Weasel Clark Just Can’t Stop

This was yesterday on MSNBC. This man is nuts, he just can’t stop and he makes no sense at all. He again says he believes Obama has better judgment. LOL

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Obama doesn’t choose his friends well. And he doesn’t have the ability to control his supporters. What makes anyone think he can assemble a team for the executive branch and then lead that team in any cohesive fashion?
Empty suit. Unqualified. Dangerous.

Thank You Letter from Obama

My fellow Americans:
As your future President I want to thank my supporters, for your mindless support of me, despite my complete lack of any legislative achievement, my pastor’s relations with Louis Farrakhan and Libyan dictator Moamar Quadafi, or my blatantly leftist voting record while I present myself as some sort of bipartisan agent of change.
I also like how my supporters claim my youthful drug use and criminal behavior somehow qualifies me for the Presidency after 8 years of claiming Bush’s youthful drinking disqualifies him. Your hypocrisy is a beacon of hope shining over a sea of political posing.
I would also like to thank the Kennedy’s for coming out in support of me. There’s a lot of glamour behind the Kennedy name, even though JFK started the Vietnam War, his brother Robert illegally wiretapped Martin Luther King, Jr. and Teddy killed a female employee with whom he was having an extra marital affair and who was pregnant with his child. And I’m not going anywhere near the cousins, both literally and figuratively. And I’d like to thank Oprah Winfrey for her support. Her love of meaningless empty platitudes will be the force that propels me to the White House.
Americans should vote for me, not because of my lack of experience or achievement , but because I make people feel good. Voting for me causes some white folk to feel relieved of their imagined, racist guilt. I say things that sound meaningful, but don’t really mean anything because Americans are tired of things having meaning. If things have meaning, then that means you have to think about them.
Americans are tired of thinking. It’s time to shut down the brain, and open up the heart. So when you go to vote, remember don’t think, just do. And do it for me.
Thank You.
Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

For any liberal, leftie, Democrat, Obama freak this is obviously not written by Obama. So lighten up!

Obama Didn’t Repudiate Clark’s Comments

Townhall blog
Day three of the Clark controversy, and things keep getting more and more interesting.
Today, Barack Obama is apparently denying that his own speech yesterday in Ohio — where we all assumed he was specifically repudiating Clark’s comments — was, in fact, aimed at Gen. Clark.
Here is what Obama had to say today:

“… I notice that I think in at least one publication it was reported that my comments yesterday about Senator McCain were in a response to General Clark. I think my staff will confirm that was in a draft of that speech that I had written two months ago.”

… Aside from the fact that this is now very, very odd and confusing, today, Obama also seemed to not understand why these comments caused such an uproar in the first place:

REPORTER: “Do you not feel that General Clark owes John McCain an apology?”
BARACK OBAMA: “I guess my question is why, given all the vast numbers of things that we got to work on, that that would be a top priority of mine …?

Wild Thing’s comment……
Well er ah uh , uh , uh. uh. what I meant was uh , it is like this UH…. is the tape recording this..???UH I meant to say……

John Kerry Once Again “Reporting for duty” ~ Trashes Col. Bud Day Over Swift Vets

Kerry Trashes Col. Bud Day and Swift Boat Veterans
Sources:
Politico
huffington
Failed 2004 Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry (Mass.) lashed out today at the most decorated living American serviceman, Col. Bud Day, who was awarded the Medal Honor for his heroism as a POW during the Vietnam War.
Kerry attacked Day for his role in the McCain Truth Squad (a new effort by presumptive Republican presidential candidate John McCain to defend his military service from criticism) because of Day’s participation in the Swift Vets and POWs for Truth (SBVT) 2004 campaign which criticized Kerry’s service in Vietnam as a junior naval officer and his actions protesting the war when he returned home. The scathing attacks by the SBVT and Kerry’s weak response are widely credited with sinking his candidacy.
In a McCain Truth Squad conference call with reporters today, Day defended the SBVT, saying, “The Swift Boat attacks were simply a revelation of the truth, the similarity does not exist here. What the Swift Boat campaign was about was to lay out John Kerry’s record. John Kerry has never produced any evidence to deny that. We are producing the evidence of these attacks right now to show that those remarks were completely inaccurate.”
Kerry responded with a statement to the press: “Colonel Day’s comments today only further highlight the McCain campaign’s disregard for a new kind of politics. John McCain condemned these kinds of attacks in 2004 when he called the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth ‘dishonest and dishonorable.’ Senator McCain should condemn these remarks and cut ties with the Colonel and anyone else connected to SBVT. Day’s comments only serve to disparage all those who served on swift boats in Vietnam.”
Day, incidentally, differed from McCain regarding ithe Swift Boat Veterans. The Arizona Republican was among the first to condemn the Swift Boat ads, calling one “dishonest and dishonorable.”
Kerry served in Vietnam for a few months.
Day was held prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese from 1967-1973. McCain and Day were cellmates at the Hanoi Hilton.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
On the day that Obama gives his (I am too a patriot) speech, we get Obama’s surrogates defending Clarks insinuations that McCains war service is inconsequential and now Kerry deriding Bud Day of all people.
Good God, who’s next on the dem hit parade? Eisenhower? Patton?
Kerry, I would submit, is another good reason to legalize dueling again.

