Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare by Chuck Norris

Dirty Secret No. 1 in Obamacare
Townhall
by Chuck Norris
Health care reforms are turning into health care revolts. Americans are turning up the heat on congressmen in town hall meetings across the U.S.
While watching these political hot August nights, I decided to research the reasons so many are opposed to Obamacare to separate the facts from the fantasy. What I discovered is that there are indeed dirty little secrets buried deep within the 1,000-plus page health care bill.
Dirty secret No. 1 in Obamacare is about the government’s coming into homes and usurping parental rights over child care and development.
It’s outlined in sections 440 and 1904 of the House bill (Page 838), under the heading “home visitation programs for families with young children and families expecting children.” The programs (provided via grants to states) would educate parents on child behavior and parenting skills.

The bill says that the government agents, “well-trained and competent staff,” would “provide parents with knowledge of age-appropriate child development in cognitive, language, social, emotional, and motor domains … modeling, consulting, and coaching on parenting practices,” and “skills to interact with their child to enhance age-appropriate development.”

Are you kidding me?! With whose parental principles and values? Their own? Certain experts’? From what field and theory of childhood development? As if there are one-size-fits-all parenting techniques! Do we really believe they would contextualize and personalize every form of parenting in their education, or would they merely universally indoctrinate with their own?
Are we to assume the state’s mediators would understand every parent’s social or religious core values on parenting? Or would they teach some secular-progressive and religiously neutered version of parental values and wisdom? And if they were to consult and coach those who expect babies, would they ever decide circumstances to be not beneficial for the children and encourage abortions?
One government rebuttal is that this program would be “voluntary.” Is that right? Does that imply that this agency would just sit back passively until some parent needing parenting skills said, “I don’t think I’ll call my parents, priest or friends or read a plethora of books, but I’ll go down to the local government offices”?
To the contrary, the bill points to specific targeted groups and problems, on Page 840: The state “shall identify and prioritize serving communities that are in high need of such services, especially communities with a high proportion of low-income families.”
Are we further to conclude by those words that low-income families know less about parenting? Are middle- and upper-class parents really better parents? Less neglectful of their children? Less needful of parental help and training? Is this “prioritized” training not a biased, discriminatory and even prejudicial stereotype and generalization that has no place in federal government, law or practice?
Bottom line: Is all this what you want or expect in a universal health care bill being rushed through Congress? Do you want government agents coming into your home and telling you how to parent your children? When did government health care turn into government child care?
Government needs less of a role in running our children’s lives and more of a role in supporting parents’ decisions for their children. Children belong to their parents, not the government. And the parents ought to have the right — and government support — to parent them without the fed’s mandates, education or intervention in our homes.
Kids are very important to my wife, Gena, and me. That’s why we’ve spent the past 17 years developing our nonprofit KICKSTART program in public schools in Texas. It builds up their self-esteem and teaches them respect and discipline. Of course, whether or not they participate in the program is their and their parents’ choice.
How contrary is Obamacare’s home intrusion and indoctrination family services, in which state agents prioritize houses to enter and enforce their universal values and principles upon the hearts and minds of families across America?
Government’s real motives and rationale are quite simple, though rarely, if ever, stated. If one wants to control the future ebbs and flows of a country, one must have command over future generations. That is done by seizing parental and educational power, legislating preferred educational methods and materials, and limiting private educational options. It is so simple that any socialist can understand it. As Josef Stalin once stated, “Education is a weapon whose effects depend on who holds it in his hands and at whom it is aimed.”
Before so-called universal health care turns into universal hell care, write or call your representative today and protest his voting Obamacare into law. Remind him that what is needed in Washington is a truly bipartisan group that is allowed an ample amount of time to work on a compromise health care law that wouldn’t raise taxes (for anyone), regulate personal medical choices, ration health care or restrict American citizens.

Wild Thing’s comment……
Total control means total control! The left wing Democrats want them schooled in left wing dictatorial indoctrination.
This proves once again this bill has very little to do with health care.

I watched part of Specter’s town hall and turned Obambo’s off as it seemed scripted and the questioner’s planted. That was my own observation, not anything I heard from FOX or others.

