If McCain or Huckabee Gets the Nomination, It Will Destroy GOP
BEGIN TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: Mark in Standish, Michigan, I really appreciate your holding on. Welcome to the program.
CALLER: Hello, Rush.
RUSH: Hi.
CALLER: Sorry to deviate from your monologue for just a minute, but you had a woman call yesterday that just frosted me to no end that if either Huckabee or McCain won the nomination she was going to sit the election out.
RUSH: Yeah.
CALLER: People like her, I coined a term, a call them TV Republicans, and it doesn’t stand for television, it stands for tunnel vision, because they need to take the blinders off and see the bigger picture. If they sit out the general election, the Democrat wins it by default, whichever one of the Three Stooges wins it. Guess what? In the next four years, there’s going to be probably one, maybe two Supreme Court vacancies come up. Do they really want one of the three bozos over there appointing the next two Supreme Court justices? Is Clinton gonna appoint another Ginsburg, or is she going to do another Scalia? Is Obama going to appoint another Justice Thomas or is he going to do somebody like Breyer or Stevens? Do they really want a liberal appointing the next two Supreme Court justices? They need to take the blinders off, Rush. They need to look at the bigger vision and quit being tunnel vision Republicans.
RUSH: I understand what you’re saying. I hate to tell you this, but she’s not alone. I’m here to tell you, if either of these two guys get the nomination, it’s going to destroy the Republican Party, it’s going to change it forever, be the end of it. A lot of people aren’t going to vote. You watch.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
The GOP is walking away from their conservative base and ticked because we won’t follow em down the path of destruction. So we will see what happens.

TomR says:

It is not just loyal Republicans the GOP(RNC) is urinating on. It is also that large army of Reagan Democrats, who are really mostly conservative independents. Those are the people who helped Bush squeek through his two wins. They help balance out the large block votes the Dems rely on, like welfare recipiants and unions.
This present presidential race with all the front running GOP candidates being RINOs is an indication of who the RNC hierarchy supports. The few true Conservatives get relegated to the back burner.
RIP GOP !

BobF says:

That’s why it’s so important that Conservatives VOTE during the primaries. The primaries are what choose the candidates.

Billy says:

I voted for Thompson in the Michigan primary yesterday. I was going to vote for Hunter, but I hedged my bet on the long shot figuring Thompson may hit his stride coming out of South Carolina. (one can only hope) I was very surprised at the amount of votes Ron Paul received in Michigan though, since everyone I saw going to the polls yesterday appeared to be driving their own car.

Jack says:

I believe Rush has called it right. When the GOP doesn’t care enough to bolster the ratings of the laggers in the race nor afford them access to the same media as the frontrunners they have already lost. Clear Politics has the clout and has dropped Hunter, he can’t purchase traction without the media coverage, his message being heard or through name recognition, but we knew that already from the support afforded to the candidates in the last election by the RNC. The RNC steering committee has a hand in seeing who gets their support, they have elected to stick with the RINO’s once again. We conservatives abhor the union practices and the strength of their PAC’s to elect their “Democrats” and Socialists for their special interests and not that of the nation but isn’t that the same thing the RNC is doing?

Les says:

If conservatives don’t make their voices heard loud and clear in the primaries then the choice for President may very well come down to either a Socialist or a RINO. Either way, RIP USA!

Wild Thing says:

Tom……they sure do and it is soooo obvious too.
“few true Conservatives get relegated to the back burner.”
I think it would kill them to get any news out about Duncan Hunter or even allow him in the debates lately. sheesh

Wild Thing says:

Bob it sure is important. We will be voting here in Florida on the 29th. If not before as they let us vote early.

Wild Thing says:

Billy, I was shocked, when I saw the votes Ron Paul got I just sat there stunned. How can there be so many stupid people in our country.sheesh

Wild Thing says:

Jack, AMEN to all you said.

Wild Thing says:

Les,exactly. I have been trying to get the word out there too. But even with talking to people etc. I get a lot of he can’t win stuff back at me. Or they want a rino.