Looking At Wesley Clark The Certified Jerk!

Investors Business Daily
In an interview with CBS’ Bob Schieffer, Wesley Clark , the former NATO commander had the brass to question McCain’s military credentials while trivializing his experience as a combat pilot and prisoner of war.

“He hasn’t been there and ordered the bombs to fall” as a wartime commander, Clark told Schieffer. When Schieffer noted that McCain had been shot down over Hanoi, Clark responded: “I don’t think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president.”

When a visibly shocked Shieffer asked what Obama’s command credentials were, Clark said Obama was running on the strength of his character and judgment.
Clark’s own character, judgment and command experience are also open to question. While commanding NATO troops in defense of Muslim Kosovo and against Serbian Christians, for example, the hot-headed Clark commanded a subordinate British general to attack Russian troops that had landed without NATO permission at the airport in Kosovo’s capital. President Clinton and Defense Secretary William Cohen soon removed Clark, months ahead of schedule.
Obama, who has been more eager to meet with Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad than with Gen. David Petraeus, was wrong about Iraq and the surge. So was Clark.

Rand Beers, who served as the top national security adviser to the 2004 Kerry campaign, said that because McCain was in an unfortunate state of “isolation” during much of the Vietnam War, he missed the domestic turmoil that took place in the U.S. and his national security experience is “sadly limited” as a result.

Now let’s take a look at Wesley Clark
This bozo was fired as the U.S. military commander in Europe. Clark’s firing included charges of lying.
Jim Geraghty of NRO today puts it succinctly: From one of my favorite articles, a profile of Clark: “Interviews with a wide variety of current and retired military officials reveal that Clark was disliked by only three groups: Those whom ranked above him in the chain of command whom he ignored, his peers at the same rank whom he lied to, and those serving beneath him whom he micromanaged.”
And this is from Frontpage
Like Bill Clinton, Wesley was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. While Clinton spent his time in sexual dalliances (and one alleged rape) and leading anti-American demonstrations in Europe and visiting the Kremlin in the dead of winter by special invitation, Clark was more studious. In August 1968 he emerged with a Master’s Degree in philosophy, politics and economics.
The Rhodes Scholarships had been set up by British imperialist Cecil Rhodes to educate the brightest American youngsters in England, a once-secret codicil in his will made clear, so that they would go home and help bring America back under the political sway of the British Empire.
Wesley Clark’s career in the U.S. military was solid but not stellar. It included a variety of backwater assignments as well as one high point, White House Fellow 1975-76.
But an unexpected bolt from the blue suddenly ignited Clark’s life, turning mediocrity into a skyrocket ride that could yet land him in the Oval Office. He was named Commander of the 1st Cavalry Division, III Corps, at sweltering Fort Hood southwest of Waco, Texas.
On a late winter day in 1993, Texas Governor Ann Richards suddenly called the base, later meeting with Clark’s Number Two to discuss an urgent matter. Crazies at a Waco compound had killed Federal agents. If newly-sworn-in President Bill Clinton signed a waiver setting aside the Posse Comitatus Act, which generally prohibits the military from using its arms against American citizens within our borders, could Fort Hood supply tanks and other equipment?
Clinton did. Wesley Clark’s command at Fort Hood “lent” 17 pieces of armor and 15 active service personnel under his command to the Waco Branch Davidian operation. It is absolute fact that the military equipment used by the government at Waco came from Fort Hood and Clark’s command.
The only issue debated by experts is whether Clark was at Waco in person to help direct the assault against the church compound in a scene remarkably similar to the incineration of villagers in a church by the British in Mel Gibson’s movie “The Patriot.”
What happened at Waco was the death, mostly by fire, of at least 82 men, women and children, including two babies who died after being “fire aborted” from the dying bodies of their pregnant mothers.
Planning for this final assault involved a meeting between Clinton Attorney General Janet Reno and two military officers who developed the tactical plan used but who have never been identified.
Some evidence and analysis suggests that Wesley Clark was one of these two who devised what happened at Waco.
As Leftist journalists Alexander Cockburn and Jeffrey St. Clair noted, the ruthless tactics and attitude on display at Waco are strikingly similar to those Clark has used on other battlefields in his career.
Odd, isn’t it, that the Leftist establishment press has told you nothing about the connection between General Wesley Clark and Waco – or what happened to him immediately after the service he rendered the Clintons at Waco?
Immediately after Waco, Wesley Clark’s flat career began an incredible meteoric rise.
In April 1994 he was promoted to Director of Strategic Plans and Policy for the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
In June 1996 Clark was named Commander in Chief of the U.S. Southern Command in Panama and put in charge of most U.S. forces in all of Latin America and the Caribbean.
In June 1997 President Clinton appointed him Commander in Chief of the United States European Command and SACEUR, Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, in command of the forces of NATO, a position Clark would hold until May 2000.
As SACEUR General Wesley Clark would collect a truckload of honors. He would also prosecute Clinton’s war siding with Muslim Kosovars against Serbian Christians in the Balkans.
This war was largely fought from high altitude aircraft to minimize American casualties, an approach that increased civilian casualties on the ground. Clark soon acquired a reputation as someone who lied about such casualties, lies reported even by Time Magazine.
Democrats who support Howard Dean or Dennis Kucinich for their anti-war stance should know that when Russians landed and took over one provincial airport in the region, General Clark commanded British forces to attack the Russians. British General Sir Mike Jackson reportedly refused, saying: “I’m not going to start the Third World War for you!”
Col. David Hackworth about Gen. Wesley Clark, “he’s far more comfortable in a drawing room discussing political theories than hunkering down in the trenches where bullets fly and soldiers die.”
Clark’s nickname among soldiers under his command reportedly was “the Supreme Being.” And that was when Clark was only a general or even lower-ranking officer.

