Noah Craft and Michael Fratkin Play Doctor in Vicious Obama anti-McCain ad

McCain has already released 1,173 pages of medical records!!!! – Wild Thing

CBS News for complete article

The details of McCain’s health are contained in 1,173 pages of medical documents spanning 2000 to 2008 that his campaign made available to the Associated Press to make the case that he’s healthy enough to serve as president, as well as to counter the notion that he’s too old. McCain will turn 72 in August and would be the oldest elected president.

Among other medical issues outlined in the reports, McCain is praised for his cardiovascular fitness, described as “considerably younger physiologically” by a doctor after his performance on a heart stress test this year.

CBC’s Henry Champ said the report is good news for McCain.

“All in all, I would say at a minimum that is an ‘A’ grading,” Champ said, “and most people will be content to accept that he is healthy for the job.”

Wild Thing’s comment……….
Yes they are doctors but I would not go to a doctor that did not examine me and then put out some kind of a press release or video like this about my health. So Yesss to me they are BS doctors and dangerous as well to any patient that would even go to people like this.
Would someone remind me about the health records we got on “I never had sex with that women” Bill Clinton I don’t remember his ever showing anything to the public in 8 years.
How about records of Hillary’s health?
HOW ABOUT OBAMA’S?? The presidential candidate who hasn’t released his medical records is Obama, not McCain so I’m not sure why this guy is calling out for his medical records to be released. Does he have long-term effects from hard drug usage in past years?
Way to go, Ploufe and Axlerod! Imply that anyone over 70 has one foot in the grave, or (at least) Alzheimer’s.
That line of attack ought to play REALLY WELL to the gray panther set.
Oh, and don’t forget that seniors have one “affliction” that the youngsters don’t seem to be bothered with… they VOTE consistently.
I think McCain’s 96 year old alert, sharp mom, should smack the crap out of this guy.
What a pathetic attempt to attack an honored Veteran of the USA.

Now let’s check out this Noah Craft, M.D. shall we.
Let’s start first with his website
Noah Craft, M.D.
So he is a doctor at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
This idiot doctor diagnosed a patient without actually seeing, talking to, or examining that patient. Or without the blood tests and CAT scans or MRI’s.
Certifications:
Medical Board Certification: Dermatology, American Board of Dermatology, 2005
Soooo this doctor has forgotten that he’s only a dermatologist!
The Geffen connection is interesting. ( he is gay and has made his money in Geffen records,, American record executive, film producer, theatrical producer and philanthropist.etc)
The “Gay Mafia” is rather quietly playing a larger and larger role in Democratic politics.
They were one of the earliest groups behind Kerry, not because Kerry was gay, but because they saw him as the most gay-friendly of the dem candidates.
They were rather quietly, but hugely behind Hillary.
And Obama and his wife have catered big time to them and to their causes.

vancav says:

Craft is a comparative lightweight. His California license was issued in 2001, so he has been a doctor less than seven years. He is an associate professor at UCLA which gives him some, but not a whole lot of credibility. But he is at Harbor-UCLA (which doubled as “Rampart” in the series “Emergency”) in Torrance, and the pictures of him in his beer and wine tasting parties with his students gives one the impression that he still longs for his undergrad days. My bet is he thinks this will help him make a name with the left coast high rollers. However, if he had any hope of being a credible doctor, he sure ruined it by teaming up with Michael Fratkin, the other doctor in the ad.
Fratkin is a Grateful Dead/John Lennon loving ER doc from Eureka, California who has decided to eschew traditional healing arts and is now involved in palliative medicine. My guess is, in his case, medicinal marijuana is high on the treatment list. His website indicates that he is into shamanism and tribal dynamics. It gets much better and is a must read:
http://www.shiftinaction.com/declare/1989
http://www.openplans.org/people/gatito/profile
What qualifies Fratkin to be the lead physician questioning McCain’s health? Is it is education. Probably not. He graduated from the University of Utah in 1993. While not the worst med school in the country, in most fields it fails to rank in the top 40. Fratkin also seems out of place in Salt Lake City, suggesting his selection of the school was likely based on who would take him. Is it is steller achievement post graduation? Probably not. He is practicing in Eureka which is, like most communities its size, recruiting doctors from India because it is a dead end for most physicians. Pubmed lists only two publications, one of which was a poem dedicated to a patient who died which quotes the Grateful Dead. It does not appear he has been affiliated with academic programs. He has been sued at least once in the San Francisco County Superior Court for medical malpractice (possibly more, but the Humboldt County Superior Court is not on line). The fact that he is an internal medicine/emergency medicine specialist calls in question his qualifications to comment on McCain’s melanoma.
So why is he in the ad? He is a founder of Doctors for Obama, a group whose goal is universal health care, and interestingly, near immunity for doctors participating in the system. A better example of “bend over and say ahh” is difficult to find.

Mark says:

The implication of course is John McCain could drop dead any day now. Which is true, and so could these scumbags who made this despicable ad.
Then again, some left wing nutcase could kill obama by putting a hole in his heart with a 9mm too, or he could choke to death on some uncooked arugala his wife fed him, pity, or from the size of his over inflated ego.
Scare tactics is all we got here. And for a dermatologist to come out with a dire prediction like this his license should be yanked.
This nitwit ought to stick to giving Nancy Pelosi and John Kerry their Botox shots and stay out of real medicine

Trish says:

You’ve heard of junk science? This is junk medicine.
I do not believe that any reputable doctor would issue a public statement about a person without examining the patient. They did the same sort of thing with that “Palin put her unborn baby at risk” nonsense.
Boy, you try to say that to a leftie, though, and listen to the howls of outrage.

Wild Thing says:

vancav, thanks for the information.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, DITTO, and yes he should have his license should be yanked asap. I wish another doctor would go after him for this kind of thing.

Wild Thing says:

Trish, heh heh I would LOVE to say it right to a lefties face, up close and personal.

ratso says:

People should complain to the accredition agencies (AMA) about these 2 physicians violating patients’ right under HIPPA. While the letter of the law my not be directly violated, the spirit certainly was. John Dean dserves some blame too, but he is a phoney too.

Wild Thing says:

ratso yes they should, thanks for pointing out about Dean too, I had forgotten to mention that and it is important to note he is involved.
