Democrats Blocked Drilling In ANWAR Every Year After Bill Clinton Vetoed Bill

The bears use the pipe lines like their private highway – they love it because it’s warm on their toes.

FOX News Poll: Americans ‘Energized’ for Action
Fox News
The national poll was conducted for the FOX News special “America’s Future: Do We Have Enough Energy?” airing on FOX News Channel on Saturday at 9 p.m. ET and on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET and 11 p.m. ET.
After taking the body blows of higher energy prices, Americans seem more willing than ever to fight back with bold initiatives. For example, just over three-quarters (76 percent) support immediately increasing oil drilling in the United States — a position recently espoused by presumptive Republican nominee John McCain. More than seven in 10 Democrats (71 percent) also hold this view.

As gasoline prices move well past $4 per gallon, Americans seem stunned — but also ready to take action — according to the latest FOX News poll.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
If this chart is close to how citizens feel, I would think the Congress would wise up and be forced to give in from their agenda of Nationalizing Oil Companies, and the rest of their baloney about oil they keep trying to force on all of us.
The solution is so simple and starring our politicians in their faces.

Lynn says:

Bubba had too much influence. He actually believed he was the savior of America. And now Obamanation thinks he is. I am so tired of paying through the nose! I don’t think the government should have gotten involved in the first place with big oil anyway. But they have to have their hand in everything! And we can’t drill until we build some refineries and the minority ecogeeks aren’t going to let us. We might hurt some poor little animal.

darthcrUSAderworldtour07 says:

I could tell by the photo that WT is a BEARS fan. Uncle Sam exports 60% of our oil to the JAPS (I am not ‘PC’ like the editor of ‘And Rightly So’ is)… and we won the war in the Pacific? And we supposedly make up the loss with Canada exporting their oil to US? CRUDe behavior and stupidity WT! Pave The Whale and Move Over Caribou! – Hooked On Obamics: YES WE CAN’T!

TexasFred says:

PCness is going to be the DEATH of America, we can either speak out, raise ALL manners of hell and force congress to open up the drilling of the oil reserves we have, more than enough for the NEXT 100 years, or we roll over and continue making the ragheads rich…
I’m not PC either…

BobF says:

I wonder how many polar bears are actually in the ANWR? Being so cold, their may not be much game (food) available.

TomR says:

Maybe if gas hits $12 a gal even the ecomaniacs will demand we drill for oil. Congress needs to lift the drilling restrictions and step aside. The oil companies will provide all the energy we need soon. And, I include nuclear energy in that statement. We can also throw up some windmills and solar panels to please the eco-nazis.
I also don’t understand why we guarantee the Japenese a percentage of our Alaskan oil production. Are the Japanese providing combat military forces in support of our two wars or are the Japanese doing some other great deeds for the US? The Japanese are definitely a friend but they have had a free ride since WWII. We helped build their economy and they profited handsomely from our wars in Korea and Vietnam.

Tincan Sailor says:

I just read that 20 years ago there were around
10,000 Polar Bears, now the count is around 20
to 25,000.As for Nuclear power my old company
Pacific Gas&Electric runs Diablo Canyon in
California. It has run trouble free for 25 years
and now has new turbines and set for another 25.

Mark says:

At every turn the democrats have blocked any effort to drill for oil.. The why is what I can’t figure out. And they are still blocking it.
On Fox news yesterday they interviewed people in Washington, and a couple said we should use less and not be so selfish…excuse me, this is American where anything is possible. We have the resources available just not the will to use them.

Jack says:

Love the pic’s of the bears on the pipeline WT. I saw ANWR once.
Just like the rigs offshore in the gulf, the pipeline and the facilities on Alaska’s North Slope are a haven for wildlife. The bears hang out there because that’s where the other critters hang out, lot’s of Arctic Ground Squirrels, AKA Parka Squirrels live there, food for the grizzly bears, they will climb right up your body and take food from your hand.
As for polar bears, I’ve never seen one or heard of one ashore in 20 winters there, ARCO/BP has a seawater treatment plant in the Arctic Ocean, a ship sunk at the shoreline 13 miles from the base camps, polar bears are a threat to the personnel there.
I have seen polar bears in the spring on shore near ARCO/BP’s Central Compressor plant that sets some 1500 ft inland from the Arctic Ocean on Prudhoe Bay. The polar bears come ashore in spring when the ice is getting soft and feed on the seals. Everything is a meal, they will kill any fox or wolf trying to feed on their seal kill and proceed to munch on them too.
Barren land grizzly bears come out of hibernation and are all over the place and like the polar bear they have no fear of man, they predate on Ptarmigan, Parka Squirrel, young Arctic Foxes and sick or weak Caribou.
The pipeline and facilities provide shade and sanctuary from the predators when the caribou migrate and at times its a sea of the animals for as far as you can see. I’ve seen many a cow drop her calf close enough to touch them, to do so meant getting fired immediately.
Most of those Dummycrats and RINO’s in Congress have never been outside their home state or Washington DC and don’t have a clue beyond the political hype the environmentalists promulgate.
Congress is the problem and most if not all have never set foot in ANWR, content to lock up most of the State of Alaska.
You can bet the Russians can and will drill in the Arctic just like the Chinese are doing offshore in the lower 48.
Where was the environmentalist’s outcry when the Soviet Unions 48″ pipeline failed. spewing oil all over the tundra due to piss poor design, construction, haste and sorry at best stewardship?
The envirowhacko’s only got alarmed over Chernobyl because it served their goal of curtaining nuclear power growth in the US. Scare is their favorite tactic.
Most people are unaware of a sodium cooled Plutoniun Breeder Reactor melting down in Siberia long before Chernobyl, mid 60’s era, it was a cold war secret. Not a whisper from the enviro’s, yet they misconstrued many US incidents as nuclear accidents when they were not, they were mechanical or chemmical accidents in a nuclear facility. The media is a pliant facilitator of the lies.
Drill now!!! Drill offshore, onshore and in ANWR, utilize some of our vast coal resources and let’s get some of those nuclear plants up and running. Either that or have the UN dictate your every energy use from the air you breath, the water you drink, your lighting, heating and transportation needs, even the amount and quality of the food you eat. The greenies really are dystopian soylent greenies.

