President Bush and VP Cheney

President Bush has sharply criticized Moscow’s harsh military crackdown in the former Soviet republic of Georgia, saying the violence is unacceptable and Russia’s response is disproportionate.
Bush, in an interview with NBC, said:
“I’ve expressed my grave concern about the disproportionate response of Russia and that we strongly condemn the bombing outside of South Ossetia.”
Earlier, Vice President Dick Cheney said that:
“Russian aggression must not go unanswered, and that its continuation would have serious consequences for its relations with the United States.”
John McCain and Barack Hussein Obama
Moscow Times
McCain, an outspoken critic of Moscow, said it was clear that the situation in Georgia was dire.
“Today, news reports indicate that Russian military forces crossed an internationally-recognized border into the sovereign territory of Georgia. Russia should immediately and unconditionally cease its military operations and withdraw all forces from sovereign Georgian territory. What is most critical now is to avoid further confrontation between Russian and Georgian military forces. The consequences for Euro-Atlantic stability and security are grave. Tensions and hostilities between Georgians and Ossetians are in no way justification for Russian troops crossing an internationally recognized border,” he said.
Obama:
His first comment UNTIL he heard what McCain’s reaction was…………..
“I strongly condemn the outbreak of violence in Georgia, and urge an immediate end to armed conflict. Now is the time for Georgia and Russia to show restraint, and to avoid an escalation to full scale war. Georgia’s territorial integrity must be respected. All sides should enter into direct talks on behalf of stability in Georgia, and the United States, the United Nations Security Council, and the international community should fully support a peaceful resolution to this crisis.”
Here is how Obama reacted when he heard that Russian troops were attacking targets in Georgia:
Then AFTER Obama checked out McCain’s take Obama made another comment to try and sound more like a man I suppose.
“I condemn Russia’s aggressive actions and reiterate my call for an immediate ceasefire… Russia must stop its bombing campaign, cease flights of Russian aircraft in Georgian airspace, and withdraw its ground forces from Georgia.”
Wild Thing’s comment……….
Just a thought, maybe Cheney can invite Putin to a quail hunt. heh heh Hint hint to Cheney.
And as for Obama….LMAO good grief! The empty-suited marxist, ignorant as always, gave Russia the benefit of doubt, as fellow travelers always do. Until one of his empty suit handlers told him something else to say.
What, not a peep from the DSP and peacenikkers? The UN neither? Communist China neither? Hmmm?
Vlad ‘Impaler II’ Putin was KGB and still is. I told ya’ll this months ago. But W saw his SOUL? Atheists haven’t a soul nor a GOD! The COLD WAR never ended…It just went into stealth hibernation, eh? Dr. Strangelove, where art thou? FAILSAFE 2009? Back to your Starbuck $4 lattes libs… Can’t we all just get along with positive karma and good vibrations yoga? Dr. Zhivago adores blue eyed blondes and Aryan Russkies?
Bob-White, bob-white…Kaboooooom…Ooops sorry Vlad.
And Obama calls for an immediate ceast fire, and what is obama going to do if they don’t …have a hissy fit and stomp his feet. This guy would get us into a war by proxy and wouldn’t respond. He is stupid and very, very dangerous.
But here is another example of a country calling for help and so far we have offered, … Words. Hungary wanted our help too and held out as long as they could, until the Soviet Tanks rolled into
Budepest.
Most striking of all is the Czec revolt, 1968, MLK was killed, RFK assasinated, Democrat Convention riots, Vietnam was in the news constantly and Nixon wins the election. and Soviet Tanks rolled into Prague.
40 year later there are threats of violence at the convention by Recreate ’68, no assasinations…Yet, Another war is going on in Iraq, a Nixon-like candidate is running for office against an inept democrat, and now Soviet Tanks are rolling into Georgia.
Deje Vu or choreographed by Geroge Soros in an attempt to make the Bush administration look even worse than they have been portrayed by the left.
But this action by the Soviets may be the impetus needed by McCain to take a lead toward winning regardless of what Bugg-eyed Lindsey is doing.
