Iran President: Attack on Syria Is an Attack on Islam
TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s president warned Israel against extending its offensive in Lebanon to neighboring Syria, saying such a move would be regarded as an attack on the whole Islamic world and be met with a “crushing response,” the official Iranian news agency said Friday.
Israel has intensified its attacks on Lebanon to put pressure on the government and force Hezbollah to free the two Israeli soldiers it captured Wednesday. Syria and Iran are the top backers of the Shiite Hezbollah guerrilla group in Lebanon.
“If the occupying regime of Jerusalem attacks Syria, it will be equivalent to an attack on the whole Islamic world and the regime (Israel) will face a crushing response” Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted as saying by IRNA.
Ahmadinejad made the comments in a telephone conversation with Syrian President Bashar Assad to assure him of his support, the agency said.
The Iranian leader called on Muslim countries to create a united front against Israel.
“The Islamic world, especially countries in this region, need more unity and integrity, particularly in the context of Lebanon and Palestine,” Ahmadinejad said.
Separately, the spokesman for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, Hamid Reza Asefi, denied Israeli allegations that the captured Israeli soldiers were being transferred to Iran.
On Thursday, Israel said it had information that Hezbollah guerrillas were trying to transfer the soldiers to Iran, apparently to prevent Israeli troops from rescuing them.
“These sort of accusations are simply nonsense,” Asefi said, according to IRNA.

Think about it for a minute. What can Iran do about it if Israel attacks Syria? NOTHING, not a stinking thing. It’s logistically impossible for Iran to mount any type of offensive against Israel. They don’t have the means or equipment to do so. Even if they did, it would mean crossing Iraq or Saudi Arabia and that isn’t going to happen.
Iran’s president likes to talk tough but he doesn’t have anything to back his talk with.
Yeah. I’m sure Israel is quaking at the thought of Iran getting involved. Oh wait, they are.

Listen to the whiny little pissants wail about a little well aimed incoming arty into the Beirut airport and military airbases, while they have been aimlessly lobbing Kassam and Katyusha rockets at random targets in Israel doing what they do best, indiscriminately killing civilians, having been on the business end of 122mm rockets I really sympathize with the Israeli people and have absolutely no compassion whatever for the Palestinians and their supporters. They are getting the richly deserved drubbing they have been begging for.

The ragheads bluster..that is a part of the culture, even among each other. They brag and boast more than a couple of brothers playing the dirty dozens..and then can’t understand why someone takes them serious. But they can’t fight their way out of a paper bag with a broad sword and now that their is no one to put a leash on Israel it is gonna be Katy bar the door.
GUY, they sure do. Nick and I were talking about that today, how they sure do love to spew and spout and brag and boast. But they are nothing compared to what the red, white and blue , the awesome USA and Israel have in defense and military.
