Republican Presidential Debate at the Reagan Library
Time 8:00 EST
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation will host the final GOP presidential debate before the 2008 “Super-Tuesday” primary in California and several other key states. Mrs. Ronald Reagan will extend invitations to the front-runner GOP Presidential candidates to return to the Reagan Library for this final debate, which will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2008. The event will give voters one last opportunity to hear the GOP front-runner candidates discuss their positions in a debate format before casting their votes in the February 5, 2008 primary.
“Ronnie always believed that debates are a great way for voters to hear candidates discuss the issues,” said former first lady Nancy Reagan. “He would be so pleased that his Presidential Library is serving such an important role in the election process.”
FINALLY the FINAL debate? F’N fantastic!!! There was and still IS one and only one President Ronald Wilson ‘Dutch / Gipper’ Reagan! There is only ONE John Duke Wayne & one George Washington -period! God help US all!!!
The best thing that Romney can do from now on is to ignore John McCain and focus on his key priority issues, his specific plans for dealing with them, and back it up by stressing his directly related leadership executive accomplishments in the Olympics, business, and as Governor of Massachusettes.
McCain had leadership experience in the Navy, but as the saying goes, “What have you done for me now?”. McCain Feingold, McCain Kennedy, McCain Lieberman. Not a path to any CEO’s office.
If Romney acts like a President and leader with the public they will perceive him that way. Keep out of the gutter and the contrast to McCain, Clinton, and Obama will be vast and obvious. An accomplished leader and CEO vs. two empty suits and one empty pants-suit.
Darth, it felt so good to even get to see Nancy Reagan again. She looked well too. What a difference in Nancy Reagan and the beast from hell Hillary.
Les, I agree completely. I hope he does just that.