Clark and Michael Moore

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Wesley Clark is the kind of general you’d get if you allowed the New York Times editorial board to choose one.
Now a look at B. Hussein’s military record? Basic training in a madrassa in Indonesia.
From Hot Air:
“Let’s point out a few things about Barack Obama:
In “the matter of national security policy making.” Barack Obama hasn’t ever done anything.
In the matter of gauging your “opponents”, Obama wants to meet with them without preconditions despite having no national-security, military, or diplomatic experience.
Barack Obama hasn’t been on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Barack Obama hasn’t had any executive experience.
Barack Obama hasn’t commanded anything, in wartime or not.
Barack Obama hasn’t dealt with diplomats in any capacity at all.
Barack Obama hasn’t ordered the bombs to fall, although to be fair, he has associated himself with someone who has — William Ayers. ”

“The Axis of Idiots” by Sergeant Major J.D. Pendry

(Too bad we don’t have folks on Capitol Hill willing to speak out like this. J.D. Pendry is a retired Marine Sergeant Major who writes for Random House. He is eloquent, and he seldom beats around the bush! )
“The Axis of Idiots”
Jimmy Carter, you are the father of the Islamic Nazi movement. You threw the Shah under the bus, welcomed the Ayatollah home, and then lacked the spine to confront the terrorists when they took our embassy and our people hostage. You’re the runner-in-chief.
Bill Clinton, you played ring around the Lewinsky while the terrorists were at war with us. You got us into a fight with them in Somalia and then you ran from it. Your weak-willed responses to the U.S.S. Cole and the First Trade Center Bombing and Our Embassy Bombings emboldened the killers. Each time you failed to respond adequately, they grew bolder, until 9/11/2001.
John Kerry, dishonesty is your most prominent attribute. You lied about American Soldiers in Vietnam . Your military service, like your life, is more fiction than fact. You’ve accused our military of terrorizing women and children in Iraq . You called Iraq the wrong war, wrong place, wrong time, the same words you used to describe Vietnam . You’re a fake. You want to run from Iraq and abandon the Iraqis to murderers just as you did the Vietnamese. Iraq , like Vietnam , is another war that you were for, before you were against it.
John Murtha, you said our military was broken. You said we can’t win militarily in Iraq . You accused United States Marines of cold-blooded murder without proof and said we should redeploy to Okinawa . Okinawa, John? And the Democrats call you their military expert! Are you sure you didn’t suffer a traumatic brain injury while you were off building your war hero resume? You’re a sad, pitiable, corrupt and washed up politician. You’re not a Marine, sir. You wouldn’t amount to a good pimple on a real Marine’s butt. You’re a phony and a disgrace. Run away, John.
Dick Durbin, you accused our Soldiers at Guantanamo of being Nazis, tenders of Soviet style gulags and as bad as the regime of Pol Pot, who murdered two million of his own people after your party abandoned Southeast Asia to the Communists. Now you want to abandon the Iraqis to the same fate. History was not a good teacher for you, was it? Lord help us! See Dick run.
Ted Kennedy, for days on end you held poster-sized pictures from Abu Ghraib in front of any available television camera. Al Jazeera quoted you saying that Iraqi’s torture chambers were open under new management. Did you see the news, Teddy? The Islamic Nazis demonstrated another beheading for you. If you truly supported our troops, you’d show the world poster-sized pictures of that atrocity and demand the annihilation of it. Your legislation stripping support from the South Vietnamese led to a communist victory there. You’re a bloated, drunken fool bent on repeating the same historical blunder that turned freedom-seeking people over to homicidal, genocidal maniacs. To paraphrase John Murtha, all while sitting on your wide, gin-soaked rear-end in Washington .
Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Carl Levine, Barbara Boxer, Diane Feinstein, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Pat Leahy, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, the Holly wood Leftist morons, et al, ad nauseam: Every time you stand in front of television cameras and broadcast to the Islamic Nazis that we went to war because our President lied, that the war is wrong and our Soldiers are torturers, that we should leave Iraq , you give the Islamic butchers – the same ones that tortured and mutilated American Soldiers – cause to think that we’ll run away again, and all they have to do is hang on a little longer. It is inevitable that we, the infidels, will have to defeat the Islamic jihadists. Better to do it now on their turf, than later on ours after they have gained both strength and momentum.
American news media, the New York Times particularly: Each time you publish stories about national defense secrets and our intelligence gathering methods, you become one united with the sub-human pieces of camel dung that torture and mutilate the bodies of American Soldiers. You can’t strike up the courage to publish cartoons, but you can help Al Qaeda destroy my country.
Actually, you are more dangerous to us than Al Qaeda is. Think about that each time you face Mecca to admire your Pulitzer. You are America ‘s “AXIS OF IDIOTS.” Your Collective Stupidity will destroy us. Self-serving politics and terrorist-abetting news scoops are more important to you than our national security or the lives of innocent civilians and Soldiers. It bothers you that defending ourselves gets in the way of your elitist sport of politics and your ignorant editorializing. There is as much blood on your hands as is on the hands of murdering terrorists. Don’t ever doubt that. Your frolics will only serve to extend this war as they extended Vietnam .
If you want our Soldiers home as you claim, knock off the crap and try supporting your country ahead of supporting your silly political aims and aiding our enemies.
Yes, I’m questioning your patriotism. Your loyalty ends with self. I’m also questioning why you’re stealing air that decent Americans could be breathing. You don’t deserve the protection of our men and women in uniform. You need to run away from this war, this country. Leave the war to the people who have the will to see it through and the country to people who are willing to defend it.
No, Mr. President, you don’t get off the hook, either. Our country has two enemies: Those who want to destroy us from the outside and those who attempt it from within. Your Soldiers are dealing with the outside force. It’s your obligation to support them by confronting the AXIS OF IDIOTS. America must hear it from you that these self-centered people are harming our country, abetting the enemy and endangering our safety.
Well up a little anger, please, and channel it toward the appropriate target. You must prosecute those who leak national security secrets to the media. You must prosecute those in the media who knowingly publish those secrets. Our Soldiers need you to confront the enemy that they cannot. They need you to do it now.

Harry Reid ~ Coal and Oil Make Us Sick ~ OMG He is Insane!

“…coal makes us sick, oil makes us sick, it’s global warming, it’s ruining our country, it’s ruining our world, we’ve got to stop using fossil fuel, we’ve for generations taken it out of the earth, carbon out of the earth and put it in the atmosphere, it’s making us all sick, it’s changing our world….” — Harry Reid

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Hey insane Harry! Socialist democrat global warming Kool-aid makes ME sick!
HELP HARRY REID! Send your used bicycle to his office immediately, so he can get on it and start biking to work. Let’s get rid of those secret service officers. Forbid him from flying in a plane. Let’s stop accepting limousine liberals dictating how the rest of us should live and insist that they use as little of all the substances they hate. Nuclear power bad? Turn off his lights. Coal bad? Turn off his heat. Oil bad? Take away his car.