Robert says:

You know, I’d have thought the Nuclear Power Plant poll numbers would have been higher in favor.
France is almost totally powered by Nuke’s Iran, sitting on BILLIONS of oil reserves is trying to build Nuclear plants for power. (/sarcasm)
IMO the risk is worth the reward, worry about the china syndrome type or the chernoble (Spelling wrong I know)is valid and a concern that can be mitigated by technology. The advances in Nuke power safety have been huge.
The bad part is what to do with the Nuclear waste, I have a solution, IRAN or PALESTINE or SAUDI ARABIA or SYRIA….. just sayin.

Les says:

Jack said it best. “Congress is the problem” and they will continue to be the national energy problem and obstructionists as long as a stupid and suicidal electorate continues to reward them with reelection.
Bottom line, the United States deserves everything that happens to it, including becoming an economic third world country, as long as it refuses to safely exploit it’s own natural resources to support the high standard of living that we all enjoy and want to continue to enjoy.
So, come next November 4th, will the country act like sheep once again and reward Congress for their continued failure or will they vote the bastards out? Barack Obama and John McCain have done NOTHING, and will continue do nothing, to fix the energy problem and don’t deserve to be elected President or dog catcher for that matter.
I don’t see how a large turnover in Congress and a third party candidate elected President would be any worse than the energy and economic crash and burn path we are now on.

Wild Thing says:

Lynn I agree, our government has given way too much power to the enviros groups. They should have been laughed out of the lobbyists groups.

Wild Thing says:

Darth, haha yes I adore bears. And they said it was ok to drill. heh heh

Wild Thing says:

Texas Fred, I am for raising hell. hahaha
Your right PC is not a friend of America but an enemy. It has gotten way out of control and never should have happened in the first place.

Wild Thing says:

BobF, well we could feed democrats to the bears, nice and tasty for them I am sure heh heh.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, yes maybe if it goes high enough even the democrat votes will complain to their party to drill now.
I agree with what you said about Japan too.

Wild Thing says:

Tincan Sailor, thanks for the information. And that makes this even worse because the ones in Congress against all of this must have knoweldge of the bears population too and how great Pacific Gas & Electric runs. They ( the dems in congress) just want to keep telling lies and then not do anything that has been working so great.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, oh my gosh. Wow thanks for sharing about that.
Saying something like they said would be like telling a person hey you can live on one meal a day or even every other day you only need water.

Wild Thing says:

Jack, thank you, that is so interesting! I appreciate the input. I am learning a lot from you and everyone here.
Your so right, “Scare is their favorite tactic”.

Wild Thing says:

Robert, me too, I thought the Nuclear Power Plant poll numbers would be higher.

Wild Thing says:

Les, my hope is that the prices will drive the stupid to finally make waves. I am amazed how stupid those not wanting this truly are. Totally mindless idiots with no solultions but they keep bashing the common sense ones like drilling etc. amazing

Tincan Sailor says:

80 miles east of Fresno California is lake Wishon PG&E built what is called
Pumped storage. During the day water drops through a huge tunnel to hydro
turbines which generate power all day. Then late a night with surplus power
from Diablo Canyon the water is pumped back up into the lake to do it all
over again the next day. A 2 for 1 so to speak and the tree huggers tried their best to stop both projects. Goes to show you just can’t fix stupid…

Dennis says:

Drill…Drill….Drill…it is that simple. Obama says “we can’t drill ourselves out of this” B.S. Yes we Can!! I am sick and tired of the Lib’s destroying our country. We use to be proud of our oil industry and now according to the Lib’s we should be ashamed…we need to get back to basics and more Conservatives need to speak up and and stand up for what we Know is right. Obama will do nothing but make everything that much more expensive if he gets in. I would be willing to be that the day, if it comes, that congress lifts the ban on drilling you will see the price of oil drop dramatically! We need to come out in droves in Nov. and make sure this bastard doesn’t get in to or White House…God help us all if he gets in and again Drill…Drill…Drill that about sums it up!

Wild Thing says:

Tincan Sailor, thanks for sharing about that. Very true stupid can’t be fixed.

Wild Thing says:

Dennis that is so well said. It should be put on the front of newspapers every word!!!
I agree!!!!!
