No Nancy Pelosi It is NOT Insurance Co.’s That Are Immoral …YOU ARE!

Insane Nancy Pelosi

.

Sunset Boulevard – 1950 – Final Scene…LOL Pelosi reminds me of this scene.

Pelosi lashes out against insurance companies
WASHINGTON
Reuters
U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday ramped up her criticism of insurance companies, accusing them of unethical behavior and working to kill a plan to create a new government-run health plan.

“It’s almost immoral what they are doing,” Pelosi said to reporters, referring to insurance companies. “Of course they’ve been immoral all along in how they have treated the people that they insure,” she said, adding, “They are the villains. They have been part of the problem in a major way. They are doing everything in their power to stop a public option from happening.”

Wild Thing’s comment………
Nancy has no credibility to talk about the lack of ethics. What an embarrassment she is to our country.
No Nancy, what YOU are trying to pull on the citizens of the sovereign states of America, is against our Constitution…. !
Those freaks in San Francisco should give her walking papers.

….Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

The dim-a-crits are trying to make the insurance companies out as the bad guys because they make money once in a while. The left wing just can’t handle anyone getting any money….unless of course it is them getting some one else’s money.
Ya know, I am 67 years old and I have watched politics since I was old enough to vote. There have been a lot of politicians over the years that I didn’t like and a couple of presidents that disgusted me. But this is the first time that I am totally disgusted with the whole damn bunch and think that the best thing to do with Washington DC is just to pull the plug and flush em down the drain.

BobF says:

Funny how she had no problems taking campaign contributions from them.
The insurance companies are a business and their purpose is to make money. If the didn’t make money, they would close the doors.
To me, this health care things comes down to the typical Democrat doctrine of that you’re not responsible for yourself. You’re not responsible to ensure your health care, it’s someone else’s responsibility.

Mark says:

If we can defeat this Health Care and Cap and Trade, then there would be a good chance to flush them all down the drain. If not, then it will take some force to rid ourselves of this mess.
The leaders of that party, has shown nothing but contempt for the rest of us, by not holding a Town Hall meeting and ignoring what we are screaming.
After signing the Constitution, Benjamin Franklin was asked by a woman on the street,” What have you given us, sir?” Franklin responded,”A Republic, if you can keep it.”
Now is the time for Americans to stand up and be counted and force our Congressmen and Senators to do as they were elected to do, not to make it up as they go along.
The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money. Margaret Thatcher. This I think is the point we are at now.

Lynette in Australia says:

Like it or not, health insurance companies are a large part of a bad problem. In Australia one of our largest insurers (Medibank Private)was once a non profit organisation. They only increased fees to match the ongoing rising cost of medical & hospital stay costs. Since changing to a profit based insurer our premiums have gone through the roof. Now our government is taxing all profits that the companies make. One of the thngs I totally resent is that many of these health insurers engage in sports sponsorships, like Tennis and Football. The whole concept of medical insurance and it’s intended purpose has become corrupted. A nations most precious assests is the health of it’s population. Politicans of all persausions have lost sight of the responsibilities they bear in servicing their populace with attainable health services and affordable insurance cover. This is not just a problem in the US. It is the same here in Australia and probably even worse in the UK. If you really want to stop the rot we need a return to not for profit health schemes and a total overhaul of the drug industry as well. Corruption is rife in the drugs industry too….and many of our doctors cannot resist their covert offerings.
For those of you that don’t know, I am now a retired RN and have worked in the Australian hospital system for decades….and believe me. The whole system is about to collapse if we don’t get corruption, nepotism and kickbacks under control in all key areas of medical health.

Lynette in Australia says:

Oh – and btw, the treatment of cancer is an all devouring industry in itself. When you turn something as serious as life saving medical treatment into a $$$ earner, it feeds, no, prey’s on those who are so desperate to live. I find the whole concept utterly distasteful & immoral. Yes there are compassionate individuals working in the system – but the system itself is geared for profit….the bottom line it all that counts…for the directors and the shareholders.

Jack says:

Lynette has a point. My very own former employer ARCO was was privately owned then went publically owned, it’s stock shares were in the tank for years but when oil was discovered at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska in 1967, the organization was all but broke. When I hired on we cinched up our belts and forfeited raises and benefits to survive while they floated more shares on the market. Not enough, they turned to Exxon for ‘silent backing’ to develop the east side of the oil field, BP & Standard had the west side. The 51% share Exxon had controlled the purse and ultimately all decisions that 49% shareholder ARCO made. With pressure to buy back shares, pay higher dividends to share holders ARCO lost sight of the objective, the oil business, it took out it’s frustration in human tolls of layoffs, reorganizations every 16 to 18 months and the constantly on your ass for more productivity with an ‘aging workforce’. The last 8 years I worked there we were not part of the budget and were ‘cost overrruns’, treated as contract labor because we were not to be included in the production budget. Orphans in our own home per se!!! Not chickenshit at all, they just had henhouse ways.
Profits after amortization and payoff of initial loan costs plus, corporate raiding by Boone Pickens and the threat of windfall profit taxes by the Democrats forced higher dividends, increased reckless spending and ultimately bankruptcy, Exxon bailed out and ARCO is now owned by BP. I spent the best years of my life to retire from an all American Company that is now foreign owned, it could be worse, it could be Shell, now that would be an insult, Ho Chi Minh’s personal oil company. The safest way to travel in Vietnam was behind the Shell oil truck, ever wonder how many payoff dollars shell spent on the Communists, or today on paying off the Muzzies?
We want to make money in the stock market yet we demand a good product, sometimes those priorities are in gross conflict all the while we’ve supported and tolerated a totally non profitable inflated auto industry for over 30 years to keep one form of socialism alive under the guise of American Made. An artful deception at best.

