Police called on retirees at senator’s LA office
SFGate
Police were called on a group of retirees who refused to leave Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s West Los Angeles office until she talked to them about health care reform.
Los Angeles police Sergeant Rich Brunson said Thursday that police lured the group of seven outside somehow, then locked the building’s doors behind them.
Brunson had said earlier that eight people were being taken into custody, but corrected himself after getting new details from officers on the scene.
A spokeswoman for the 55- to 87-year-old activists said they arrived at Feinstein’s office around noon and remained in her conference room more than six hours.
Feinstein spokesman Gil Duran says staff offered the retirees an in-person meeting with the senator during a Los Angeles visit next week but that they demanded to speak with her immediately.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Diane Feinstein needs to be reminded of just who works for who. I hope she keeps her word to these people, but I have my doubts.
….Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

They were only voicing their beliefs, which she has seemed fit to ignore. I guess she was scared by these little old grannies and grandpas. Now who could be frightened by a little old lady? Dianne, grow up. Quit acting like we’re going to hurt you. We aren’t. We just want our voices heard, too. So what if it isn’t what you want to hear, you have to listen. That’s one of things you were voted in for-to listen.
Good point Lynn, at least not yet.
What give them the idea they can do anything so much better than has been done in the Health Care system. This bill was written by a bunch of Schyster Lawyers who want nothing more than drag some doctor in to court and sue him for every penny he has.
Lynn, I agree. I don’t even trust her
to show up for the meeting she promised
them.
Mark, your right the lawyers could
care less.
