McCain Worker: Attacker Angered By GOP Sticker

Pittsburgh police are investigating after a volunteer for the Republican campaign says she was attacked by a mugger who became enraged after seeing a John McCain bumper sticker on her car last night.
According to police, Ashley Todd, 20, said she was robbed at an ATM at the corner of Liberty Avenue and Pearl Street in the Bloomfield area around 9 p.m. Wednesday after leaving a Republican phone bank.
Todd told police that the suspect, described only as a dark-skinned African-American man about 6’4″, stole $60 from her and became enraged after seeing a bumper sticker supporting Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain on her car.
Todd, who is from Texas, said the suspect put a knife to her neck and demanded money.
Todd told police that the man became very angry after noticing the McCain sticker on her car and began punching and kicking her.
After repeatedly hitting, kicking and threatening her, Todd told police that the man carved a “B” in her cheek.
According to the police report, the officer confirmed that he “observed the wound on the right side of [her] face.
Todd declined immediate medical attention last night but said she would go to the hospital today.
The suspect ran off after the attack; but police are hoping that footage from bank surveillance camera may help lead them to the suspect.
In an official statement the McCain campaign says: “We’re shaken up by this. It’s sick and disgusting.”
Governor Sarah Palin reportedly spoke with the victim by phone.
Meanwhile, late this afternoon, the Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, saying: “This is a horrendous act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice.”

She calls it a political attack — a McCain campaign volunteer says she was attacked in Bloomfield.
Patrick Graham, the president of College Republicans in Pittsburgh, told KDKA that Todd works for the National College Republican Committee.
She’s been in Pittsburgh about a week.
Graham said Todd was on her way to meeting, when she reported robbery and assault took place.
Among other things, police are checking security cameras in the neighborhood to see what, if anything, they may have recorded.
A photo obtained by the Drudge Report website showed Todd after the alleged assault.
However, KDKA could not verify the authenticity of the photo.
Pittsburgh Police did not take a photo of the woman.

I think Obama should be partly to blame for this. He told his followers to go out and ” get in their faces”, he tells at his website to go and protest at the McCain/Palin rallies. And his low life follwers obey him. His words of how terrible this attack was mean nothing just as he means nothing as a human being.

At a news conference this afternoon, offiicals said they believe the woman’s injuries were self-inflicted. Ashley Todd, 20, is now facing charges for filing a false report to police.

Filing a false report and interfering with police business , this is really sick!!!!!!
Times have changed, it use to be a scarlet A, now it’s a backwards B.
What she did messes with both McCain and Obama’s campaign. I could give a rats ass about the Obama campaign but this is very serious what she did.
What she did deserves a stiff penalty – because she was messing with an election (in that it would probably influence voters) and in the fact that she made a racially charged false statement in a very volatile environment.

LONGWOOD, Fla.
The home of a Central Florida Republican headquarters manager was shot up and damaged over his support of Sen. John McCain, the man told police.
Rog Coverely said several pellets pierced his Longwood home. Coverely showed several spiderwebbed-holes in the front windows of his home
The Republican manager said he is convinced he was targeted because of new McCain signs he added around his home.

“All I can tell you is this, I have a very good relationship with my neighbors,” Coverely said. “I mow my lawn. The only thing that has changed is I have two McCain signs in my front yard.”

Coverely said he has taken about 300 calls concerning stolen or vandalized McCain signs in the area.

“It says this campaign is getting vicious,” Coverely said.

Coverely said it appears Democrats are becoming more aggressive in the county.

“I wouldn’t say slipping, but I would say the Democrats have become far more aggressive in Seminole County because it is such a heavy Republican area,” Coverely said.

Police departments in cities across the country are beefing up their ranks for Election Day, preparing for possible civil unrest and riots after the historic presidential contest.
Public safety officials said in interviews with The Hill that the election, which will end with either the nation’s first black president or its first female vice president, demanded a stronger police presence.
Some worry that if Barack Obama loses and there is suspicion of foul play in the election, violence could ensue in cities with large black populations. Others based the need for enhanced patrols on past riots in urban areas (following professional sports events) and also on Internet rumors.
Cities that have suffered unrest before, such as Detroit, Chicago, Oakland and Philadelphia, will have extra police deployed.
In Oakland, the police will deploy extra units trained in riot control, as well as extra traffic police, and even put SWAT teams on standby.

