New Hampshire GOP Pulls Support For FOX Debate

New Hampshire GOP Pulls Support For FOX Debate
KCRG news
The New Hampshire Republican Party announced Saturday that it will no longer support a Republican candidate’s forum scheduled for Sunday on FOX.
Party officials decided to withdraw as co-sponsers after candidates California Rep. Duncan Hunter and Texas Rep. Ron Paulwere left uninvited.
Hunter posted only tiny percentage in Iowa disqualifying him under the criteria set by FOX, but remains in the race.
Having never received an initial invitation, Paul’s capture of 10% in Iowa Thursday, still did not convince organizers to allow his participation.
New Hampshire Republican Party Chairman Fergus Cullen released a statement Saturday making the separation official.

“The first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary serves a national purpose by giving all candidates an equal opportunity on a level playing field. Only in New Hampshire do lesser known, lesser funded underdogs have a fighting chance to establish themselves as national figures. Consistent with that tradition, we believe all recognized major candidates should have an equal opportunity to participate in pre-primary debates and forums,” wrote Cullen.

“This principle applies to tonight’s debates on ABC as well as Sunday’s planned forum on FOX. The New Hampshire Republican Party believes Congressmen Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter should be included in the FOX forum on Sunday evening. Our mutual efforts to resolve this difference have failed,” he continued.

“While we understand that FOX News continues to move forward it is with regret, the New Hampshire Republican Party hereby withdraws as a partner in this forum.”

Wild Thing’s comment………
I am ticked off, two debates doing this and in AMERICA!!!! Maybe this will force them to work it out and have the debate with Hunter and Paul.
Or not enough time to work it out not sure. But this is wrong in every way there is!
Cutting off candidates who are still in the race is not part of what a real Republic does.
If the others had any balls, they would all say “We support the NH Republican Party stance and will not debate unless all candidates are allowed in”
Hunter has the most experience and background to be president and is marginalized
I realize there is football, Yipeee!!! Maybe the ratings will be low for the debtes nd show them how we can watch one of America’s sports instead of being told we are only allowed their pick of debators.

….Thank you Les for the heads up about this.

My once beloved FOX News Channel has gone Hollywood via the E-Channel crapola! I could care less about Brit Spears and the Hollyweirdos, and now I only watch FOX for the Brit Hume Special Report at 6 p.m., and Chris Wallace FOX News Sunday. I view Lou Dobbs on CNN occasionally and C-Span and CNS on TBN. FOX too is going to the dogs – big time. Face it… the debates suck and are politically correct. We know their ‘PC’ answers before the candidates even reply. Pathetic!

Darth, you are sooooo right! Everything you said.

I watched the Repub. debates in between watching the rest of the deadskins vs. seahawks, and was not impressed with the current offfering of potential candidates.
Romney and McClain did nothing but exchange barbs for the whole debate, great presentation from those two. And McClain defended his Amnesty Bil, this is why he won’t get my vote.
Then there was Ron Paul, he made sense until he opened his mouth. His basic policy is to withdraw into a shell and mind our own business.
Hucklebeen seem to be in awe at just being at the debate but his stance on Illegal Immigration is the same as McClains, give them amnesty. McClain tried to say, it aint amnesty because they have to pay a fine. NOBODY, bothered to follow up with the obvious question , who is going to enforce the fine.
When Fred woke up, he made sense, if you break the law and you are allowed to stay then ‘thats Amnesty’ score some points for the good guys.
Guilliani hasn’t changed his position he was consistant with what he has been saying but that isn’t what the people are looking for.
Then came the question of Energy, here is where they fell flat on their face:
Hucklebeen wants it to be solved in 10 years and a big bonus for the ‘inventor’ who comes up with a car that can get 100 mpg …(Does this nit-wit even know what Energy is) Pie in the sky don’t ask me what for… thats hucklebeen
Fred and Guilliani were asked if he would tax the Big Oil companies, to punish them, …Question from Gibson, as if a Tax would make Big Oil lower their prices. This kind of logic is why we are in trouble.
McClain could only re-iterate the Bush policy on Energy and that global warming is a concern. But Senator, What are YOU going to do about it, how are YOU going to fix the problem.
These questions are never asked and we keep getting the same crap every term. We get cliche’s not real solutions. In other words these CANDIDATES are so smart, and we are so stupid they don’t want to bore us with the details. Well I have not heard one solution to the Energy crisis just more cliche’s and Oh we have a problem with global warming. The only solution Congress has offered is to raise my taxes. that is no solution.
Not one of the candidates offered to explore for new sources of Oil around our own country, we are not allowed to drill for oil therefore we must find a new Energy source, this whole idea is non-sense.
Not one said, anything about building new refineries to keep up with the demand. They want to become Energy independant by magic. Not by finding and refining our own. No by finding ALTERNATE sources. The Oil is in the ground wouldn’t it be cheaper to get it out and refine it here in the USA,… Naw of course not, we are not allowed to drill…remember ? OH yeah.
They all want Energy independance but haven’t got a clue of how to get there.
The N-word was only mentioned once by Romney, Nuclear, and it was like he used the real N word.
Ok send in the next bunch who want to be president. If I were a Personnel director I would keep looking for more Resumes. This bunch has not got a clue.