Great News Laura Ingraham Back On Her Radio Show

The conservative talker writes on her website “We are apparently being allowed to return to the airwaves June 30. Keep your fingers crossed.” Ingraham had previously posted on her website that her absence from radio “is not of my choosing, nor is it health or family related.” Since being off radio for a large part of June, Ingraham found her way onto Fox News, anchoring their new 5pm ET news show. Last week, in an interview with the Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz, she claimed “TRN ‘barred her from her Washington studio after talks about a new contract hit a snag.'” Her current 5-year deal with TRN expires in September.

Representative Mike Pence,R-IN. ROCKS ~ God Bless Him!

The Democratics have been talking about “doing something” to silence broadcastors like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, and the Internet Christian Conservatives in the form of FCC regulation using the FAIRNESS DOCTRINE. It is a censorship of free speech, and a violation of our First Amendment Rights.
Rep Mike Pence is putting forth this legislation to continue to protect us for another year from use of the Fairness Dontrine, and has agreement of 300 in congress; but only 190 have signed petition.
Pres Bush has agreed to sign. We must motivate those others promised to protect our right as conservatives to speak out for our faith, our conservative views and protection of internet podcasters and blogs.

Mike Pence with Hoosier troops in Tikrit; Pence traveling with General Petraeus

Representative Mike Pence,R-IN., revealed no Democrat has signed the discharge petition for the Broadcaster’s Freedom Act. Speaker Pelosi recently admitted to Human Events her support for the ‘Fairness’ Doctrine.
Rep.Mike Pence Addresses Fairness Doctrine On House Floor…see VIDEO link below.
PLEASE CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO of Rep. Mike Pence.
Congress is just 23 signatures away from a vote that could finally end the archaic Fairness Doctrine and create a permanent free-market system for talk radio.
Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.) continues to urge congress members to sign the Broadcaster Freedom Act discharge petition. The petition will “prevent the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from repromulgating the fairness doctrine,” originally initiated in the 1930s under Franklin Roosevelt.
During its glory days, the Fairness Doctrine was never applied to ensure conservatives’ air time. In fact, conservative voices were shunned while liberal bias seemed to mysteriously remain under the radar of the FCC. The Fairness Doctrine’s attempt at “fairness” created the most imbalanced media atmosphere possible.
Rep. Pence’s bill could kick the Fairness Doctrine to the curb permanently, much to the disdain of Democrats like Sen. John Kerry, Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

“I think the Fairness Doctrine ought to be there and I also think equal time doctrine ought to come back. I mean these are the people who wiped out one of the most profound changes in the balance of the media is when the conservatives got rid of the equal time requirements,” said Sen. Kerry. “And the result is that, you know, they’ve been able to squeeze down and squeeze out opinion of opposing views and I think it’s been an important transition in the imbalance of our public.

First, [Democrats] failed on the radio airwaves with Air America, no one wanted to listen,” says a senior adviser to Pelosi. “Conservative radio is a huge threat and political advantage for Republicans and we have had to find a way to limit it.”
The 195 Congress members who have already signed the discharge petition refuse to let this happen. The bill needs 218 signatures for the legislation to get a vote. To date, not one Democrat has broken with Pelosi to support the bill. Nine Republican representatives have also failed to sign the discharge petition.

“If the Broadcaster Freedom Act is brought to the floor of the House of Representatives, I have every confidence that it will pass because, when freedom gets an up-or-down vote in the People’s House, freedom always wins,” said Rep. Pence.

And this………
Pelosi Supports ‘Fairness Doctrine’
by John Gizzi
Human Events
The speaker of the House that a bill by Rep. Mike Pence (R.-Ind.) to outlaw the “Fairness Doctrine” (which a liberal administration could use to silence Rush Limbaugh, other radio talk show hosts and much of the new alternative media) would not see the light of day in Congress during ’08. In ruling out a vote on Pence’s proposed Broadcaster’s Freedom Act, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D.-CA.) also signaled her strong support for revival of the “Fairness Doctrine” — which would require radio station owners to provide equal time to radio commentary when it is requested.
Experts say that the “Fairness Doctrine,” which was ended under the Reagan Administration, would put a major burden on small radio stations in providing equal time to Rush Limbaugh and other conservative broadcasters, who are a potent political force. Rather than engage in the costly practice of providing that time, the experts conclude, many stations would simply not carry Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and other talk show hosts who are likely to generate demands for equal time.
Pelosi to Senate: Filibuster FISA
Although Speaker Pelosi would not specifically call for Sen. Barack Obama to lead a filibuster against Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act legislation in the Senate, she did send a strong signal that she was positive about the talk of filibuster against the surveillance measure by Democratic Sens. Christopher Dodd (CT.) and Russ Feingold (Wisc.)
Recalling that there were many issues before the Senate that she felt deserved but did not get a filibuster — on the war in Iraq and expansion of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) that the Administration vetoed, for example — Pelosi voiced her opinion that “a filibuster focuses on a very important issue” and that the importance of FISA “justifies that.”
The Speaker pointed out that “if the Senate has the ability to filibuster, and “I think there is a great appetite in the public for such a debate on [FISA] to take place. And I think it would be healthy and wholesome.”

