Just did a Google of “Murtha” “ABSCAM”, and found that he was one of the unindicted co-conspirators lured to the hotel by the FBI posing as Arab Sheiks. Offerred the money directly, Murtha was recorded as suggesting that the Sheik invest it in Murtha’s hometown rather than take the money directly. A quid pro quo was suspected, but no charges were brought.
Murtha’s a disgusting pantload for several reasons.
