Vladimir Putin: Russia and Ukraine “are One Nation, and Kiev (Capital of Ukraine) is the Mother of Russian Cities”
Here is Vladimir Putin speaking today and saying Russia and Ukraine “are one nation, and Kiev is the mother of Russian cities.” Kiev is the capital of Ukraine. Putin spoke repeatedly about the need for Russia to protect the interests of the millions of Russians living in Ukraine. He has already set the stage for either a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, or instigating pro-Russian protests that will create a situation he can use as a pretext for taking control of Eastern Ukraine at the least, and probably all of Ukraine.
On Crimea’s supposed 93-95% vote to join with Russia, Putin praised the “will” of the people of Crimea, and said he recognized their desire for “reunification” with the Russia Federation.

We will see what happens next. Kerry has been doing his thing making threats and then almost in the same breath backing off .
