WASHINGTON — The government says it will rewrite rules for penalizing employers of illegal immigrants to try to satisfy a federal judge in San Francisco who put the crackdown on hold.
U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer stopped the Bush administration last month from going ahead with enforcement of regulations requiring employers to fire workers if their Social Security numbers did not match records and the discrepancies could not be addressed in 90 days. In issuing the temporary injunction, the judge said the Social Security database contained errors that could have cost many legal workers their jobs, and the government did not properly study the effect of the rules on business.
Late Friday, Breyer agreed to a request from the administration to put the case on hold while it reworks the regulations _ a process bound to put off enforcement until the spring. The judge stayed proceedings until March 24, when the government thought it could have new rules ready on how to enforce immigration laws in the workplace.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Another infuriating obstruction for US from the 9th Circus .. they’re obsessed with making us a 60’s hippy, socialist, crime-ridden nation. I N F U R I A T I N G !!!

U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
and shall protect each of them against Invasion;”

Invasion: \In*va”sion\, n. [L. invasio: cf. F. invasion. See Invade.] [1913 Webster]
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.

SSgt Steve, CLC says:

I almost hate responding to this. The other bloogers are probably getting tired of reading/ hearing me.
Let’s work out a compromise…send and confine ALL illegals to the GAY BAY … opps … I mean SFRAN. G_d only knows that there is another group of human beings(?) that should ALL be sent there to live out their “Happiness” till the “Big One” comes. Opps…easy fellas, I was talking earthquakes.

Lynn says:

I want them sent packing back home.
Who ever came up with the stupidest idea on the planet that if you are illegal, but a child is born here, he’s legal, ought to have his nuts cut off and fed to him until he chokes!
That’s what has caused this problem in the first place.
When I was a kid, we walked beans, detassled corn, did all the jobs the so called Illegals are doing now and we were happy to have a few dollars to rub together to either save or spend how we chose. I had a cousin save up all of it, along with holiday and birthday money and on his 16th birthday, bought himself, with cash, a brand new Cadillac. God, he loved that car, and he knew he worked hard for it.
There are plenty of teens out here in Nebraska would would give their eye teeth to walk beans, detassle corn for a few bucks. Why won’t those farmers see that? Kids don’t need benefits either, most are under mom and dad’s plans.

BobF says:

Why are we, as a nation, allowing lawyers in black robes to circumvent our laws? These laws were written by legislatures elected by the people and signed into law by an executive elected by the people.
The job of the judicial branch is to interpret the laws in accordance with the Constitution, not make the laws or circumvent the laws.

Mark says:

Why do they have to re-write the law. There are plenty of laws already on the books to prevent this in the first place. …All that is needed is to enforce them.
This is a no brainer, but when you live in DC brains are not the included in the day to day business of running the country.
This is nothing more than to create more loop holes so these scumbag employers to skate around the law and still hire more and more illegals.
And they can’t figure out why the lettuce from California is loaded with E-Coli … Hell-oooooo

TomR says:

ONE Federal judge can stomp on the wishes of tens of million citizens. ONE Federal judge appointed for life, staying on the bench even if senile or demented.
I am very fed up with the judiciary whether it is Federal judges or various attorneys or some prosecutors. Way too many of these people take it on their own to illegally amend the Constitution, to change or batardize it’s provisions. Criminals are let looseand citizens are harassed.
Our elected representatives seem to lack the gumption and fortitude to act to rein in the judiciary. Could it be because so many of our elected ones are legal eagles themselves? Damn lawyers!

John says:

Just one more example of how much trouble our great nation is in!!! As long as these idiots, and those like them, are continually allowed to have their way, we will continue to see our “Freedoms” stripped away. What will it take to stop this craziness and get us back to where we were and belong? I hear a lot of people grumbling (and God knows I do my share!!) but I don’t see anything being done to change things!!! Old saying…..”If nothing changes – Then nothing changes”.

Jack says:

Impeach Breyer!!! Enough of his legislating from the bench.
U.S. Constitution:
Article I.
Section 1
Article III.
Section 1
Article VI
This is nothing short of U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer’s moral equivocation of a criminal felony act being treated as a mere misdemeanor. Breyer is aiding and abbetting crime. What is the difference between what he is doing and the person who is shielding a known murderer from justice? It’s considered a crime to break and enter anyone’s home, typically that’s called burglary – a felony, theft of personal property that’s a crime too, burglars are there to steal personal property, their selling of those stolen goods another felony. What the hell is the difference when some one breaks into your country intentionally to steal your jobs, to steal your possessions(taxpaid social benefits), to profiteer and send those profits(fencing stolen goods) back home with the help, encouragement and blessings of judge Breyer, George Bush, Congress and the Bank Of America? As long as it doesn’t directly affect them the politicians do nothing but exacerbate the problem, tie their amnesty of Illegal aliens to the total removal of all their Congressional, Judicial and Presidential retirement benefits and perks, if it’s good for the illegals it should be good for them too.

Nigel Greyman says:

Oh, right. I thought you supported illegal invasion. Let me just check. Yup, you support illegal invasion to the hilt, it’s all over your site.

Wild Thing says:

SSgt Steve, never ever would anyone get tired of your comments and that is a fact.
LOL love your comment.

Wild Thing says:

Lynn, I agree, ship them out of here. This nightmare is going to end up with 100 million illegals faster then we realzie.grrrrrrrrr

Jack says:

Nigel, I don’t think you are a fool. But then what’s MY opinion against thousands of others? If ignorance is bliss, you must be the happiest person alive. What happened, did run Siricou Raven run you off her site. I promise not to laugh at you only with you.

Wild Thing says:

Bob, what a mess this is, your so right. It is like upside down and backwards.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, I am glad you mentioned about the lettuce along with what else you said. That is a huge concern or it should be as well.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, damn lawyers is right, all of this goes against what I undertand is how our country used to be run. The we the people is disappearing so fast. The laws mean nothing to our leaders.

Wild Thing says:

John, I wish I knew. I know the 3 times we wrote, faxed and called our politicians to tell them not to vote for the amnesty it stopped it. But for how long.

Wild Thing says:

Jack, GREAT comment about Breyer. I agree with you!

Wild Thing says:

Jack, LMAO good one to Nigel Greyman.