America can’t do anything but scold and talk. Our military is committed. We have no reserve. Actually, this invasion of Georgia is exactly what the UN and NATO were formed to address. We see how useless both those entities are without US money and might.
Russia gets a free ride out of this, just like ’56 and ’68. Nothing we can do. Maybe threaten to send Michelle Obama to call them racists. Georgia is on their own.
Bush, Rice and Cheney are nearly as bad as Obama on this one. Our credibility in the world is now crap, and the war in Iraq might grow worse.
Even worse, the Euros have more to fear in the short term than we do, and they’re drinking their lattes and clucking in the cafes about it. Screw them. Russia will gorge on Europe and the sissies will squeal but do nothing.
What a mess.
This is a mere training excersize for the Soviets…Is Poland next… then what.
The red’s look and see a familiar friend in Congress, their generous deal at Potsdam in 1945, the negotiated truce at the 38th parallel, The abandonment of counter revolutionaries trained and outfitted by the US to bebetrayal by the president then left to be slaughtered at the Bay Of Pigs, the removal of U.S missils from Turkey in response to the Soviet deployment of nukes in Cuba, The escalation of Vietnam and the subsequent capitulation and abandonment of our allies, The USS Pueblo and the Mayaguez, the feeble response when 52 U.S. diplomats were held hostage for 444 days in Iran, The USS Cole and on through our own 9-11 attack now this incident of outright aggression in Georgia.
Vladimir Putin and Dmitri Medvedev are grinning from ear to ear, those pussies in Congress have gone on a 5 week vacation. Jorge’s saying ‘stop that’.
Russia is a basketcase, with a population declining every year from its current 142 million. One of the shortest life expectancies in the world, one of the highest rates of alcoholism, and a systemic inability to find military enlistees without drug, alcohol, illiteracy or mental problems.
The country has lost the industrial ability to expand its military and hardware, even though they squeal about their plans to modernize. 60% of Russian’s exports are oil and gas, accounting for over 20% of GDP. By comparison, Poland has 75% fewer people than Russia, and a GDP 15% larger. California probably produces more of importance in Marin County than the entire effing country of Russia produces in a year.
Strategy Page calculates that Russian arms exports are a generation behind Western materiel, but cheap and backed by service contracts…which the Russians fail to fulfill. If you ask me, and this isn’t PC, Russia Darwinized itself over 75 years of communism. Everyone with talent, ambition and initiative ran away, or was imprisoned or killed. What’s left is stupid, brutish, vicious, jealous, resentful and ignorant.
They’re goddamm troublemakers, with their filthy fingers in every trouble spot. Until the world reealizes that the city of Mosul is more beneficial to the world than all of Russia, and takes the necessary action, Russia will behave like a gang of punks and bullies.
Darth, good one, your right, all that kissing up to Putin encouraged him and now he is laughing at Bush as Bush tries to get Putin to calm down. Putin has NO respect for Bush and his wishes at all.
Mark, exactly, words….like that will put Putin shaking in his KGB boots. This is not the time for the good ole boy smiles, it is the time to show we give back in friendship to those that truly have been our allies and friends.
Bye Bye Putin!
Tom that is so true and pathetic too. The usless UN is not good for anything to begin with and then when and if they do anything it is only because we take the bull by the horns. Like you said….” US money and might”.
Tom, hahahaha I just saw this again…..”threaten to send Michelle Obama to call them racists”. good one. She can be pretty scary all on her own.
Rhod, it really is a mess I agree and how big this can get is scary to me. I worry about our guys in Iraq and Afghanistan and how it will effect them as well.
Jack, yes and I heard Bush said some more today, but there is that but words and not being taken seriously at all by Putin. He must have had that quote by Bush about seeing his soul put on a plaque in his office for some laughs.
Rhod thank you for the information from the Strategy Page. I agree with your statement too and never be concened about being PC on here. That is why it says….PC Free Zone. heh heh
Yes all those worth their weight have left and on to greener pastures for places they can be appreciated. I would have done the same thing if I was a scientist etc.
I keep thinking of those posts I did on here with the graphics of even the roads in Russia and how awful they were.
Mark, that could be it too, first Georgia and then what country is next.