.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
I hope and pray he gets all the signatures he needs for his bill. This is soooo important.
Regarding future plans for Mike Pence, I would love for this man to run for President! I know it is too late this time but WOW if he would run let’s sday Mike Pence and Palin. Add Bolton in the mix too. giggle I love how we DO have conservatives out there. It is just sickening that we have none for this election. deep sigh

So Tell Us, Sen. Obama, ‘Who Else Sent You?’ by Russ Vaughn

So Tell Us, Sen. Obama, ‘Who Else Sent You?’
Russ Vaughn
It was, of course, inevitable. How could any politician rise so quickly on the legendarily corrupt Chicago political scene and be as pure as Obama’s devoted followers were purporting him to be? The question in the minds of skeptics was, “Who sent you?”
Well now we’re beginning to find out and it ain’t pretty. In a lengthy, and amazingly frank, Boston Globe article depicting the dismal results of Chicago’s attempt to develop and manage low income housing through private developers, we see that the candidate of change is nothing more than another Chicago machine-generated pol with his feet firmly mired in the muck of corruption of the city he chose to make his political base.
From the Globe article we learn that Tony Rezko, FOB, (Friend of Barack’s) whom we have known up to now only as a corrupt developer, was and is, in fact, a slum lord, although on a much grander scale than what we usually associate with that term. Using government subsidies which Obama helped them obtain, Rezko and other FOB’s, some now actively associated with his campaign, developed low income housing with fancy sounding names and substandard construction within Obama’s state senatorial district.
The article points out that it was Obama’s law firm and Obama himself that represented these slum lords when angry tenants complained about overflowing sewage, inoperable heating units and rat infestations. And guess what? Just as we’re expected to believe that Obama sat in his church for twenty years and never heard any of Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s racist diatribes, now we’re told Obama was unaware of the slum-like conditions his constituents were living in, conditions directly attributable to the thievery from public coffers of his political cronies like Rezko.
But getting to a partial answer of that old Chicago test of cronyism, “Who sent you?” will require you to read to page seven of the Boston Globe article where you find this:

“All the while, Tony Rezko was forging a close relationship with Barack Obama. When Obama opened his campaign for state Senate in 1995, Rezko’s companies gave Obama $2,000 on the first day of fund raising. Save for a $500 contribution from another lawyer, Obama didn’t raise another penny for six weeks. Rezko had essentially seeded the start of Obama’s political career.” [emphasis added]

Thirteen years later, the now out-of-business slum lord, Tony Rezko, is a convicted felon and on his way to federal prison, while his political protégé is trying to become the head of the federal government. Do you suppose foreign-born Tony understands irony? Do you think he’s scrabbling to find Eric Holder’s phone number? Although, considering Obama’s demonstrated willingness to abandon anyone who comes between him and the White House, Ol’ Tony probably shouldn’t hold his breath waiting for a return call. After all, the tens of thousands he has given Obama in the past are now chump change for a candidate who can forego public campaign funding without a backward glance at either his promises or his former mentors.
The true irony in all this is not that this champion of change is tainted; it’s by what he’s tainted. You’d at least think if this Pied Piper of America’s youth is going to be just another corrupt politician that it would be something hip like being in the pocket of some billionaire software developer or hip-hop promoter.
But slum lords? The Messiah of Change?
So what at first seemed nothing more than tainted whiffs of unwise political and religious associations by Obama are growing into a stench of ordinary political corruption that may very well be more than many moderate voters, even Democrats, can stomach. For sure there are increasing numbers of blowflies buzzing in and about the diminishing glow of that once-bright halo. Of course, for the Kool Aid drinkers, it will simply morph into a crown of thorns.
So tell us, Sen. Obama, “Who else sent you?”