Glenn Cassel AMH1(AW) USN RET says:

I did watch part of it, mostly the one genlteman who got up in sphinchter’s face and got loud. And old benedict arlen had that “deer in the headlights’ look on his face. Evidently, he wasn’t quite prepared for someone to really give it to him.
On the SEIU, here in Wichita, the city counsel voted on a new budget. Cuts are being made in a lot of services and areas. One department that is going to have a large number of layoffs is Parks and Recreation. The grass will be mowed by local businesses under contract. Guess who represents the parks workers?………..The SEIU. The local union boss was on the news whining and crying about it. This town runs on the aircraft industry and when that industry goes downhill, everything gets hit. With about 10,000 aircraft workers laid off or downsized, tax revenues fall. I am one of those laid off aircraft workers.
But he acted as if the future of the City of Wichita hinged on his union. The guy was a confirmed obamaroid.

Lynn says:

That was one of the things I picked up on right away–them being able to come into my home any time they want and show me how to be a good parent. No–I know how already. A good parent doesn’t sweat the small stuff, doesn’t panic at the sight of blood or hearing the word, “oh-oh” after hearing the toilet flush, knows how to referee a fight between siblings and pretty much lets it slide when times are good. A good parent also knows when to administer discipline and guidance. I don’t need a teacher in those respects, thank you very much. The goon squad can stay out of my personal affairs.

I have to mute the TV everytime they start Arlen’s WAIT A MINUTE WAIT A MINUTE…Arlen, your life is now measured in minutes…get a friggin clue.
McCaskill is trying to gain favor by acting moderate at her meetings, but she’s still a condescending witch who will vote party line no matter what.
David Scott has that swatiska painted on his office sign. That is all over the place. Prove to me that that wasn’t painted by a libtard…although I will admit there are definitely nuts on both sides. It’s just something they would do, like the Obamanuts vandalizing cars in Florida last year trying to make it look like Hillarycats did it.
I’m going to say this everyday, though. I really am feeling encouraged. We surround them, and it’s apparent the vast majority of the opposition to the liberal agenda is a whole lot more adept at understanding what’s going on.

Mark says:

As WT says, this is not about Health Care, although Health Care is the trojan horse that will get them literally in the door, it is all about control and limiting our Freedom and Liberty.
Yesterday at the Townhall meeting , the attitude of the peasants, me included, was anger, not just pissed off anger but anger from the gut, deep down, John Galt anger. The people understand what it takes to make this country work and a ‘hand-out’ is not what they are looking for. They want responsibility and the PORMISED transparency of Government. They don’t want nor do they need a nanny state coming into their lives and telling them, how to run their lives and raise their Children, making good Nazi’s for the ‘Obamaroid'(Good one Glenn).
From what I saw, these people, me included, want nothing more than to be left alone and able to freely follow our own path to happiness, whether making sawdust or wooing the girl next door. Bottomline, it’s our life. Leave us the F*** alone or we will make noise more noise than you ever thought possible. If anyone other than Team Theodore is reading this, We can Rock and Roll, too.

Jim says:

When this get’s widespread coverage, this bill is toast. I can envision the Fedzilla employee going to a mom with young children and dropping off inspirational books about baby Barack. Or a mom of a teenager getting a book about teen rebellion featuring Barack, and an application to send your misguided son/daughter to Community Organizing Camp. It would be for their own good, of course.

Rhod says:

These clowns are batshit crazy. They make the old Stalinist Politburo seem like experts. It’s a surprise to me, too. I used to worry that we had competent totalitarians in Congress, who would have to be defeated by subtle logic and disclosure. This could be a lot simpler and much more direct. Before this is over, the streets of DC will be full, and this time I’ll be there.

TomR says:

You can probably pull out any few pages of either the House version or the Senate version of that damn health bill and find hidden or even overt government intrusion into our lives.
This health bill, along with the proposed Cap and Trade bill will control all aspects of our personal lives from the government vaccines we must take to the times a day we can flush our toilets. As Mark states these bills are about government controlling us.
I don’t know if these bills will pass or in what modified versions. I know that a lot of citizens are awake and raising hell about them. Wait until the gun bills are let out of committee for passage. That will be the best chance for a true revolution.

cuchieddie (Obama Hater) says:

TomR, I’m gonna bring the guillotine and we’ll just take care of business. And as the young lady in Pennsylvania said yesterday, these clowns have awakened a sleeping giant. We are the silent MAJORITY and we will no be trampled on.

Jack says:

Remember the Maersk Alabama, Captain Richard Phillips and his crew? We are just like they were, the SEIU are the Somali Pirates, Congress and Obama are their sanctuary. We’re talking, they are not listening. Dilligaf!!! Bust a cap.

Jim says:

Thank You pontiff. I didn’t know that until today. I sent the link to my son at Camp Liberty. The 1st Cav’s ‘Daily Charge’ newspaper has a daily Chuck Norris funny in it. This will help put Mr. Norris’ life in perspective.
