Obama ‘guarantees’ West Bank withdrawal
Palestinian officials rejoice at ‘new tone’ of White House
wnd
The Palestinian Authority received a guarantee from President Obama’s administration that understandings reached with Israel during U.S.-backed negotiations while President Bush was in office would be utilized as starting points for current and future talks with the Jewish state.
With new general Israeli elections scheduled for next week, the move could limit the incoming Israeli prime minister, since the PA can point to points of agreement during previous talks between Bush and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.
The PA officials, speaking on condition their names be withheld, said they were enthusiastic about the new tone of the White House and about recent meetings with Obama’s Mideast envoy, former Democratic Sen. George Mitchell. They said they believe that under Obama the Palestinians can extract from Israel concessions reaching “much further” than during talks held under the previous administration.
“Regarding all understandings achieved between the parties, the Obama administration told us they will give guarantees to carry them out,” said a top PA official.
“With Obama, the number of settlers to be removed from the West Bank will much be more important than 60,000,” said the PA official, referring to previous negotiations in which Israel expressed a willingness to withdraw from up to 94 percent of the West Bank and move about 60,000 settlers into central settlement blocks closer to Jerusalem.
Wild Thing’s comment……..
This will likely prove a strong test of Bibi’s will. Obama will prefer a peacenik line, but if Bibi is really determined and rallies Israelis, he can buck and maybe ( hopefully) Hussein Obama will back down. ( wishful thinking here)

Where’s the column on your chalkboard for U.S. blue states and organizations like CAIR, ACLU and others?
Many years ago I read a biblical study of some of the greatest empires on earth and their treatment of the Jews at the beginning of their empire and fall. It was interesting how they treated the Jews well at the beginning and then enslaved them at the time of their fall.
Alexander The Great was said to have gotten off his horse and bow before the God of Israel when he was read a prophecy concerning him. Alexander put Jews in high positions in the lands he conquered but after he died, his predecessor enslaved the Jews. Same thing with Egypt…read story of Joesph and then Moses.
Barack Obama can’t guarantee that he won’t appoint tax cheats or lobbyists to high government positions so why would anyone believe that he could guarantee any unjust Israeli West Bank withdrawal? Someone should suggest that Obama first guarantee with real and positive results the hundreds (if not thousands) of broken Arab and Muslim promises of peaceful coexistence with Israel before he opens his big Islamofascist terrorist-supporting mouth on what Israel should or shouldn’t do to protect it’s citizens and national security.
Barack Hussein Obama and his foreign policy team are providing aid and comfort to those who see this as the only Palestinian state that they will accept.

Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas was filmed this week at a PLO Central Committee meeting with an emblem that negates the existence of Israel as a backdrop. The PLO emblem includes the PA flag above a map which depcits Palestine replacing the entirety of the State of Israel.

Yes, we will know on 2/10 if Binyamin Netanyahu is elected, let us all say a prayer that he is. A far cry from B. Hussein Osama and other western politicians.
