People seeing Saddam’s ghost in Baghdad public areas
India Daily
In a most bizarre stories ever heard, some people in Baghdad are claiming that they are seeing Saddam’s ghost in Baghdad public areas.
Sources say, this may be a plot by the Baathists to keep Saddam ‘alive’ among the Sunni communities. Some claim he is seen in restaurants, markets and so on. It is possible many Saddam look-alikes are now more prominent and people are mistaking these look-alikes as possible Saddam. It is also possible that Saddam was such a threat that people just cannot believe he is dead and not coming back.
None of these possible ghost sightings are confirmed by any reliable sources or Iraqi authorities.
Saddam Hussein was buried before dawn on Sunday in his native village of Awja, near Tikrit in northern Iraq, the head of his tribe and a family source said. Ali al-Nida, head of the Albu Nasir tribe, told Reuters the burial in a family plot took place in the early morning, less than 24 hours after the former president was hanged for crimes against humanity. He gave no further details.
Wild Thing’s comment…….
LMAO too funny. He was so nasty that the Devil kicked him out!?! My apolpgies to Casper the Friendly Ghost for my use of his body for Saddam.. hahahahahaha
well, if he’s hanging around in baghdad, I guess he’s not having an orgy in heaven.
There is a lot of debate going on in the Internet on how Saddam’s hanging was conducted. Many believe it was unprofessionally carried out, with what are suspected as Moqtada’s henchmen. The executioners were heard heckling and taunting Saddam right up til the end. Good god, even the top Nazi henchmen got an orderly demise at the end of a rope. But then again – finesse has never been part of the arab way has it? It’s a wonder they didn’t mutilate and dismember his body for good measure…….nice chaps those arabs!
As long as everyone remembers that the Iraqi people tried him and hanged him. Not the US.
I am beginning to think that the Arabs are the most superstitious people on earth!
bizarre
Ghost?
Now there are reports of Saddam’s ghost hanging around Baghdad. I didn’t realize that Arabs are superstitious. Wild Thing has the story….
“I am beginning to think that the Arabs are the most superstitious people on earth!”
Beth, I think you are right!
Saddam was seen in a nightclub in Vegas, having his ass kicked by Elvis.
There is a translation of Saddam’s last words to go along with the underground video and the taunts before and after he went through the gallows trap door, that our gutless media will not publish. The source I had has since pulled their news piece. I saved the article here are the chants: Chants
Saddam is seen being led on to the death platform by hooded executioners. The waiting noose hangs from a pulley bolted to the gallows’ rough concrete ceiling.
The dark room is lit by the flare of flashbulbs as onlookers photograph the gruesome spectacle.
There is a rising chant from the crowd as the grim scene unfolds, which we have had translated:
ONLOOKERS: “May God bless Prophet Mohammed and his family, and curse his enemy.”
The chant changes…
ONLOOKERS: “Muktada! Muktada! Muktada!”
This refers to Muktada al-Sadr, a Shia cleric leader and a direct opponent of Saddam. It would have been a galling taunt to the dictator.
ANOTHER VOICE: “Go to hell!”
ONLOOKERS (still chanting): “Long live Mohammed Bakir al-Hakeem.”
This is another Shia leader who was killed in a car bomb attack outside a mosque in Najaf in 2003.
SADDAM (With the rope around his neck, he twice repeats this phrase): “I too bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and I too bear witness that Mohammed is his prophet.”
By this time the dictator has been kept standing on the platform with the noose tight round his neck for 45 seconds before suddenly, mid-prayer, the trapdoor springs open and he plunges to his death.
ONLOOKERS (chanting): “May God bless prophet Mohammed and his family, and curse his enemy.
Again, the chant changes…
ONLOOKERS: “The tyrant is dead! May God curse him!”
Then there is a voice in the background from someone who appears to be one of those in charge.
OFFICER: “Leave him for three minutes. Everybody move to the back.”
As the world shuddered with relief at his historic execution, a witness revealed: “We heard his neck snap instantly and we even saw blood on the rope.”
Sami al-Askari, a prominent politician close to the Iraqi Prime Minister, added: “In fact, they left him hanging for 10 minutes before a doctor confirmed his death and they untied him and placed him in a white body bag.”
Before the corpse was taken away, officials took DNA samples to convince sceptics that they’d rid the world of the right man. Another witness—who lost 26 family members to Saddam’s regime—said: “Now he is in the garbage of history.”
Jawad Abdul-Aziz, there as a representative of all the tyrant’s victims, added: “When I saw the body in the coffin, I cried. I remembered my three brothers and my father who he had killed. I approached the body and told him, ‘This is the well-deserved punishment of every tyrant'”.
Iraqi national security adviser Mouwafak al-Rubaie told in astonishing detail how he stared into Saddam’s eyes as the fallen dictator muttered reassurance to himself.
Mr al-Rubaie, one of a handful of witnesses, said: “He was very, very broken. He looked really, really weak. He looked at the gallows not believing what was going to happen. He kept on staring at me. I couldn’t see any remorse in his look.
Whether his executioners be Sunni, Shiite, shitat or shittee the devils spawn is gone and by his own peoples court. Good riddance to a man who’s whole life was surrounded by personal murders. He’s amongst good company, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, Idi Amin …….Americans should be amongst the very last people on earth to lionize this crazed butcher.
Saddam had no use for Islam until he got caught and tried. When he realised he was going to be executed, he suddenly got “religion”. But then, many people don’t have any real use for religion until they face the Grim Reaper.
These people boo-hooing because he didn’t have dignified hanging disgust me. Where were these jerks when the video of Nick Berg’s beheading was being circulated on the Internet? I didn’t hear then whining and crying about him not having a dignified beheading, although his only crime was to try to help the Iraqi people.
Linda, hahaha I guess not.
Lyn,your right, the Arabs have no finesse at all. Along with all the other things about them I don’t care for.
Beth they sure have a lot of that, from the things I have read about them.
Jane it is just too weird. Of course it is not true that he is a ghost, but I laughed so hard because it just is something I had not thought of that they would think for some reason. I guess I mostly think of them as praying 5 times a day and then killing……not going around saying they see a ghost. hahaha
Tom, hahahahahahahaha
OMG yes too funny
Jack, thank you so much for that. I had not seen it.
Bob, exactly!!!!
These people boo-hooing because he didn’t have dignified hanging disgust me.

Well BobF – seeing we keep preaching to these ungrateful savages about due process, professional conduct and personal responsibilty we should at least stand by our own retoric don’t you think?
Lyn, we didn’t hang him, his own people did. Also, if I was watching the man who threw my relatives feet first into a wood chipper, slowly put my father in acid, savagely raped my mother, sister, and wife, and butchered my brothers and friends, I don’t think I would act professionally either.
If you want to see some of what this animal did, check out this link. The files are large (25 meg) and are very graphic. I, myself, a retired military man didn’t finish watching some of them as they turned my stomach.

When a people take revenge on the one who brutilized them, it’s never pretty. All-in-all, considering what he did to those people, I think his hanging was very dignified.
Look at what the Italians did to Mussolini. And, they’re a Christian nation.

We are all God’s children and neither of us have the right to judge or condemn any man. God is the most glorious and merciful and only He should be able to decide. Yes,maybe saddam was a bad man but who are we to judge?
Spence, where are you getting your information, concerning God, about who should judge? If your going to use the bible, please don’t use that cliche verse of “judge not and ye shall not be judged” because folks who use that have no idea of the context in which Jesus said those words.
