OBAMA And His Administration Actively Working To STOP Jobs By Attacking The Boeing Company

Not content with pursuing policies that have failed to grow the economy, OBAMA and his administration is now actively discouraging job creation by attacking the Boeing Company for building a plant in a state that protects the right of workers not to unionize. Senate Republicans are urging the president to speak out in support of Boeing and reject the National Labor Relations Board’s attempt to stifle job creation in America. Senate Republicans are also urging the administration to address Medicare’s looming bankruptcy by sitting down with Republicans to work out a way to secure Medicare’s future for the long-term.

Hearing begins in labor complaint against Boeing

Boeing on Tuesday asked a judge in Seattle to dismiss a case brought by the National Labor Relations Board that accuses the plane maker of breaking the law when it built a non-union production line in South Carolina.
The complaint by NLRB acting general counsel Lafe Solomon accused Boeing Co. of illegally retaliating against union workers for past strikes by adding a non-union assembly line for its new 787 passenger jet in South Carolina. The NLRB said Boeing also should move that assembly work to unionized plants in Washington state, where other 787s are assembled.
At the opening of a hearing on the case Tuesday, Boeing attorney William Kilberg said the legal dispute has cast a shadow over the company. He said the process has affected Boeing, its employees, its supplies and its investments. “It’s made life very, very difficult for Boeing,” he said.
“There’s no one injured, no one identified as being injured. No one has lost a job. We have no idea when the board talks about work being transferred, what work they’re referring to,” Kilberg said, adding that 3,176 jobs have been added in Everett, Wash., north of Seattle.
Carson Glickman-Flora, an attorney representing the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, said outside the courtroom Tuesday that it is not necessary to demonstrate economic harm to show Boeing broke the law.
The government’s complaint alleges that company executives made repeated statements to Boeing employees and the media citing the union’s past strike activity and the possibility of future strikes as the overriding factors in deciding to locate a second line in South Carolina.
Mara-Louise Anzalone, counsel for the NLRB’s Solomon, told the judge Tuesday that “this is a rather large, rather straightforward case,” and that union work was transferred to a non-union location.

Wild Thing’s comment…….
DAMN obama!!!!
If Boeing is breaking the law establishing a plant in a Non-Union State , what did GM do when they moved their parts plants to Mexico?
And obama and the union wins this one, it will mean that if your company is not in a right to work state, it cannot move to one. Dictatorship at its best.

For nearly a century, American aviation has been the pioneer standard of air travel, one of our greatest American exports the world over, and a real and sustaining job creator here at home.
Boeing together with all its suppliers and sub contractors employ hundreds of thousands of Americans with very good jobs, too.
This continuing battle between Boeing seeking to do work in the Carolinas and this administration’s NLRB is so emblematic of the incredulous and criminal job killing policies of this horrid White House hell bent on destroying the productive industrial private sector base of this country.
Come January 20, 2013 when the White House, Senate and House are all Republican, perhaps we can begin educating our children more about our productive great American industrialists like William Boeing of Seattle and their exceptional and enduring accomplishments and not all this destructive Marx, Lenin, and Mao crap embraced by these horrid collectivist central planners holed up in this White House.
Jim DeMint is so great isn’t he ?

willy says:

..all hail Obama’s new command-and-control economy , using the NLRB as the commander and controller. Next, ANY goods or services that the gov’t purchases or MAY purchase or if there is a periferal relationship to the gov’t (I.E. your biz is a supplier to a gov’t contractor even if it’s merely toilet paper) will require the union label at all points of production and distribution. (unless it comes from China). If we have a job,we’re all union now…

Avitar says:

Obama has drifted so far into the era of illegality that there is no looking back. He started by not submiting the legally required documntation of his birth and now is engaged in military action that requires a report within 90 days as to what he is doing. He can not even come up with that.

Wild Thing says:

Carlos, I agree, I really like Jimi DeMint.

Wild Thing says:

Willy, you hit the nail on the head that is exactly what Obama is doing.

Wild Thing says:

Avitar, well said!!
