Carl Cameron reports that the Florida primary may not be over. Under the Republican National Committee rules, no state can be winner take all until after April 1, which Florida was. Fox News has learned that tomorrow, the Gingrich campaign will send a Florida campaign official to look into the issue and see if they can get the rules enforced that prevent the state from being winner takes all and require that the delegates be divided proportionally. That could give Gingrich delegates from the state.
Wild Thing’s comment……..
So Newt is going to try and have the GOP of Floirda give him some hand outs of delegates. Newt the handout rino.
You can’t win Newt but you will beg, borrow and steal delegates instead. sheesh
Does that mean Romney gets some of the South Carolina delegates?
What the hell is going on? Is the RNC/GOP writing the rules as the election goes on? obama is not defeated yet. The Repub hierarchy may just give him an easy win before this circus is over.
Bob, good point.
Tom, good one, that sure is what it feels like. Writing there rules as they go along.
As much as I wish Newt would just go home and let Santorum be the “other than Romney” guy, I have to agree about “winner-take-all-delegate” primaries. To eke out the slimmest of pluralities? That just sucks. Along with open primaries, where Demunists and fence-sitters get to urinate in the GOP voting pool, those are the two biggest problems with the primary process.
