South Carolina Republican Party members have had enough from progressive Senator Lindsey Graham. The Aiken County Republican Party recently approved a formal censure of the controversial senator.

The Aiken County Republican Party has approved a formal censure of U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
The party’s executive committee took the action Thursday, joining a handful of other county parties, including Greenville’s GOP.
Committee member Pete Seaha, who also is the Aiken County Tea Party chairman, wrote the resolution and introduced it at the meeting. The resolution states in part that Graham won’t be invited to any party meetings or events.
“I don’t believe the senator is sticking to conservative Republican principles,” said Seaha. “In my mind, the senator has disrespected his constituents. He has said publicly on a talk show that he didn’t care what they thought.”
Seaha said it was his understanding that 18 people on the executive committee supported the resolution, while two opposed it and two abstained.
Kevin Bishop, a Graham spokesman, said via e-mail that while some of the senator’s friends may not want to meet with him, “his door will always be open. Sen. Graham respects those who disagree with him, but he strongly believes we need to keep an open dialogue.”
Wild Thing’s comment…….
I bet his vote for Kagan sealed the deal about their decision. And there was also his relentless push for amnesty, heck there is a whole list one could mention. In the past Lindsey has publicly stated he pays little attention to the desires of his constituents.
Remember when he said this just a little while back……..
“Everything I’m doing now in terms of talking about climate, talking about immigration, talking about Gitmo is completely opposite of where the tea party movement’s at,” Graham says. “The problem with the tea party, I think, is it’s just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country. It will die out.”
They had their chance 4 year ago to get rid of this RINO and didn’t. Now more are seeing the light. It’s about time. Better late than not at all. He said worse things then all about Illegal Immigration.
People are complacent and lazy and wait for the last minute to do something. Grahm and McCain need to be put out to pasture and forgotten.
I hope Graham does not enjoy his last two years in the Senate. I guess that by now most Repubs and all conservatives in S. Carolina have figured this Rino out and if he runs for reelectio, he will not survive the primary.
What the hell is wrong with the folks in Arizona? I had hoped McCain would not get beyond the primary. Now he has on his conservative face and after the Nov general election, if he wins he will rvert to his confusing “maverick” role. Damn politicians!
Lindsay Graham is the atypical politician. His concerns with his own welfare overshadow the wishes of those he represents.
Both the House and the Senate are filled with these lovely folk.
This is the exact reason why the Tea Party movement has gained such strength. Folks are getting tired of being told what is best for them by the likes of people like Lindsay Graham.
We as a Nation have put ourselves in this position, over a period of Election Cycles. We have allowed folks like Graham to abuse the power of their office. It is not too late to begin to reverse this trend, but it is close.
In November we need to look at the Candidates, and research as much as we can.
Vote wisely, as if your life depends upon it, because it does!
This South Carolinian public servant’s days in the United States Senate as a Republican are coming to an end.
Wake up, SC…LG needs to go!! NOW!!
Look out-if the Democrats lose the Senate at the poles, watch Democrat leadership offer Lindsey Lohan Graham a sweet deal to flip ala “Benedict Arlen” Spector. Come 2012 the Dems will stab him in the back the way they did Benedict Arlen and others. Sadly, the Dems have less tolerance for turncoats than Republicans who will sell themselves out to hold onto a seat. This is why I seek out and support individual candidates that I like and refuse to give a cent to the RNC or the State party. I refuse to see my $ used to support liberals and RINOS such as Spector, Graham and the “two sisters”-Snowe & Collins from Maine who could also become turncoats for the right pieces of silver. Whatever one does, the other will follow. Those two are like Siamese twins joined together at the left.
Thanks everyone.
