Obama’s Does Some Admission On His Socialized Medicine Bill

Barack Obama admitted yesterday that democrats “snuck” a provision into their nationalized health care bill that will force government bureaucrats between you and your doctor.

Obama’s Stunning Admission
Real Clear Politics

“The last thing I will say, though — let me say this about health care and the health care debate, because I think it also bears on a whole lot of other issues. If you look at the package that we’ve presented — and there’s some stray cats and dogs that got in there that we were eliminating, we were in the process of eliminating. For example, we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in saying to people if you can have your — if you want to keep the health insurance you got, you can keep it, that you’re not going to have anybody getting in between you and your doctor in your decision making. And I think that some of the provisions that got snuck in might have violated that pledge.“

If we take this statement at face value, President Obama is admitting the the health care bills passed by either the House or Senate (or both) contained provisions which were “snuck in” – presumably by Democratic members and perhaps on behalf of certain lobbyists – that would have in fact prevented people from keeping their current insurance and/or choosing the doctor they want.
This was one of the core debates on health care throughout last year: Would President Obama and the Democrats’ legislation allow government to come between citizens and their choice of doctors and insurers? Obama promised it wouldn’t. Republicans said it would, and this was one of the aspects of the legislation that led them to characterize it as a government takeover of health care – the same characterization that Obama chastized the GOP for.
So it’s a bit of shock to find out now – from the President himself, no less – that one or both of the bills that passed Congress late last year (the House passed its version in late November, the Senate on Christmas Eve Day) contained language that would have violated this pledge.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
We’ve watched Obama for a year now, and we’ve watched Congress for a lifetime, and we know how they operate.
By ‘admitting’ that he’s trying to deflect from the reality that everything about this legislation would have encouraged employers to change or dump their coverages—and doctors to hang up their stethoscopes. ‘If you like your doctor, you get to keep him or her’ was a great big in-your-face whopper from the get-go.
I would never have labeled the article ‘Obama’s Stunning Admission’. I don’t find it stunning at all.
What ‘Stunning Admission’? I read the entire article and nowhere did he ‘admit’:
1.That he is a congenital LIAR. (he makes Bill Clinton look like Saint Thomas Aquinas)
2.There just ‘may be’ something amiss with his ‘heritage’. (no I’m not a birther)
3.To him, Capitalism is evil.
4.That he is a confirmed Marxist.
5.All monies & properties must be taken confiscated from ‘the rich’. (except for his)
6.His goal is to destroy the USA as a Republic.
7.He thinks all us ‘little people’ are STOO-PID™ and we can’t tie our shoes without ‘HIS’ help.
8.The reason he hasn’t picked a church in DC ‘yet’ is because he does NOT believe in God.
9.He HATES America, The Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, and ALL our Founding Fathers.
10.He thinks Communism hasn’t worked ‘yet’ because he wasn’t there to lead it.

One thing, and one thing alone will “Fix” healthcare. If we would just take the lawyers out of the equation, healthcare costs would drop like a rock. Bad doctors need to be eliminated. But currently, we do not do that, we only penalize their insurance carriers, causing them to raise rates to all doctors, regardless of skill; and they in turn, pass this on to the patient. Anyone see anything there to cause a doctor to do better? Anyone see anything there to cause a doctor to not raise his rates, even if he is the best or worst in the business?
There is no country on the planet with healthcare as good as it is in the USA! None! Everyone in this country has emergency healthcare, and everyone in this country has better healthcare than Canada, England, or any European country that claims to have government funded healthcare. This healthcare problem, (only a problem in the eyes of some), can be handled with but that one change- NO LAWYERS!
And, on government handling of things- how about our trade deficit and loss of jobs? If we want to truly end the deficit, we could drill for Oil here in the USA, make refinery building possible, and lay more pipelines.
On our high unemployment that they are trying to fix for Billions, with a “B”-
A billion is 1,000 Million, is it not?
I am told that there are 40 million workers over 50 in the US workplace. If the government would give each of them 10 million dollars to leave the workplace forever that would cost but $400,000,000. Less than half a billion of the many billion gummint claims would be needed to “fix” the problem. In order to qualify for the $10 mil, one would have to promise to not re-enter the workplace, would have to either buy a new home or pay off a mortgage, and would have to buy a new car built principally in the USA. This would put builders to work, infuse funds into the mortgage industry, and sell a hell of a lot of cars, putting the auto industry back to work. As I see it the only problem here would be that there is no provision for the politician to line his pockets.
If a problem needs fixing, the poorest way to go about it is to bring in the government. Nothing good that the private sector does, can be better done by the government- NOTHING!
“Never Forget that Government Political Correctness allowed the deaths of 14 souls at Ft. Hood Texas on 11/5/09!”

Mark says:

The democrats snuck that into the bill. Did they also ‘sneak in’ “The Death Panels”, and Special Needs children will not get the help they need, Or that the government will ration care to the elderly as they get older to save money.
Why is obama just finding out that the democrats “snuck” in this provision ? Doesn’t obama know you can’t trust democrats. Before opening his big mouth to bad mouth the Republicans, wouldn’t it be a good idea to maybe read both bills ?
But this centrist move is more of the same Smoke and mirrors we’ve gotten from obama before. If he was NOT the Marxist he claims NOT to be then why not fire all those CZars with the Maoist admiration complex. After all, A centrist certainly wouldn’t want any left wing losers working for him.

TomR says:

Damn right Frankly Opinionated. I agree with all you said, especially about the lawyers. The Denocrats healthbill has no provisions for tort reform. The whole bill is about control of our lives.

Wild Thing says:

Frankly, well said!!!
Mark, great point! He sure is a Marxist and we know it by his words and deeds.
Tom, this more then anything so far he wants to do freaks me out.

Mark says:

Sorry Frankly, your way off on that 400 Million
$400,000,000 WOULD be a nice figure but you are off by about almost 4 trillion dollars.
10 Million x 40 Million = 400 Trillion. This can also be written (10 x E6) x (40 x E6) = 400 xE12
When you multiply 10 million or 10 xE6 times 40 x E6 you must add exponents, that is 10 x 40 = 400 adding exponents E6 + E6 = E12 or 400 Trillion dollars, so that way to get rid of all workers over 50 is a horrible idea. That would increase the National Debt 5 fold.