“Are we anticipating it will be a riot situation? No. But will we be prepared if it goes awry? Yes,” said Jeff Thomason, spokesman for the Oakland Police Department

This is more proof he lied about Wright, when saying “the man I saw yesterday was not the man I knew for 20 years”.
The DNC has not put Obama up to run because they want to do something for race relations; in fact, they are absolutely exploiting the worst level of racial divide, splitting the country wide open in their drive for ultimate control over US.

Mayor Daley had suggested Obama use the United Center to keep the price down–but Celine Dion was already booked there for a Nov. 4 concert
The field is home to softball diamonds, the popular summer Lollapalooza music festival and was the site of the mass pope John Paul held in Chicago nearly 30 years ago.
It would not be the first big outdoor event for Obama. He announced his presidential run outside the old state capitol in Springfield on a very cold day last February and gave his nomination acceptance speech at Denver’s Mile High Stadium.

Mayor Daley today put a $2 million price tag on the cost of city services associated with the giant Barack Obama election night rally in Grant Park.
Mayor Daley suggested the United Center as cheaper simpler alternative but was turned down.
The mayor said the cash-flushed Obama campaign has agreed to reimburse the city for those services because Chicago is grappling with a $465 million deficit and is in no position to pay for it.

Asked if he objected to Obama’s decision to hold the rally in Grant Park, Daley said, “Could you see me saying no to Sen. Obama? Give me a break. I’m not that dumb.”

The mayor said the indoor United Center “would be much easier but the campaign so far … wants to do it in the open. They applied for the permit.”

Daley acknowledged that the Grant Park rally would create a logistical nightmare. “You’d have to secure buildings, close down buildings,” he said.

“You need sanitation. … You have to secure the CTA. You have to have traffic people. … You have close streets seven to eight hours before.”

Obama getting cocky and planning another “big” event. Counting those chickens a bit early??

This month marks the 25th Anniversary of the bombing of the Marine Barracks in Beirut, Lebanon on 23 Oct 2008.

On Sunday, October 23,1983 at approximately 6:20 a.m. 241 Marines, sailors and soldiers were killed and hundreds of others were wounded or disabled.
This was the result of a suicide truck, laden with explosives carrying the equivilant of 20,000 pounds of TNT that detonated on the ground floor of BLT 1/8 headquarters barracks in Beirut, Lebanon. The largest non-nuclear explosion of its time.
Other servicemen from 1982-1984 perished from sniper fire and other atrocities.
Others died years later or are permantly disabled as the result of their wounds. This makes a total of 270 Marines, sailors and soldiers that died during a peacekeeping mission.
We honor the memory of those Marines who paid the ultimate price on that dreadful day.

Not all blacks are voting for Obama. This is the first I have heard of them.
The group of mostly Black men men held signs that read, Blacks against Obama, Jesse Jackson hates Obama, Obama for abortions, Obama for gay marriage and Obama endorsed by the KKK.
They are said to be part of a Miami based group called Blacks Against Obama . They have shown up at all the Obama rallies in Florida, Tampa, Coral Gables, University of Miami etc.
During Obamas speech in Coral Gables, Florida, a sea of protest signs greeted him which interrupted his message. The signs contained various messages on them all under the auspices of Blacks Against Obama.
Although Obama told the crowd it was fine for protesters to be there, behind the scenes his campaign staffers did something else. The entire group was physically escorted out of the political event in a manner resembling Hells Angels security at a rock concert. One moment of the video captures what might be a hand-signal from Obama himself.
Nobody should object to removing protesters from a public event convened to express ideas. The crowd is there to hear Obama speak, and even well-intentioned protests interfere with Obamas own first amendment right to free speech.
What may raise eyebrows is how the large team of security guards descended on the crowd like wolves. Nobody wants to live in a police state where political protests are broken up abruptly simply to allow a political candidate to deliver the usual stump speech.
One expects that Obama will coach his vigilant backers on how to better handle the situation in the future.
