Spending America Into Economic Collapse: Obama’s Way To Totalitarianism
By Dr. Alan Bates, MD.
Economic cycles are normal for free enterprise economies and such economies are the most prosperous in the world. Recovery from past economic contractions has relied primarily upon creation of new jobs by new small businesses—not as much by existing businesses and certainly not government. While technical advances ‘displace’ some employees into other jobs, they also boost efficiency and return on capital investment which generates increased taxable revenues which in turn helps fund government needs.
Obama’s totalitarian ideology does not embrace investment in private enterprise which enriches citizens and government. Instead, it funds growing government and the labor unions (which help keep socialists in control) at the expense of the individual’s prosperity and liberty.
With respect to monetary policy, the more government takes from investors and workers (in bonds and taxes), the less capital goes to the private sector for startup companies and new jobs. A growing Federal government creates a larger web of bureaucracy and regulatory hurdles which further crush the private sector. Obama’s secular progressive ideology is the antithesis of that which embraces the growth and health of the private sector and thus America’s long-term economic success and power.
As long as he and his economic team are grounded in Alinsky socialist ideology which advocates ‘social justice’ by taking capital from business owners through high taxes and costly regulations and giving it to government which then redistributes it to those of lesser financial means, America will see no economic recovery. It is this failure which Obama finds inconvenient on the public stage but importantly convenient as a means to create a ‘captured’ population of dependents who will support his totalitarian ideology.
Another factor behind lack of economic recovery as compared to prior downturns is rooted in the housing bubble which saw its birth with Democrat socialist engineering schemes combined with the greed and destructive creativity of Wall Street banks and lenders. As the housing bubble grew, Americans put most of their eggs in one basket as capital selectively flowed into anything connected with the housing industry—real estate, homebuilders, materials, lenders, insurers, appraisers, furniture and appliance makers. America’s tunnel vision thus failed to power development of new industry and technology upon which it could fall back should the housing industry run out of steam.
Obama and his czars have caused Fedzilla to run amok when it should be downsized and wasteful spending sprees curtailed, particularly the handouts to unions and other cronies (as payback for campaign support), and the multibillions of dollars in ‘foreign aid’ gimmicks. No nation has ever spent itself out of debt! Combined with lower taxes, downsizing the Federal budget would create more capital for new business startups which leads to job creation, more consumer spending, and eventual economic recovery.
Until the uncontrolled and irresponsible spendthrift mindset in DC changes (which seems unlikely unless We the People take our government back or China forces our government to the mat), the economic health of America will continue to decline until our currency collapses as our national debt metastasizes and drowns our falling GDP.
Remember, government can only spend what it collects from bond auctions, taxes, and printing more money which devalues the currency. If jobs are scarce, tax collections will be lower unless taxes are raised to levels which cripple business and individuals. If Federal debt levels are too high, bond sales will wither. That virtually guarantees devaluation through inflation of the money supply.
Obama and his unscreened appointees have kidnapped America and taken us well down the road to totalitarianism—a political system in which the state, under the control of a single political person, faction, or class, recognizes no limits to its authority and strives to regulate every aspect of public and private life. Only We the People can stop them. We and our children will suffer greatly if we fail. Every patriot’s vote counts (even if just once)!
Wild Thing’s comment…….

The worst thing is that Titler wrote how this happens to Democracies in his history in 1776 so the constitutional convention made sure not to start a democracy but a Representative Republic in 1789. Despite the sophistication of our founding fathers the 17th amendment was passed in the moronic era of Woodrow Wilson and converted the United States into a Democracy just so that this disaster could befell the United States.
Avitar, thanks for that about the 17th Amend.
