Presidential candidate, the Obamessiah, think that talking to the Iranians is going to accomplish anything.

Explosively Formed Penetrators found in Baghdad

Explosively Formed Penetrators found in Baghdad
EFP cache found in Warij
FORWARD OPERATING BASE
KALSU, Iraq
Coalition forces found a weapons cache of explosively formed penetrators in the southern Baghdad community of Warij May 2.
Soldiers from 6th Squadron, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division were on patrol in Warij when they discovered four EFPs hidden in a closet shelf in a factory office. A brand new 107 mm rocket was also discovered. The EFPs were covered with foam and had wires leading from the back.
The cache also included 40 pounds of unknown bulk explosives, a rocket sled and blasting caps.
A guard at the factory was detained after it was determined he lied about having prior knowledge about the rocket and EFPs.
The cache was taken to a nearby forward operating base for investigation.

EFP is an explosively formed penetrator weapon. A high explosive behind a shallow cone of maleable metal (usually copper). When the high explosive detonates, the copper cone is instantly liquified. The now liquid copper forms a “slug” of molten metal flying towards the target at about 24,000 feet per second. The energy is enough to cut a small hole right through heavy armor. The molten metal ignites any flamable material it contacts on its way through the vehicle (preferred target is an armored vehicle such as a tank or armord fighting vehicle). It works like a LASER at ranges up to a couple of hundred yards, depending on the size of the copper disk and the type of explosive used. The Iranians have been making them and smuggling them into Iraq for use against our forces.

EFPs have been used in improvised explosive devices against armoured cars, for example[5] in the 1989 assassination of the German banker Alfred Herrhausen (attributed to the Red Army Faction)[citation needed], and by the Hezbollah in the 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict[citation needed]. A recent development is their widespread introduction in IEDs by insurgents in Iraq.[6] The charges are generally cylindrical, fabricated from commonly available metal pipe, with the forward end closed by a concave copper or steel disk-shaped liner to create a shaped charge. Explosive is loaded behind the metal liner to fill the pipe. Upon detonation, the explosive projects the liner to form a projectile at a speed well over 1 km/s, depending on the design and type of explosive used. Because they use explosives to form a molten (technically, a super-plastically formed, but still solid) copper penetrator, instead of using an explosive blast or solid metal penetrator, these charges are extremely dangerous, even to the new generation of MRAPs (which are made to withstand an anti-tank mine), and many tanks.[7] Often mounted on crash barriers at window level, they are placed along roadsides at choke points where vehicles must slow down, such as intersections and junctions. This gives the operator time to judge the moment to fire, when the vehicle is moving more slowly.[8] Detonation is controlled by cable, radio control (RC), or remote arming with passive IR (PIR) trigger. EFPs can be deployed singly, in pairs, or in arrays, depending on the tactical situation.

War News Our Media Does Not Tell Us About

Iraqi Citizens Capture Criminal Responsible for Detonating Bomb
BAGHDAD
Iraqi citizens, who witnessed a vehicle borne improvised explosive device that killed one Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier, turned over a criminal to the Iraqi National Police, May 1.
The citizens observed a man parking a vehicle and walking a significant distance away from it. They saw the man using a cell phone before the detonation. After the blast, Iraqi citizens chased the criminal and made a citizen’s arrest. The criminal was turned over to the Iraqi National Police, where he tested positive for explosive compounds.
Two other criminals were also apprehended after they were observed and identified watching the area when the blast occurred. They also tested positive for explosives.

“An American Soldier paid the ultimate price on behalf of his country, his family and the citizens of Iraq,” said Col. Allen Batschelet, the chief of staff for MND-B and the 4th Infantry Division. “We will not relent in our efforts to rid Baghdad of these criminal elements, and today, as many times before, we were aided in that struggle by the people of Iraq.

“The citizens of Iraq have repeatedly shown their displeasure for these criminals operating in their neighborhoods and are continuing to assist American forces to rid these criminals off the streets in Baghdad,” Batschelet said.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
I am thrilled to see this happening. It seems like it has taken forever but we are seeing more and more of this where the people themselves are fed up with the terrorists.
My only grip though is have you noticed how the kissing up to Islam has morphed from “terrorists” to “insurgents” to “criminals” in military-speak. That I don’t like happening at all.
