Wild Thing’s comment……..
I am in LOVE, this photo of this adorable puppy. I want to hug the puppy so badly. giggle Hope you all enjoy it too. What a marvelous way to start the day.
My parents had a St.Bernard when I was born and I grew up with them. We always had a lot of animals, kitties , dogs, horses, etc. But always one of the dogs was a St. Bernard. When I went out on my own I kept up the tradition up until the last year before we moved from California to Florida. My last Saint passed away, and we stayed with the smaller dogs due to the hot summers here in Florida. But I still would love to get another one someday. The hard part is they seldom live past 8 years old. So of course I do my best to spoil them rotten giggle.
Animals are the very best people. ( big smile)

Nice picture WT!!!! I have a female Chocolate Lab that is about 2 years old now and she is one of the best dogs I’ve ever owned. Love dogs!!!!
Reminded me of our mascot in the RVN, an orphaned pup raised on beer and ‘C’ rats, old Boom Boom was perpetually pregnant, but if she headed for the bunker you’d best be right behind her.
I feel the same way about dogs WT, we had a Shar Pei from 1992 – 2006, best companion ever, well behaved and all business and a loyal family member. He went everywhere with us except on long flights, I made a padded platform for him to ride on that sat over the pickup’s transmission hump so he could ride without slipping off the seat when hard braking. Yeah he’d drool on my right leg too when asleep, I always carried a towel for that. He was with me in the bush and rode the Alcan 6 times, if my dog wasn’t welcome in a motel then I wasn’t either. He had an extensive ‘vocabulary’, knew the difference between a horse and a cow when going down the road, from a sound sleep I’d spout out to another driver ‘did you see that asshole’, he, like a jack in the box, would pop up to look at what I was talking about. They are far more intelligent than we give them credit for. For now I have a Mutt and Jeff pair to visit that are my daughter’s dogs, a huge Black lab and a miniature Daschund, the brainy one is the Lab, the Daschund is a loveable fool.
Very cute picture. Dogs, and cats, help keep us sane. They are good companions and remind us what loyalty is.
John, I love Labs too they are wonderful dogs.
Jack, that is so neat about Boom Boom and also your Shar Pei how you did things together. Love the other names too Mutt and Jeff. Animals are so great.
Tom they sure do. It is so funny how the two personalities of our dog and kitty blend into each others.
Your mentioning of the Saint Bernard you grew up with brings back memories for me. We had a Saint that taught my youngest daughter to walk. When she started pulling herself up to things she would grab a handful of his fur and pull herself up. He would stand there with her not flinching. She would take a few steps and fall but he always waited for her and they kept going. This went on until she was walking on her own with her Saint not far away.
Thank you for the memories. Oh by the way, my wife and I have a Saint now. She is the fourth we have had. We really love the breed.

We can’t afford a dog right now, and have an unfenced yard so it’s not practical anyway–but oh, how I miss it. The dachshund I had as a child lived to be almost 18. She was so sweet and funny.
I hope I can get a puppy for my son. He deserves to have the experience of living with man’s best friend.
HI Dave, nice to meet you. What a marvelous story about your Saint and your daughter learning to walk. They are so patient and loving.
I love hearing that you have your fourth Saint too. How wonderful, and thank you again for commenting and sharing.
Darth, big smile, thank you.
Trish, wow 18 that is really something. I hope you can get a puppy for your son too.
I agree, having a pet is something that adds to life and teaches us so much too. Cherished memories.
Thanks for sharing about your dachshund you had as a child Trish.
