Obama Speech About Afghanistan (Mostly About Obama) He Does Not Want Victory Against His Taliban Buddies

Rep. Allen West on Obama’s Afghanistan Withdrawal Speech:
“What you Saw was a Highly Politicized ‘Mission Accomplished’ Speech”

.

John Bolton on Afghanistan Pullout.: “Not the Time To Withdraw”
“This is Exactly the Time To Increase Pressure on the Taliban, It Is Not The Time To Begin Withdrawing,
It Is Certainly Not Time To Negotiate”
“If you get down on your opponent’s 20-yard line you don’t say let’s pull some players out of the game”

.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
No mention of General David Petraeus or like West said, too no mention of the Marines etc..
We surrendered and Obama is taking a victory lap? He siad “I” twelve times. ( Fox and Friends this morning counted them. ) He did NOT take advice from the Pentagon, nor from his Generals, Robert Gates, nor from anyone else that wanted Victory! Gates and General Petraeus and his staff both made it very clear to obama about the danger in what obama is determined to do. obama rejected their input.
It strengthens the muzzies and weakens us. Wars do not end it is either surrender ( lost) or Victory.
Obama is diabolical!

Mark says:

According to obama Victory is not his plan. He was embarrassed for the Japanese having to surrender on the deck of the Missouri, he said how humiliating for the Emperor, Even though the Emporeror wasn’t there.
Obama has never defined what we are there for, If victory is not the goal then what is his goal. The Poppie crop still flourishes and provides the rebels with money and arms, we have not been allowed to fight this thing in a way that would convince the most casual observer that we mean what we are doing over there. So what is the goal.
He has already stated Shariah is not the reason we are there, then why. All I can see this is a diversion…But for what?

Think Vietnam, Think Korea
The consistency with which Democratic Presidents and Administrations manage to grab defeat from the jaws of victory, is something that we can all count on.
The fact that they refuse to listen to the advice of the Military experts, who are actually trained in the methods of how to conduct a war, has once again been brought to the fore.
They seem to think that each time will be different, and that are enemies will see things our way, after we apologize. All that is accomplished is that are enemies once again look at the United States as being soft and easily attacked.
After 9/11 President Bush made it very plain that we were going to track down at pursue the enemy who was responsible for the attack. You note that during his term in office there were no further attacks and that the enemy was forced to retreat and in many cases was defeated.

The Reagan Administration and CIA / Covert Special Forces witnessed the Soviet Red Army and Air Force throw everything at the Mujihideen rebels in Afghanistan and RETREAT in the end…
Sad and when will WE THE PEOPLE ever learn from our past glories and mistakes and failures?

Wild Thing says:

Thank you everyone so much.
I agree it reminds me of Vietnam too and how the politicians messed with it. Our troops winning and then Washington had to screw things up.

BobF says:

Can you imagine a Bolton/West ticket and what those two could do for this nation? Just the fact we would have integrity and honor in the White House would put this nation leaps and bounds ahead.
