Parker County,TX. Terminal Boy Made Honorary Sheriff’s Deputy (Video)



Parker County, Texas: 4-year-old boy with terminal disease gets his wish to become a sheriff’s deputy.
Chandler Davis, 4, took his oath of office and became an honorary deputy sheriff of Parker County. Chandler was diagnosed with terminal Shwachman Diamond Syndrome, a rare bone marrow cellular disease and malformation of the brain.
Chandler has already endured more than 200 procedures and tests, he may also need a second brain surgery.
Western Wishes teamed up with Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler to grant Chandler’s wish to be a cowboy deputy sheriff. The Parker County Sheriff’s Posse also got Chandler and his family tickets to the Frontier Days Rodeo.
After taking his oath of office, Chandler was presented with a plaque, a patrol deputy uniform, and a genuine deputy sheriff’s badge.
Chandler has been selected as the ambassador to the North Texas region and will attend the National Finals Rodeo held in Las Vegas this December, and the Professional Bull Rider’s World Finals Championship in Cheyenne, Wyo., which will be held in July on Chandler’s fifth birthday .