TomR says:

Most of us have horror stories about insurance fraud or corporate greed. However, for Pelosi to accuse anyone else of immorality is the pot calling the kettle black. Her “most ethical Congress ever” is corrupt to the core. Pelosi herself has steered taxpayer money to her private holdings and personal friends. Pelosi understands immoral behavior because her political career was built on it.

Bob A says:

“Nancy has no credibility to talk about the lack of ethics. What an embarrassment she is to our country.”
She’s just a team player, on the Osama Obama team of course.
From Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, Obama health advisor.
Emanuel, however, believes that “communitarianism” should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those “who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . .
IMO members of congress and the Obama administration are not and will not be participating citizens, at least in a positive sense. Their mindset prevents it. They should have theit health coverage terminated and then see if they change their tune.

Rhod says:

Pelosi has fantasies of being Aunty Entity in Bartertown.
I worked for The Hartford from 1972 to 1985, as a programmer and then analyst in claims; then for the actuaries before I got out to work with machines and metals. I wound up with dirty hands instead of a dirty conscience.
These companies invariably use the term “losses” for its pejorative value, when they’re simply referring to claims against policies. They can still be making a profit, because they don’t rely upon premium income for profit, they rely on investment income.
They also use the premiums-to-loss ratio to show how much money they pay out, or “lose”, when losses can exceed premium income, even though their investment income is excellent and their not “losing money”.
The means by which these bastards fudge and/or manipulate the language to deceive and equivocate are numberless. I used to write systems for statutory reporting requirements, and saw the inside of the figure-massaging that goes on.
The trouble is, the government is even worse than insurance companies in outright deception, corruption and abuses of power. Government realignment of insurance company priorities is like injecting the plague pathogen to cure the flu. All big systems are corrupt.

Jim says:

Jack, I can only imagine a government doctor would be as competent as those dufus’s at MCC. I’m sure you have some horror stories of medical treatment on the North Slope.
The left always uses the same tactic. Villify the opponent. And like any good con-man, will play on the mark’s (citizen’s) greed in order for the con to work. I’m really surprised that there aren’t any strings attached to this clunker rebate. Something hidden in the fine print.

Mark says:

They keep looking for people to blame and convince the public that the Health Care system is completely broken. This was Rangles ‘slanted view’ this morning. If it was completely broken why are people still going to the doctor, hospitals. There are faults but it is the best system in the world and really they know it. But total control can not be had until cap and trade and Health Care are under obama’s umbrella.
Except for the Military has the Government ever run anything that was a success ? Nixon took over Amtrak and it has been in default ever since. If these morons didn’t have such a hatred for making a profit it might change the equation, but until that time, GM and Chyrsler will likely fall the same way Amtrak has.
Without a profit margin, how can they expand the company, sans Government handouts. The price of labor keeps going up along with their benefits, which is how we got into this shape in the first place.

Jack says:

Yes I can relate a few Jim, 6 a year average deaths, mostly they died enroute. Some were tragically ugly. We had a doctor on staff but mostly that function was done by a medic, my personal favorite was a Korean war medic, he was a straight shooter. Money influences everything, it’s expensive to keep a full time doctor at a remote site, when they can pull down up to 300 grand in private practice. Remote site means isolation and 24/7 duty cycles, doctors simply won’t stay, they leave and get filled in by interim medical workers, just like Captain Hazelwood of the Exxon Valdez, you get the bottom of the lot just for the fee of their license. It’s no different in any profession, many ‘electricians’ often work under the master’s license. That means under Obama Care any one of us who can grease a palm or drop a little backsheesh into the union leader’s hand qualifies as a neurosurgeon.

Wild Thing says:

Thank you everyone so much for your input
about this. And your experiences.

Lynette in Australia says:

[Obama’s Health Reform Bill Contains The Same As The “T-4 ” Policy Of Hitler]
Is there any meaningful resistance coming from Christian, Muslim and Jewish organisations over this? I would imagine that they would be violently opposed to such a plan ever being introduced. It is clearly anti life, and anti religious too. That would be a turnup for the books….rare consensus coming from the three major religions on an issue that will effect everybody.
